"Shush Rosie, or you'll get us caught!" he chuckled, his hand in hers, leading her up towards the tower. He had heard that Professor Aurora was on leave today, meaning there was no chance that they would get caught. Well.. there was... but it was highly unlikely to happen. Tonight seemed like the perfect night, the sky was clearer then it had been in a while. He had heard other Gryffindors saying they were sneaking out to the Black lake for a little star gazing, but they were bound to get caught, or be locked out of the castle. He couldn't see a disadvantage to this one.

Once he reached the door, he climbed the stairs and pulled out his wand. "Alohomora." he murmured, sending the door open instantly. He had already been up here earlier, to set up, so he stepped up the ladder before turning back to Rosie. Her face was illuminated by the moon light, which was only in it's half stage, meaning no grumpy Teddy. He could help but smiling, knowing actually after two years, she felt exactly the same way he did. He shook his head slightly, pulling him out of his daze and took her hand helping her up the last bit of steps.

His hand immediately shot to her eyes. "No peeking." he whispered in her ear, smelling her sweet aroma as he pulled away from her, guiding her down the steps of the classroom. He was careful, while one hand was covering her eyes, the other was one her waist, holding her in case she fell, which she gracefully didn't, since them made it to the bottom step with ease. He looked around at their surrounds one more time before pulling his hand away. "You can look now." he told her, a smile on his face.

He had cleared away the desk and table that sat in the middle of the class room, leaving only a blanket in the center. He had spread it down with a picnic basket filled with goodies and there was candle resting direct center of the blanket. And of course, a single red rose, his new favorite symbol. He walked over to it and picked it up to her and offered it to her. "Surprise." he smiled to her.

"Teeedd! I though you said there was no chance of us getting caught," she whispered back, laughing a little and letting him lead her, his fingers wrapped gently around hers. She was a few steps behind him, as she wasn't the best at seeing at night, and he had to guide her a bit. She could hear the hushed chatter of the students down by the lake. Even if they were supposed to be sneaking down to the water's edge, they made more sound than a Muggle chainsaw getting there.

She listened to his spellwork, watching a jet of light fly from his wand and hearing the click of the lock as it popped open. As he turned back to look at her, she smiled at him, her motherly smile. The quarter-moon behind him showed her the silhouette of his head, topped by his shock of turquoise curls. Even in the rather faded moonlight, she could still see its color. After so many years, she'd gotten used to the color, and it didn't even make her look twice anymore. On his face was a rather lopsided grin, which made her laugh just a little. He looked like such a fool whenever he smiled like that. But to her, he was completely and utterly handsome, no matter what expression he had on his face.

She started a little when he made a sudden move, but she relaxed the second afterwards. "Don't you trust me?" she asked laughing. His hand was rough and warm covering her eyes. Worried she was going to trip, she walked quite slowly, but sped up gradually when she felt his hand on her waist. Of course, being the klutz that she was, she stumbled quite a few times, but never fell. Thank God. That would have been embarassing.

She grinned when she saw the arrangement he'd set up. It must have taken him a while. She accepted the red rose before looking at him, her eyes sparkling. "Oh Teddy," she sighed, shaking her head, "You're too good for me."

Teddy smiled and shrugged as she said he was too good for her. "Well maybe, but I wouldn't have anyone besides." he chuckled, wrapping his arm around her waist, planting a soft kiss on her forehead, still having to bend down to reach it. He grinned, he found their height difference quite hilarious. As did most people now of days when they saw them together. It was quite hilarious actually, now that he thought about it. He imagined her pulling up at chair to kiss him.

He released her waist and took a hold of her hands, stepping backwards to the blanket, taking careful steps as his eyes concentrated on her face, as if for some reason she was going to disappear on him. He sat down on the blanket, letting one of her hands free but the other was still in hers, his eyes stuck on her face. "I got as much as I could shove in this thing." he laughed, pointing towards the picnic basket before taking his hand away and pulling out his wand, pointing to the candle, muttering a spell and soon the candle burst into flames.

Teddy's eyes were wide, that wasn't suppose to happen. He quickly stopped the fire and sighed, knowing that covering it in water wasn't the most smartest thing he had ever done. Thank god for transfiguration. He spotted a rock and walked over to retrieve it. In his hand he transformed it into a candlestick, and with a smile on his face he concentrated again, and this time successfully set the candle a flame. He couldn't bare to look at Rosie, his cheeks were already a blaze from a blush and his hair a bright orange, proving he was embarrassed as ever.

