"Yeah, I know I know...good time, eh Jam?" he smiled, a sheepish look crossing his face as James used his full name to scold him. "Since when did you ever call me by my full name James Sirius Potter?" He laughed using James' own name in return for him using his. Cade. What kind of a middle name is that anyway? With a K, yes I'd understand...but a C? What were they thinking? Actually, I don't want to know what they were thinking at the time. It's not as if Bellatrix was the overly-motherly type...

James smiled and nodded. He smirked when Zane used his full name. "Since today when I pulled you up on your lying." he said smirking. "Anyway that's not the point. When are we gonna start Lily training?" he asked looking over at the fire craving yet more crumpets. God I'm getting as bad as Zane on the crumpets. He smirked at that.

"Hmm fair enough," he admitted, pausing to consider James' question. They could start right away, which is what they really needed, what Lily needed. Or they could wait a few days, make it more convincing, but then putting Lily in slightly more danger than if they had acted sooner. Or they could not act at all, but that really was out of the question, considering how close Brendon had coming to killing Lily only a few days previously. I can't let it get that close again. We need to start now, right away, but Lily's not going to like it. "As soon as possible I think, we can't afford to wait any longer..."

James smiled at watched his friend consider what to do about Lily and nodded when he said as soon as possible. "We could start tomorrow, same place as before. I'll join in and pretend to be training as well so she won't get suspicious about the fact that we are training her to defend herself agianst Keaton." he said smiling at Zane. He thought about how close Keaton had got in Hogsmede and shook his head "We can never let him get that close to ending her life again." he muttered just loud enough for Zane to hear.

"Tomorrow it is then," he nodded as he said this, thinking about the last few days. Tess. She had sacrificed her own life to save Lily's. That shouldn't of happened. It shouldn't of happened. If I'd been looking out for Lily, staying by her side, then we wouldn't have gotten into that mess at the shrieking shack. But I can't blame her. It's not her fault she's inquisitive and just happens to attract trouble wherever she goes...I just need to be a better friend, boyfriend, instead of a bodyguard. I mean, I can't look after her all the time, but I can have a good go at it. His thoughts turned to the crisp white sheets that awaited him upstairs in the dormatory, some well earned sleep was just what the healer had ordered. "No we can't and won't," he said quietly, staring into the flames once more.

James nodded and said "Ok, I'll leave you to tell her and I'll meet you there." he said. He thought back to the time in the shrieking shack where the last scene between his sister and Keaton had unfolded and frowned as the girl, who he found out later was Keaton's girlfriend had taken the curse for Lily. He felt the pain that he had felt as he heard Keaton shout the killing curse and the feeling of fury towards him. He knew that Zane would want to sleep and looked at his watch "Shit, I need to do that transfiguration essay for tomorrow, I'll catch up with you later." and stood up running to the stairs towards the dorms to get his bag.
