Avery walked into the quiet deserted library. The only person there was the librarian. "Hello, Avery! It's good to see you once again." She said smiling warmly. "You too!" He said politely. Avery looked around trying to find an empty table which wasn't hard at all, sense there wasn't anyone in there. Everyone else was at lunch, but Avery needed to study. Food could wait. He walked over to the table closest to the restricted section which is where he needed to sneak into. He sat his books quietly down on the table, and sat down. "Avery, I will be right back... I need to go on my lunch break. Now don't break any rules while you're in here!" She said sternly. Avery turned around to look at her, and said, "Yeah, no prob." He lied. Of course he was going to break some rules. He watched her leave and then started walking back to the restricted section.
Rosie had so much to complete for the following week of school. She had three essays, for DADA, Charms, and Transfiguration and four chapters of reading to complete for Potions. All this could be completed in the library. Unfortunately, she was interrupted by a noise in the Restricted Section, which sounded oddly like her Slyherin friend, Avery. Abandoning her books, she stood quietly, making her way over to the Restricted Section.

Avery walked back and forth through the restricted section. He couldn't seem to find the book he wanted. He stopped immediately thinking that he heard something...someone. He held his breath waiting to hear something again. To make sure that something was there.
"Look who it is," came Rosie's voice from the entrance to the Restricted Section. She was standing, arms crossed, her hip and shoulder leaning gently against the bookcase next to her. On her face, a rather playful grin was plastered. Her bottle green eyes sparkled as she pushed herself off of the bookcase. "Long time no see, Mr. Bishop."

Avery jumped at the sound of Rosie's playful voice. Avery sighed, and said, "It's good to see you too Rosie!" Avery smiled at Rosie his dark blue eyes shining, with delight. "What are you doing here?"
"Well, I WAS studying," Rosie answered, turning to read the names on the spines of the countless books on the Restricted shelves of the section, "But your ruckus over here was much too distracting." The grin on her face told him she was kidding, as well as that she was glad to see him too.
Avery's eyebrows lifted up and he said, "Was I loud??" The tone in his voice was concerned but also kidding. He laughed, but then remembered that he needed to be quiet. He stifled his laughter and looked at Rosie curious all of a sudden. He raised one eye brow, and stared her in the eyes. "How are you? And yes, I actually do care." He smiled smugly letting his eye brow drop back down to it's normal position.
"Oh, how caring of you," Rosie answered, pretending to be impressed. And how well she could pretend. "I thought a feelingless Slytherin such as yourself would never care about a Gryffindor's feelings. Wouldn't you rather beat me up and leave me in the Forest to die?" Always was she teasing him about his Slytherin-ism. It was difficult to comprehend that she was friends with a Slytherin, but it was also hard to see that Avery was a Slytherin. After all, he sure didn't seem like one.
Everything that came out of Rosie's mouth wasn't suppose to be taken seriously, but Avery took the last of it very seriously. "Who beat you up and left you alone in the forest to die?" Avery was actually concerned at this point. Rosie was his friend and he didn't want anything bad to happen to her. He hadn't seen her in days... or maybe even weeks or months.
"No one," Rosie laughed, punching him lightly in the arm, "Relax, Avery, Lord Almighty." Of course, she had recently been attacked in the Forest, but no one had beaten her up too badly. "Of course, Corliss and Kianthra did happen to assail me in the woods the other day, but no worries. Teddy took care of them. Not sure how he found me, but I suppose that's not really important."
Avery relaxed very grateful that nothing had happened to her. Then he heard about Teddy. "Oh God!" Avery rolled his eyes,"Teddy this...Teddy that! Why in every single conversation we have always involve Teddy?" Avery stopped talking, and looked down at his feet. He wasn't a huge fan of Teddy. Avery hated how Rosie was so involved with him. Or maybe... just maybe Avery was jealous of Teddy. Jealous that Teddy got to spend do much time with Rosie. While Avery got to spend barely any.
"He's not so bad, you know," she answered, tracing the letters on one book's spine with the tip of her pointer finger. "If you'd just give him a chance." Rosie'd always felt bad that she didn't spend more time with Avery. They'd been friends since third year, but after all, they were in enemy houses, so it was difficult for them to hang out ever without people seeing them. And if people saw, everything would get screwed up.
Avery looked at Rosie with a dumbstruck look across his face. "You just don't get it do you?" He walked past her not looking her straight in the eyes. "You want to know something?" He said stopping and turning around to stare at Rosie. "I think that Hogwarts needs a change. I think that we could make that change Rosie!" Avery looked at Rosie, still afraid she didn't understand what he was saying to her.
"What kinda change, Avery, darling?" she asked, slightly confused, "Cause changes are hard to make at a school like Hogwarts." She didn't understand why they needed a change. She liked their secret friendship. Even Teddy didn't know about it, and that was saying something, as she told Ted mostly everything.
Avery rolled his head back trying to clear his head. He went back to the table and sat down. He put his head in his hands. "Just forget about it." Avery missed spending time with Rosie. He wished they could just get away. Where they could catch up.
