Dainty and bird-boned to the farrest point of fragility, the scrawny, simple thing that is Marie has never been one to stand out drastically from the crowd. Her plain, charming beauty does, however, catch quite a few eyes. The stunning looks that plague most women of her nationality have not left her unnoticed. Instead, her high, delicate cheekbones, narrow nose, and thin, expressive eyebrows contribute to make a masterpiece of a face that is both drastically natural and quite refreshingly unique.
Long, thick brown locks constantly molest the face of this particular young girl. Too keep those russet tresses from constantly raping her mouth, she tends to tie them back in braids and what-not, as distractions are really quite irritating when she's attempting to read a rather complicated volume of knowledge. Her intelligent brown eyes are just that. Brown. Plain, simple, and quite a bore to describe, especially when perhaps the only thing to be a said about them is that they're rather dark. Marie tends to wear a pair of large, thick-rimmed glasses when reading, which is practically all the time.

Personality:
Quiet as a mouse would perhaps be the best metaphor to describe such a young lady as Marie. When she does talk, however, it's in a civilly toned voice. The girl is always polite and has a bit of a charm about her that people are rather drawn to. She enjoys talking to people, and cheering them up with her sweet smile, but too much of the human race will have her scrambling into a corner and pulling out the rather obese book that she constantly carries around with her.
For the girl is quite smart. She wouldn't have gotten the opportunity to come to Hogwarts if she was otherwise. She spends most of her time reading or writing essays, and has an air of disdain for distractions. Partying, firewhiskey, and anything that would remotely jeopardize her time in the least is something that she doesn't see fit to do.

History:
Marie Violetta Devereaux was born a quiet, happy baby. She grew up in a small town in the French country side The small girl rarely cried and learned to read and write at a young age. Her older brother kept her company and read to her often, as her parents were often off trying to earn enough to make ends meet. The small family were considered rather low-status in French society.
She learned of her magical side when recieved the letter from Beauxbatons Academy at age ten. She was whisked away from her family and taught to be a lady at the pristigious all-girls school. In fact, she studied so hard that she became one of the top students at the Academy and was soon offered an opportunity to spend a year overseas in England at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Naturally, she accepted. Her parents believed it would be a good opportunity for her.
