Eight-thirty is a normal time for a student at Hogwarts to waken to start their day...unless it's a Saturday. Which it is. And eight-thirty on a Saturday is an ungodly hour for Scorpius Malfoy. What woke him from his peaceful slumber? Some idiot girl screaming in her dormatory. Something about a spider. How incredibly stupid.
At first, the 17-year old Slytherin thought, Okay, they'll probably kill it and go back to sleep. A rather...optomistic thought, at best. For another ten to fifteen minutes, other girls awoke, starting to scream as well:
"You kill it!" "Me?! No way!" "EW! It's going up the wall!"
All this squealing over a bug was rediculous in Scorpius's mind. Knowing that no one was EVER going to kill the stupid thing, the, now moody, Slytherin kicked off his sheets and got ready for the day. While putting on a fresh shirt and brushing his teeth, a growling came from a little ways below him: He was hungry.
He walked out of the common room and up the stairs of the dungeon, hands shoved in his pockets. A pair of Gryffindors passed him by, recieving a glare and an eyeroll at their confused looks. When Scorpius got to the Great Hall, it was decently filled. He took a seat at the Slytherin table, although it was apparent that no one was there yet from his house.
Scorpius knew it would only be a matter of time before someone of interest came to join him. Or at least someone to get this irritability out of him; perhaps a Muggle or something...

Kianthra was already awake by the time the screaming started. She headed over to the mirror whilst the other girls were climbing onto their beds in case the spider crawled on them. Her hair was perfect, as usual, curled into loose waves. She blinked several times to rid the tiredness from her eyes. The brown eyes stared back at her, beautiful yet deadly as a friend of hers had described them. She dressed in jeans, a white shirt and a waistcoat and headed out into the common room. It was deserted and no wonder, considering the time.
She dodged around the sofa and headed out into the dungeon corridor. Walkin briskly up the stairs into the entrance hall, the few people who she met avoided her eyes. As she crossed the entrance hall, a group of first years scattered, fully aware that she did not take kindly to first years.
Kianthra entered the Great Hall and caught sight of Scorpius. She sat down next to him, without a word and began pouring herself some pumpkin juice before reaching for a plate of toast. "Sleep well?"
SLYTHERIN - Some are born evil, some achieve evil and some have evilness thrust upon them
Kianthra had arrived, and evidently was not affected by the antics in the girls' dormatory. Not that she seemed cheerful, but definitely better off than Scorpius. He almost laughed at her question. He scoffed.
"I did, until a bloody spider apparently was attacking the girls in the dorms."
A moody bite of toast; it was particularly good today. The Slytherin sipped some water and looked at Kianthra.
"I swear if every time a spider is going to disturb me from sleeping ever Saturday, I'll sleep in the forest."
Scorpius added, a glint of anger in his dark eyes.

"When I left they were all stood on top of their beds and the spider was nowhere to be seen. I would have expected that reaction from first and second years, not seventh years," She had a few bites of toast before continuing, "sleeping in the forest isn't all what it's cracked up to be. It's probably noiser spending a night in the forest than in your dorm, maybe try the common room next time? Or you could always sleep in the Room of Requirement, it's quite a walk from the common room though." She finished the piece of toast, which lifted her mood slightly.
"Toast?" she said offering him the plate. The smell of hot buttered toast drifted through the air, circulating around the Slytherin table. She glared at some passing first year Hufflepuffs and they quickly sped up to get away as quickly as possible.
"Oh how I hate first years, almost as much as I hate my brother."
Scorpius, despite his temper this morning, half smiled as he took another piece of toast from the offered plate. Food was calming his bothersome stomach, and made his mood a bit better as well. Hufflepuffs, first years by the look of their still-awed faces as they entered the Great Hall, came towards them. Ew. They almost made Scorpius want to puke. They were annoying (even some Slytherins, too) and practically knew nothing. Scorpius was lucky enough to have parents, aunts, and grandparents who knew pretty much everything about the school; he came well prepared and learned.
He smirked as Kianthra glared, and at her statement, pulled an expression of mock-sympathy.
"Aw, don't hate them too much, Kianthra." He leaned in with a michievious look and smirked.
"Who else would we harrass when we're pissed off?"

