The Basics
Name: july abigail anderson.
Age: seventeen.
Year: seventh.
Blood: muggle-born.
House: hufflepuff.
i solemnly swear that i am up to no good.
Appearance
Celebrity: diana vickers.
Looks: july's hair is, in about three words, long, blonde, and messy. she never really does much with it- she just brushes it and keeps it down, true to her laid-back style. sometimes, when she wants to mix things up, she'll tie it back in a messy bun or ponytail, but that's about as fancy as she'll get with it.
july's eyes are a light blue color- nothing very remarkable about them. she has naturally long eyelashes, which she coats with mascara and eyeliner at the beginning of each day. you wouldn't think it, because of her laid-back style, but july adores make-up of all shapes and sizes. it's one of her girliest qualaties.
july's face is heart-shaped, average-sized, and overall normal-looking. her nose is a bit small, but she figures it's a lot better than if it were oversized. her skin is relativley clear- when she does get a bit of acne, which happens every once in a while, she'll just cover it up with make-up and hope nobody gets close enough to notice.
july is tall compared to most girls in her year- she's 5 foot 9 and a half. rather than slouching all the time to hide this, she cracks jokes about it ("uh-oh, it's starting to rain up here"), even though she secretly loves being taller than most. she tips the scales at 135 pounds- perfectly average for her height.
july's smile is her favorite thing about herself. it's big and cheery, and reveals her white teeth. naive as it may sound, she likes to think that she can cheer up others with it. july is also addicted to black nail polish- it's her trademark thing, i guess you could say.
july's clothing style is what some would call "laid-back", and the more critical would call "lazy". she wears jeans that, in all honesty, are a bit on the tight side, a pair of beat-up sneakers with yellow soles on the bottom (she used to joke that she was "walkin' on sunshine, woaaaaah!" all the time), and various oversized sweatshirts she's nicked from her muggle brother, james. she's absolutley in love with rings, and can be found wearing three or four at any given moment.

Likes:
+ tropical places
+ muggle soccer
+ doodling during class
+ writing songs, even though she's a horrible singer
+ butterbeer, firewhiskey, and muggle drinks
+ partying
+ wearing sunglasses, even indoors
+ taking pictures and making them into scrapbooks
+ boys
+ acting crazy
Dislikes (At least 5):
- being alone
- schoolwork
- pumpkin juice
- playing quidditch
- libraries, or even books in general
- know-it-alls
- people who call her 'mudblood'
- shy people
- sharp objects
- chocolate
Strengths (At least 5):
+ not afraid about what other people think. july will do what she wants, when she wants to, and not care in the slightest what those around her will think or say about it later on.
+ outgoing. she can be loud and noisy to the point where some would actually think of her as obnoxious. if you're one of these people, see above strength.
+ witty. july can crack a joke about just anything, which can relieve awkward situations or cause a distraction so she can get out of somewhere.
+ shameless. she'll do just about anything and have no guilt about it.
+ soccer. july has a real passion for the game, and is a star midfielder. of course, this doesn't do much good in the wizarding world, but she loves it.
Weaknesses (At least 5):
- falls in "love" with every guy she meets. yes, july is one of those girls who quickly falls for each and every guy that says so much as "hello" to her.
- shameless. this is both july's strength and weakness. she's been known to believe in the motto, "no ring means fair game," which, needless to say, has made her quite a few female enemies in the past.
- horrible at saving money. whenever she actually manages to make any, be it a gift or for doing somebody a favor, july will bust it on alcohol, sweets, or a girl's night involving a combonation the two.
- alcohol. july loves it- perhaps a bit too much. she's that one girl at the party who is wasted within the first half hour.
- classes. july couldn't care less about her grades- she barely ekes out a pass during exams more often than not.
Fears (At least 5):
- being unloved by all.
- snow. don't ask her why- she just does.
- snakes.
- her father dying.
- her brother or mother getting harmed in some way.
Flaws:
- she trusts people too much, and is constantly let down by them as a result of this.
- anger. july is not somebody you'd want to anger. she has a short temper and a small conscience to back it up.
- stubborn. july is not likely to back down on an argument, even if she knows she's wrong.
Over All Personality: july is most likely one of the craziest girls you'll ever meet. she loves to party, and when she's had too much to drink, she'll become ever more loud, random, and giggly than normal. her friends never let her live down the time when she busted out in her best air guitar in the middle of a bar with a live band. she's found that cracking jokes about stuff that you're slightly embarrased about portrays you as weird but hilarious, whereas just blushing and stammering will give you a reputation to rival the class dork.
when she was in her first year, July worked as hard as she possibly could to get the best marks possible- after all, kids had called her the "monster freak" at her elementary school (see history), she didn't expect to have a social life at this one. to her great surprise, however, that's exactly what happened- she made friends quickly, dropped the braniac act, and started to be her wild and crazy self.
july's romantic life is far from simple. she's the type that will fall for every guy she sees, and then two weeks later, whadda ya know, she's sitting on her bed with a box of chocolates bawling her eyes out over the lad that she was sure was her true love. then, a few days later, when she's bounced back, she'll lay eyes on yet another good-looking boy and it'll start all over again.
whenever something's going on in her life, july will write about it. poems, songs, diary entires- anything you can think of, she'll write one. Probably not with correct grammar, but she'll write it. she's up for just about anything, dangerous, stupid, or reckless as it may be- she just wants to have fun.
History
Parents:
+ ashley belle anderson: july's mother, ashley, is a muggle elementary school teacher. she disapproves of her daughter's wild and crazy ways, but loves her to death despite it.
+ everett clay anderson; july's father, everett, is a muggle solider who has been deployed for the entirety of her life. she's never met him personally, but they've been exchanging letters ever since july could write. unlike her mother, he's quite easy going about his daughter's wild ways, or at least, he seems so in his letters. she can be totally real with him and tell him everything that's going on in her life- without editing out the parties and drinks- and he'll be cool with it. though she's never actually seen him, she feels like she knows him just as well as her mother.
Siblings:
+ james everett anderson. july's muggle twin brother, james, is, as she says, "the shiz." he's dorky, he wears glasses, he's small and skinny, he's cranky, and he's the biggest bookworm she's ever met, but she absolutley adores him. she refers to him as "ickle evvy" and treats him like a much younger sibling, simply because she was born two minutes before he. she constantly steals his sweatshirts to take off to school.
Family History:
From the minute he saw her, Everett knew that she was something special. Ashley Belle Thompson. Even her name sounded wonderful. So when he stood up from his lunch table and walked over to hers, boldly introducing himself, the thought didn't even occur to him that she wouldn't instantly fall for him. That was Everett for you- sweet and nice at times, but cocky, arrogant, and full of himself every other minute of the day. So when Ashley Belle looked up at him, rolled her ocean blue eyes, and went back to chatting with her friends, his world turned upside-down. This girl was a challenge, and he liked that.
Nine years, many arguments and make-ups, countless soft kisses, much eye-rolling, and one marriage proposal later, Ashley and Everett were at a local muggle hospital, holding the two newest additions to the Anderson family- two tiny, crying babies- one a girl and one a boy. "James Everett Anderson," Ashley whispered. "It's perfect." They couldn't, however, agree on the tiny blonde baby girl's name. "Anna Leigh? Kaitlyn? Erica? Emma?" Everett threw out every name he could think of, but nothing satisfied the stubborn Mrs. Anderson.
Much brainstorming later, Ashley looked up from the hospital bed, a gleaming smile on her face. "July Abigail! Like the month!" She seemed so happy that Everett didn't dare contradict it. And so James and July were welcomed into the Anderson family.
