It was time. She felt it in her core. The feeling that something had to be done with the dead boy. It had to be done quickly. "I need you now." she whispered, not wanting the moment to ever end, but begging it to end at the same time. It was amazing hearing Naoh whisper the three words. Her heart swelled in her chest. She could do this. She had to do it. Her life depended on it. She took a deep breath, wishing she could let Noah throw the boy into the tree. "No, my sweet Noah, I have to finsih the task. I was told to do it, and I must finsih." she sighed, taking ahold of his hand before pushing away and standing up. She removed the tears that lingered on her pale face and helped Noah up. She didn't let go of his hand as she lifted her wand back up. She mentally thought of the curse and let the rest of the work do itself. She couldn't see Tobie crying over his dead body anymore. She thrust her wand and watched as the Whomping Willow thrashed the dead boy.
Noah only nodded his head. "Then by your side I'll stay." he whispered before she stood up. He watched as she wiped the tears away and his heart stung. He stood up with her and gave her her space as she levitate the motionless body into the tree. As soon as the tree began it's attack, Noah reached out for Corliss's waist and pulled her into his side, holding her close to his body as possible and tried to shield her from the pain. His and reached up to her face, wiping away the tears that fell from her eyes. He soon moved his hand away and began to kiss the tears away, tasting the saltiness in each kiss. "You are so brave love." he whispered, his hand taking her waist and pulling her closer into him. He rested his forehead against hers as her held onto her tightly, never wanted to let her go. She was in so much pain right now, and he knew that even this, the only way he could help her, wasn't enough to make it go away.

Even though the deed was done and Noah was holding her so close she thought he could feel her heart beating, Corliss knew hat the pain in her heart wouldn't fade too soon. She had felt him pull her back, holding her as if to not let her see the tree do the terrible work, Corliss cried. She cried and cried. She felt Noah's hands removing the tears then kissing them away, but it wouldn't help. She had killed a friend. Killed her best guy friend. She knew that nothing would ever stop the heart ache that she had caused. "I'm not brave. I killed him. If I was brave, I would have told Charlotte that I didn't want to kill him. I'm a coward." she whispered as Noah rested his forehead upon hers. She stretched her neck and kissed him softly on his lips, pulling herself closer into his body.