" Well the New Order for starters, that metawolf, Weasle and that traitor, tradition-ignoring, wretched brother of mine," Kianthra paused and instantly calmed down. As you could probably guess, Kianthra wasn't in the best of spirits, seeing as though Zane was the one who knew her secret.
"I think they're scared of you," she said as a first year Ravenclaw almost ran past the table. "I think we are simply misunderstood," she smiled once more. At least Scorpius and herself had one thing in common, their hatred of first years, oh and blood traitors, and the new order. Ok so maybe more than one thing in common.
SLYTHERIN - Some are born evil, some achieve evil and some have evilness thrust upon them
"Well now," He grinned, sipping his water before continuing, "I had almost forgotten about them. Hmm..." The Slytherin went off into his own thoughts; oh, the things they could do to them. It was enough to make one chuckle. Scorpius watched the Ravenclaw gallop past the two of them. He returned this annoyance with a glare before flicking his eyes towards Kianthra.
Another smirk.
"It doesn't bother me if they're scared of me. It just means it's easier to get them to do what I wish."
Which was true, of course. He was never wrong. Fear did have a certain way of persuading people. As if he didn't have the skill to persuade people otherwise, ha.

Charlotte had woken up early as usual and layed in bed with her eyes open. She was enjoying the unusual silence the morning was giving her. The only thing she could hear a the moment was her beating heart. Of course her paradice could only last for so long. She hissed at the sudden screams of her fellow room mates.
She felt embaressed that girls like them were let into this house, if Slytherin was going to have a pathetic bunch of 7th year girls like them they might as well all be 1st years. She angrily pulled herself out of bed as it began making itself up. She threw on dark washed shorts and a pale yellow shirt. She glared at the girls as she simply stepped on the aracnid as she made her way out into the common room. SHe gave the group one last glare shutting them up instantly.
She glanced around the commons and not spotting anyone of interest continued on her way to the Great Hall. She then turned her glared onto passing Hufflepuff, turning from them snidely. SHe walked into the Great Hall and gazed around the tables, few people turned around to look at her, and those who did knew to turn right back around. She glided over to her closest two DE members, sitting down next to them, mummbling a hello as place a spoonful of fruit on her plate. It seemed like Kia and Scopious were just as frustrated at the annoying students of this school as she was.

"Fair point"
Kianthra turned to look at Scorpius and then said, "what is it with everyone today? Has everyone suddenly become incapable of behaving in a civilzed fashion? I mean, take earlier this morning, they were screaming like 10 year olds. I bet they are still there now, still stood on top of their beds arguing over who should kill that spider..."
Another bite of toast as she caught sight of Charlotte heading over to them. She smiled at her and then continued, "oh and another thing...why can't they just learn magic before they come here. And why do they have to stand in the corridor blocking the way so no one can get past? Take yesterday for example, two first-years fighting over a fanged frizbee, almost causing Eleanor to drop all her books. So I confiscated the frizbee and broke up the fight with two body bind curses, now I think about it, why was I so nice too them?"
She had another sip of pumpkin juice, which signalled the end of her rant.

