She didn't want to fight with him, so she tried to bite her tongue. Ellie could be a tad sharp when it came to things like this, but she couldn't do that now. Louis was one of her best friends, and if she lost him now, things wouldn't be going to well for her.
"That's obvious," she told him when he said he hadn't thought about this whole situation much. Hell, she wouldn't have either. If anything, she would've thought less about it than him, as she wasn't the greatest planner in the entire world. But he had to have at least thought about some of it. Her job in this was simply to pick up the pieces of his mistake and see if she could help him put them back together. Cover things up. Which she tended to be good at.
"It's fine, lovely," she told him, giving him a grin of reassurance. Really, it wasn't fine, but he had enough to worry about at the moment and Ellie was a good enough friend to know he couldn't handle much else. 'Got any ideas?"
He sighed again, though he looked back at Ellie, he knew it wasn't fine, that he shouldn't have done it but he wasn't thinking straight when Lilah had asked him that question, well the only coherent thought is his brain had been not to tell her the truth. But now he had to do something, knowing Lilah she'd 'accidentally' let something slip to Ellie at some point, but until then they didn't have to do anything.
"Lilah will probably 'let this slip' to you at some point, but until then everything can just stay like normal. Once she's said something I don't know what to do. Help me?" He explained running his hand through his hair.
Oh, what a tangled web we weave, when first we practice to deceive.

Ellie absent-mindedly wondered how much of a coward he could be that he couldn't even tell the girl he liked that he liked her. She pondered on how he'd even gotten into the house of the lion. Perhaps he'd tricked the Sorting Hat. Or maybe, he'd just lost his nerve and gone soft over the years.
Stay like normal. They could do that. Sure, it might be a tad hard, when every second, she'd be wanting to ring the Huffle girl's neck for causing Louis and her this much trouble, but she supposed s he could try if she must. And according to her friend, the only shot they had at fooling the girl was if they acted normal until Lilah spilled the beans.
Ellie thought for a moment. "Well, I suppose she'll push you into making a move on me," the girl told him, shuddering slightly at the thought. "Normally, I'd kick you in the balls if you did something like that. But I suppose you kinda need to for this to work, right?"
Ok, so he hadn't acted very much like a Gryffindor should over the past few hours, but telling Ellie this had taken a lot more courage than he ever dreamed he'd have. Sure, he couldn't tell Lilah Krum that he liked her, but there were reasons and circumstances beyond his control.
Normal. Louis had gotten rather good and pretending everything was normal, surely he could keep it up for a little while longer. "Yeah she probably will." He sighed, though he cringed slightly as she mentioned what her usual reaction would be, were he to 'make a move' on her. "I kind of do I think Elle." He said quietly, looking at his friend apologetically. He hated putting her in this position, but greatly appreciated the fact that she hadn't killed or castrated him yet.
