The Basics[/u][/b]
Name: Annika Jade Bass (goes by Dottie)
Age: sixteen
Year: sixth
Blood: half-blood
House: Ravenclaw I solemnly swear that I am up to no good
Appearance[/u][/size]
:
Celebrity: Katy Perry
Looks:
[Never a fan of her natural dirty blonde locks, Dottie's hair has been kept dyed a dark shade of brown since she was at least eleven. It reaches her shoulders, surpassing them by an inch or so, and always looks perfectly disheveled, cut in its long, uneven layers. The kind of hair you spend all morning on, just to make sure it looks messy enough. Dottie commonly loves to accessorize her mop with bows, and clips, just like a little girl would do. This all helps frame her soft, oval face. While the features are soft, as stated earlier, Dottie's cheekbones are harsh, and well defined, making her look perfectly sweet when need be, but will give her that "bitch, not today" look when she needs it. Overall, Dottie has a nice face. Not ugly, but not drop dead gorgeous. Though there are girls who would kill for her complexion. Fair, and acne free, with a natural hint to her cheeks that leaves no need for blush. Much like that of a porcelain doll, with big, brown eyes. The thing that Dottie dislikes most about her face, is here small, pinched nose. If it had to be compared to anything, it would have to be that of a pug. Adorable on a dog, yes. Teenage girl? Not so much. But it works for Dottie, somehow. She makes up for it in full lips, that draw the attention away from the slight mishaps of her nose.
[As for makeup, dress, and overall style, you could say Dottie is "out there." Or, maybe just pushing the envelope a little bit. Her looks, not unlike her overall mind, are scattered and quite bipolar. One day, she'll go with natural colors, and nude eyeshadow for a fresh look, and the next, she'll feel the need to go all out with electric blue shadow, and purple eyeliner. Dottie is unafraid of making every day Halloween, but sometimes she's just too lazy. And no matter what she does with that palette called a face, she can always pull it off as to a point where it's accepted by others. Some people aren't blessed with this versatility in their looks-another thing Dottie takes for granted about her style and looks. Her style of clothing is much the same. Cute little dresses with boots will suit her fine, but the next day it'll have to be jeans and a t-shirt with gaudy, chunky jewelry. The one positive thing that comes out of this fine mess? Easy shopping.

Over All Personality:
lover Dottie does not believe in the word hate. You'll never hear her say she "hates" anything, no matter how much she may dislike it. Homework, for example. Sure it's not on her list of fun things to do, but she still doesn't hate it. Nicely enough, same goes for Dottie and other people. She doesn't hate, and doesn't judge those she doesn't know. She also doesn't believe in first impressions, and gives far too many "second" chances. She's simply one of those people who lives by forgiving and forgetting, and letting everyone in. Sure, it gets her hurt a fair bit, but it's easier than living with all that hate and fire in your heart. Dottie will also always accept you for who you are. You could be a bald, one-eyed old lady with purple arm hair, and she'd treat you just as if you're her best friend. Hell, that actually does sound like someone that Dottie would pick for a best friend.
boys when it comes to the opposite sex, Dottie refuses to be called anything less than an expert. She loves them, like none other. If she had a penny for every time she let her little mind wander to the subject of boys, Dottie would quite possibly be the richest girl alive. Although sometimes relationships make her feel smothered, having a boyfriend doesn't always come in a package with having an obsession with males. There's always the classic one night stand, or friends with benefits..that's not going to say that Dottie doesn't do relationships, but she always prefers "no strings attached" if at all possible. It isn't the commitment that's an issue for her, but rather, the fact that she can't play with all the other toys that were once available to her. Okay, so maybe that is a commitment problem, but if she tried hard enough, Dottie could be a good girl.
school Dottie is a nerd. She's not proud of it, but the truth can only be avoided so much. The girl could pass anything with her eyes closed, and facing backwards. Yeah, she studies, but sometimes she simply doesn't have to. It just comes naturally, which is something a lot of people don't usually get away with. Dottie realizes she is lucky for this. However, this is not Dottie's only nerd-esque antic. She'll stay in bed all day reading the same book over and over again, and not tiring of it. Then she'll write about it. Just for giggles. Or she'll write her own story off pure inspiration. Sound like fun, anyone? No? Well that's typically how Dottie spends her sleepless nights. And sometimes, just those boring days.
bipolar what person doesn't have some sort of chemical imbalance these days? Dottie was diagnosed with manic depression (bipolar disorder) at age nine. When not properly medicated, this girl can be a real bitch. But, when all the meds are said and done, she's a seemingly perfectly normal teenage girl. Not many people know about this. Not because Dottie is embarrassed, but she simply feels it's just not something the whole world really gives a care about. And plus, she just likes to make her scatter brained ways part of her lovable overall personality, not something she has no control over. It makes her feel powerful.