Charlotte grinned, "Well, their all probably deciding whose going to be the one to clean it up now, I stepped on it on my way out of that bloody room. I swear if those girls act like that over a spider, I feel like kicking Marcy out. She was the bulk of the screams; We don't need someone like that fighting in our battles." She was only half joking, it didn't take much to get on her nerves.
She took a few bites of fruit, "Sometimes it feels like the younger ones just want to be picked upon. Their lucky you were in a good mood when you caught them." She watched as a few more Slytherins walked to the table. She connected eyes with only a few of them giving them a simple nod.
She wanted to have another meeting in a few days, she needed to weed out the weaklings and see how the younger ones were doing.
Post by Kianthra Lestrange on May 21, 2009 11:58:30 GMT
"Hmm. I know what you mean. Marcy is so...what's the word?...immature. Mind you she's quite good teaching the younger ones." Another sip of pumpkin juice and she continued, "I've been thinking, I don't think we should use the Room of Requirement for our meetings, especially when we are discusing plans. I just have a feeling that the NO can hear every word we are saying. Of course we could still train in there as there would be no where else where we could find all the equiptment. The common room is too crowded, Potions is a bit predictable especially with him on our side so I don't know where we could hold them."
She paused for another bite of toast, her eyes focused on the door where there was a showdown occuring between the Gryffindors and Slytherins. "At last some entertainment. That's brightened up the morning slightly. Up for a bet Scorpius, on who's going to win? A chocolate frog that the little Gryffindor with the brown plaits will end up in the hospital wing." She smiled at him. What was wrong with her? Her eyes flicked around the hall searching, no he wasn't there. She breathed a sigh of relief. I really need to move on and get over it she thought her focus switching back to the fight.
Scorpius listened to the conversation, munching on his toast and all the while wondering, Who the bloody hell is 'Marcy?' Besides the most obnoxious screamer in the entire girls dormatory, it seemed. Not that he cared much; he didn't normally associate with first years, anyway. They were whiny, and most of the time didn't have a clue. Why give youself the aggrivation?
Scorpius felt a rush of relief; a fight had broken out between some Slytherins and Gryffindors. At least now they'd have something to watch and jeer at besides bothersome first years passing by.
"Finally, something relatively exciting!"
He laughed a bit at the proposition.
"Don't think it'll be much of a bet if I agree with you, but I think the runty kid with the block glasses'll be the first to go. He looks really weak...well, they all do, really."
Scorpius leaned up on the table to get a better look, smiling at the misfortune of the Gryffindors.
Post by Kianthra Lestrange on May 23, 2009 17:14:43 GMT
Kianthra smiled and then said, "I think you might be right" as the kid in question fell over whilst trying to retrieve his wand from his pocket. She watched the fight escalate and then, "hmm that was quite a good curse, your friend with the glasses is out for the count. Who was that? I can't believe I'm going to say this but, that first year's quite talented," as she pointed to one of the younger first years who had dark brown hair. "Do you know his name Scorpius?"
Three Gryffindors lying on the floor only two left standing, of course the Slytherins were upright and using some kind of attack-in-a-pack strategy. Ok at least they were a lot better than the Gryffindors. Miles better.
She glanced over to the other side of the hall and saw a prefect heading over to break up the fight.
He snorted as the kid with the glasses was blown away, smiling and just barely holding himself from applauding. He restrained himself, but only just.
"The Slytherin who sent the Levicorpus spell? Like I'd take the time to actually figure out his name, but he may be useful in the DE with time, don't you agree?"
Even though the kid was a first year, if he already knew spells like that then he'd most likely be powerful with age. Scorpius pondered this until the prefect came over to break up the fighting. He scowled, looking back at his toast.
"And guess who's going to get in trouble? The 'Big Bad Slytherins,' that's who."
Post by Kianthra Lestrange on May 26, 2009 16:37:46 GMT
"Yes that's the one, he would be useful. He could even teach the second years. I don't think he's ready yet though, doesn't look as though he's got the drive, even though there's no doubting he has the ability." She looked at the first year and then turned back to Scorpius and said, "of course the Slytherins will get in trouble. Who would blame the little pathetic Gryffindorks of starting a fight. I think Slytherin is simply stereotyped and that we are all just misunderstood," She laughed at this and smiled.
The prefect seemed to be having a bit of bother with the Slytherins in question. Good, that's a sign of determination and character. "Ah! I win the bet!," she said happily as the girl with the palits was led off towards the Hospital Wing accompanied by Scorpius' bet, the runty kid with the glasses.
