Food. Not only food, but the delicious taste of wizarding candy. Aiden dreamed about the shelves and counters of counters for about a week now. Of course he could have come weeks earlier, sneaking into Hogsmeade was pretty easy. Coming up with a lie that with stood was just a pain in the ass. Aiden could ultimately wait. There wasn't anything better then walking into a fully heated shop after the Autumn gusts pierced his skull confusing him more. October, due to a headache (probably from her latest mood of depression, since of the tragic night at the Whomping Willow), stayed back in the common room catching up on a few hours of sleep and studying. There was nothing her could really do except hold her hand and comfort her lately. She was a walking corpse, eyes staring out the window. Every once and a while he would get a smile and giggle, slight banter out of her but otherwise it was the same. She missed him. And he couldn't blame her. Just maybe a few pieces of candy and jug of butterbeer would brighten her days. Pacing the aisles of candy Aiden muttered to himself eyes glazed over the immense amount of candy. Students such as himself littered the store bickering couples, and idiotic third years daring each other to eat different Bertie Bots. "Ugh, what in the hell looks good."

"Come on! Eat it! Eat it! I dare ya to eat it!" Xavier frowned as he pushed the door open, barely managing to keep from hitting the annoying third year Slytherein standing infront of the portal, who shot a venomous look before realizing who stood before her. She shrank form Mister Blake's muscular figure, swallowing the vomit jelly bean she had been so terrified to devor before without another thought. She stuttered, trying to come up with a few words, but utterly failed, and allowed herself to be pulled away by her two friends. Xavier let out a sigh, as he watched them. His eyes met with the only boy in the group, but the younger dropped his gaze. It was confusing why so many people feared him. Was it because he was taller than most, practically a giant? Was it his strange, confidant nature which was so foreign in anyone but Death Eaters these days? Or was it the fact he never seemd to have a steady girlfriend, yet had a trail of suitors a mile long. Just this morning he had broken the heart of a Miss Carly Moon, and turned down a number of offers for a companion to the Yule Ball, which was too far away for him to accept, even if one of the askers had been to his liking. No, someone else had grabbed hold of his heart, and twisted it into the whirl which was it's current state. Sliding his way into one of the more empty aisles, he pointlessly plucked box after box from the shelf, reading the label before shoving it back. He was not in the mood for sweets, but there was nothing else to do on such a dreary day. His friends were probably all off somewhere doing something that would get them expelled if not for their rich mummies and daddies. It was as quiet as it was gonna get when the only other person in the aisle wondered outloud what looked good, and Xavier hadn't the common sense to ignore the older boy. "Anything but the Chocolate Frogs. The experation dates are from when my parents came here"

Aiden produced a smile hiding the slight surprise he achieved that Xaiver was actually talking to him. Well, he understood why. Ignorance may be bliss but it didn't exactly fly with Aiden. "I'll heed your warning." With a smirk he turned his back to the Slytherin puzzling over what he was actually going to buy. "Have any ideas of candy for a depressed girlfriend?" Himself, disregarded the question since he knew the answer. Nothing. Candy was an escape for most people to drowned themselves in. It didn't mean the pain that laid underneath eventually rearing it's ugly head to any notion of sadness went away completely. It was one thing to live and forget, it was another thing to forget and move on.