"Damned metamorphagus powers." he sighed, finally peeking his eyes over to see her reaction to his disaster.

"That's good then," she answered, laughing, "Cause I wouldn't either." As he bent down to give her a kiss, she stood up on her tip-toes to make it easier for him to reach. After all, their height difference was a minor nuisance to her, which was made even funnier by the comments they got when they were walking down the corridors together. She found it to be just a little worse than Ted did, as she was the one who suffered for it. For Ted, he just had to bend down. But, she'd have to get a chair if she ever wanted to give him a proper kiss without him bending down. Stupid height.

She watched him, her head tilted a little to the side, confused, as he continued to stare at her. "I'm not going anywhere, m'dear," she told him, laughing a little. She found it funny whenever he looked at her like that. It made her feel like a magic man at a circus, whom people stared at so hard as to try and see how he did his tricks. Of course, Ted was a it more gentle in his look than their accusing, searching stares, but never the less, she still felt funny.

"Wow, Ted," she laughed after he'd doused the flames and created a new candle. That'd really cracked her up. It was usually her who did all the clumsy stuff, while Ted was the perfect gentleman and did everything right. He really was too good for her, even if he'd deny it. She laughed at his comment, before walking over and sitting next to him, crossing her legs, indian-style. "Y'know we wouldn't be here without them," she reminded him thoughtfully, thinking back to the night at the ball. Good Lord, that night'd been jam-packed. The first part of it had definitely been her favorite.

He rose his head more as she laughed at him, at least she was laughing, he hate if she was making fun of him or something, but this was more of a playfully laugh, so he knew he didn't screw up quite so much. He shifted closer to her with a lopsided grin. "I'm glad you find my mistakes so amusing." he chortled, opening the basket and pulling out a few desserts till he found his favorite. "Ahh.. Chocolate cheesecake." he grinned, placing it down in front him.

As she mention the ball, his smile became lopsided. "Best thing that this thing has ever brought me." he smiled, his turquoise curls turning a bright pink, a easy sign to say love from him. And frankly, it was brought out more easily these days then before. But it really was the best thing that his hair had brought him, most of the time it just caused trouble, but for the first time in his life it brought him something he had been dreaming for for awhile. Rosie.

"Really, it has though." He said, digging into his cheesecake, knowing she would protest. "You are the firs person to make me feel the way I do now. And personally, the feeling of 'living on top of the world' never gets old for me." he chuckled, a faint blush appearing on his cheeks. He took a bite of the cheese cake, before taking a small bit again. This time the fork tip pointing to Rosie first, offering her some of the cake.

Cheesecake. In how many ways can you say 'love language'? Rosie simply loved cheesecake. Especially the chocolate variety. She'd first had it at her Grandma Rose's house back when she was four. Since then, it'd always reminded her of her grandmother, which, sometimes could make her cry, but at other times, was the best feeling in the world, as she was starting to forget things about her grandmother.

Even, at times, she tried to remember her face and all that came up was a muffled face, topped in a crown of curly, pure white hair. Her grandmother had always been able to make her feel better and Rosie supposed Grandma had passed that responsibility onto the cheesecake once she died. For now, whenever Rosie tasted cheesecake, she felt a million times better than before.

Rosie smiled at him, scrunching her nose up a little. "I wish I was a Metamorphagi," she said wistfully, leaning back on her hands, "I can't count the number of things I'd change." She'd always coveted Ted's ability to change his form at will. After all, what girl wouldn't? You could change your hair and face any time you wanted and it would always look exactly how you wanted it to. Rosie sighed, pushing the thought out of her mind before smiling and accepting the bite of cheesecake.

She chewed thoughtfully for a moment before answering him. "Really? Doesn't it end up feeling like you're on Muggle drugs after a while? Or is that just me?"

As he fed her the piece of cheesecake, he grinned, due to the simple fact that he was feeding her cheesecake. He pulling the fork from her slowly, taking another piece of the cake and popping it in his mouth before answer her statement. "I'm really glad you aren't. Frankly, I love every bit about you." he laughed at his own cheesiness. But it was true, from the simple curls of her hair down to her small little feet, he couldn't imagine her any other way. She could grow a few inches, but besides that, in his eyes, she was perfect.

"And I suppose it like Muggle drugs, not like I've had any before, but I guess I'm just addicted to it now. I like it too much for my own good." he chuckled, taking another bite of cheesecake. He knew that this was addiction much like the ones that people had to drugs. He loved the feeling he got when he was with her, especially when it was just the two of them, and hated when it wasn't there. Funny thing it was, to only realize how much you miss something when it's gone.

As he placed the fork down, he lied down, propping himself up on his elbow so he could look over at her. "So what rating do I get for this little rendez-vous? On a scale to one to ten." he grinned, still surprised at himself for pulling this together. He had not once did this for another girl in his entire life, Rosie was definitely special.

Rosie chewed her piece of cheesecake slowly, savoring the sweetness of the light cake and the wonder of the moment. Had she been told a month back that now, she'd be on the highest tower of the castle, being fed cheesecake by Teddy and talking about love, she wouldn't have believed it. In fact, she probably would have sent whomever told her to Muggle psychiatrist, thinking anyone crazy enough to tell her that had to be mentally ill in some way.

Smiling back at him, she lay down on her back, her hands behind her head, fingers laced. The stars above them were twinkling brightly, and there wasn't a cloud in the sky. She glanced over at Ted, giving him a quick smile when he told her he loved everything about her, before looking back up at the sky. Suddenly, she saw something making its way across the midnight blue expanse of the open night sky. She lifted her hand up, pointing a finger towards it. "Look Ted, a shooting star!"

She looked back at him, her hand dropping to her side before sliding back under her head. "Well, we can cope with addiction together," she answered, laughing a little, "God knows we'll never be able to get rid of it." She knew what he meant. Everytime she left him in the Common Room to head up to bed, she felt quite alone and she wished they didn't have to sleep. Even if that was a crazy idea, then they could spend all their time together. Oh, what a joy that would be.

She looked over at him, her mouth dropping, feigning incredulousness. "You're asking me to rate your affection, Teddy, m'dear?" she asked, a grin spreading over her face. "You honestly think a ten point scale would do you justice?" Had she actually been rating him, it would have been a bajillion points over anything that a ten point scale offered. He was just that perfect.

As she pointed out to the night sky, he did indeed see the star shoot across the sky. He would wish for something, if he could think of something. But his mind was drawing a blank, he was perfectly content with his life right now, he couldn't imagine for anything else. As the star shot out of the sky, he began to move the food away from them, setting the candle over to the side and settling himself into the blanket, copying her pose with a short chuckle. His face turned and looked a Rosie, listening intently to every word that was dragged out of her mouth.

He nodded his head about talked about their addiction. "I find it unbearable at times. Especially after nights in the common room." he grinned lopsided. The common room seemed to bring he much more interest then in did in these past years, the fire was always so cozy to sit by, especially with a special someone like Rosie. He always dreaded going to bed then, but was reminded he would see her in the morning. He was becoming more and more like a lost pup every day.

He couldn't help but laugh at her face as he asked her to, as she said 'rate his affection'. As a grin spread across her face, his hand reached out to her face, tracing her bottom lip with his thumb. "Well, I thought so, but apparently you don't. I bet your rating from the look of your face is a bazillion. You only give those looks when you mean it beats the ten scale by a lot." he laughed, his eyes twinkling, his hair still a bright pink color. It wasn't about to change back to its turquoise color so easily now.

Rosie could only think of one thing to wish for as the sparkling star shot across the midnight sky. That was a new pair of woolly socks. Her current ones had large holes worn into them, making it practically impossible for them to keep her feet warm.

But, other than that, she could think of nothing that would make her happier at the moment. Except that, perhaps, time could freeze in this moment, and her and Teddy would stay this way forever. But that, in itself, was silly wish. Things change, and Rosie suspected that her and Ted would change too, no matter how much she dreaded them splitting apart, she knew it was possible.

Rosie turned her head, grinning at him. "Same here. I can't sleep sometimes." And it was true. At times, she would lie awake for hours, thinking about so many things. The only thing that could get her to sleep on those nights was to imagine that Ted was sitting at the foot of her bed. But she'd never tell him that. It'd probably just creep him out. Which was definitely not a good thing to do at the current stage in their relationship.

She laughed too, feeling a tingling in her lip as he reached out to touch it. Even slight grazes like that caused her to smile nowadays. "You need to give yourself more credit, m'dear," she said, reaching out to ruffle his hair before grinning. "You don't think highly enough of yourself."

Teddy grinned as she admitted to having problems sleeping. "Rosie, the fact that you don't sleep because I'm not there is extremely flattering, but you should really try and get some sleep for once. I can only cover for you in Transfiguration's for so long." he chuckled, sending her his lopsided grin. Some nights, he would admit, he would stay up and think about her, promptly pretending to be asleep when Zane got back from his midnight practices, making him just decide he should really get some sleep. He wouldn't admit it now, he was too afraid that he'd screw this up so early into it.

Ted was not looking forward to the wrath of Ron for going out with Rosie, it would be bad enough just for that. From the stories that Harry told him about the early stages with Hermione, how protective he was, he would hate to see what he thought of him going out with his little girl. The two of them had a close father-daughter bond, he was absolutely positive that there would be a long talk between him and Ron next time he saw them.

As she reached out to ruffle his hair he lifted his face so he could gently kiss her wrist, chuckling as he met her face again. He slowly reached his arm out around her waist, wondering if it was okay to do this, and slowly pulled her into his chest. His arms were lose, in case she felt the need to pull away from him. But he would much rather just stay like they were forever. He wished time would stop, so they could just star gaze and be with one another forever. He felt a bit strange, feeling these things so early into the relationship, but maybe it was just because they have been so close all their lives.

As he looked out the window again, he watched as the stars twinkled in the night sky, constellations forming all over. He looked down at her again, tilting his head slightly. "Did you wish for anything when the star came by?" he asked gently, a hand reaching up to pull a slight curl out of her face.

Rosie shook her head, laughing silently. "I said sometimes, m'dear. And as for Transfiguration? I was crap at that to begin with, what's the use in trying now?" And she was. It was probably her worst subject, as she always had ancient Professor McGonagall breathing down her neck and staring beadily at her over that razor-sharp nose. She'd get nervous and jittery and bungle half the spells she tried, while the other half didn't work at all. Of course, this would get the Professor in a terrible mood, which made her give Rosie extra homework, which she really couldn't do most of time, because of Duros' detentions that she had practically every night. Ahh, the vicious circles that we endure.

Rosie wasn't really looking forward to talking to her dad about Teddy either. Just telling him would probably result in a massive freakout session which would end in a stony silence that she'd have to shake him out of. Sure, she was closer to her dad than Hugo was, but she still wasn't above those silences. And Ronald Weasley could do them better than anyone. Even Rosie's mother. Of course, after the silence, he'd probably ask a million probing questions, as well as have a long, long talk with Teddy, which would last practically a whole day, and leave Rosie's father feeling worse off than when he started. Sometimes she wished that her father was normal.

When his lips brushed against her wrist, she felt that electric tingling again. It was relatively normal now, as the two of them usually had some contact mostly all the time. As he pulled her towards him, she leaned her head on his chest, turning her face again towards the sky. She'd always loved looking at the sky. It was something she did with her mother sometimes, for Hermionie had loved Astronomy the most of her school classes. Well, that and Ancient Runes, which she'd forced Rosie to take through all her years. Naturally, it wasn't exactly forcing, because Rosie had a fondness for Runes, just like her mother. In fact, it was one of the only classes that she didn't need magic in, and that was definitely a good thing.

She thought about his question for a moment before shaking her head. "Nope. I've got everything I want right here," she finally answered, turning to him, a slow smile making its way across her face.

He chuckled, thinking of all the disasters Rosie caused in Transfiguration. "You know, I think I have learned more in the class from fixing your mistakes then actually listen to the Professor. Maybe you can pay me back one of these days." he chuckled, shaking his head slightly. He would always fix her mistakes when McGonagall wasn't looking, but once it was Rosie turn to do it on her own, well he just looked away and shook his head. He'd always get in trouble then, the Professor scolding him, saying she would never learn this way. Heck, he wasn't sure Rosie would ever learn, lucky she was strong at everything besides though. He wouldn't get through half his classes without her.

As she leaned into his embrace, his smile grew warm, his other arm wrapping around her waist. When her cheek hit his chest, he could feel the electricity surging through their touch. He knew the feeling well, but it still made him fidgety, which made him pull her closer to him. His eyes followed hers to the sky, watching the night sky unfold above them. Looking at the sky always reminded him of his parents for a reason, maybe it was something they did when he was still a baby. But he never looked back at it, this thought always brought a smile to his face. He wondered what his father and mother would think of Rosie, would they think he was doing the right thing? Making a wise choice? But what if they were alive, maybe he wouldn't be as close to her as he was now. He shook the thought from his mind, he was perfectly happy with Rosie, and that's how he wanted it to stay.

As she looked up at him, he beamed widely down at her, a soft ting of pink hitting his cheeks. "Rosie, your are too good for me." he sighed shaking his head before moving his lips to her forehead. "Like seriously, how lucky could I get? To get the most wonderful perfect girlfriend ever." he spoke with such sincerity, pulling her up so his head could rest gently on hers.

Rosie rolled her eyes good-naturedly. "There's no point. I'm shit at Transfiguration. And that's one thing that's never going to change. Oh, and you'd better not be waiting for me to pay you back." She was grateful to him for fixing all her mistakes, whenever she happened to need it. Of course, Professor McGonagall always scolded her for letting him, and forced her to redo it herself, even if she just bungled it worse the second time.

In fact, if it hadn't been for Teddy, to help drag her through her years in Transfiguration, she probably wouldn't have recieved passing grades on any of her previous O.W.L.s. Of course, it wasn't like she got an Outstanding on anything. It was always an Acceptable, and rarely, an Exceeds Expectations. Most of the teachers hated her guts, because of course, most of them were being influenced by the Death Eaters. But, there were a few that helped her out a lot. Such as Professor Longbottom and Professor Sinistra. Although, she wasn't sure either of them would be helping her for long. Sinistra was already under speculation with the DE, and Longbottom wouldn't be far behind.

Rosie sighed contentedly as Ted wrapped his arm around her waist, wondering idly whether the two of them were doing the right thing. Though she knew it was practically impossible for them to fall apart now, she also knew that if they did, their friendship would be ruined, as well as the Weasley-Potter family gatherings, which would immediately be injected with awkwardness. Each person would wonder whose side to be on, and eventually the whole lot of them would be so bloody confused that it would just be awful. Her stomach clenched painfully, and she frowned momentarily.

"Oh come off it," she answered, laughing softly, that same electricity charging through her forehead as his lips touched it, "Perfect? Me? If anyone's perfect, it's you, Ted. I mean, honestly, how amazing can one person be?" She also spoke seriously. In Rosie's opinoin, she was one of the most messed up people ever to walk the face of the planet. Teddy, on the other hand, was absolutely perfect. He was kind, good-looking, smart, and completely hilarious at times.

Teddy chuckled at her joke. "You aren't shit at Transfigurations. At least you can change things, that poor kid from Hufflepuff still can't figure out which end of his wand is up, let alone actually use magic. And you can almost get it most of the time, I only have to get rid of the rats tail from the cup now a days." he reminded her, a soft smile on his face. Heck, last time he checked, Transfigurations was her worst subject, while his worst subjects were anything but DADA and Transfigurations. He was hopeless at everything else. He was only lucky to have Rosie there to explain half the stuff to him.

"And no, I'm not waiting for pay back, unless that pay back is something I'd enjoy, then I'll be like any Weasley child at Christmas." he laughed, a wild grin on his face as one eye brow raised. Christmas was about the most busiest holidays of the year, and the Weasley just seemed to make it bigger then ever with their large family. Teddy found that, as the years went on, and he grew older, that most of the time he was getting dragged out of the attic of the Burrow, and pulled all the way down the stairs to the giant Weasley living room, which somehow managed to fit every Weasley member, their family's and Ted. It was no surprise that they were up at seven and weren't done opening gifts until at least twelve, if they were so lucky.

But it wasn't like he was dreading Christmas. On the contrary, he always looked forward to it. The Weasley were such a big family, but they always found a way to include Teddy. He could no longer say he didn't belong to anyone besides his grandmother, oh no, there was always the Weasley's. He would go though and visit Zane sometime during the week of Christmas with his grandmother, giving Zane a break from his rude family. Then they would take Zane with them back to the Burrow for New Years. Their family didn't mind so much anymore, they were sick of their 'misbehaving family member' so they would just give them Zane without any complaints.

He was brought back into the real world as Rosie expressed how perfect he was. He scoffed and shook his head. "Me? Perfect? Are you sure we're talking about the same Ted here? Last time I checked I'm the freak who's hair can change" his hair made a rainbow in his hair before resting at turquoise again, the first time since they entered the tower, "Has the goofiest grin in the world," he once again proved to her who imperfect he was, "not to mention my short temper and wolfish behaviors every full moon. Seriously, if anyone's perfect it's you. As you put it, ' how amazing can one person be?'" he said, his hair turning back to the pink color, and his cheeks flooded red. He wanted to look away, but he couldn't pull his eyes from hers.
