Zane looked up as he notcied Niki and Rowen turn back towards him. They were bickering, well at least that's better than them trying to rip each others throats out... He swept the ash away with a flick on his wrist. It floated high on the slight breeze, bringing a smell of bonfires to the forest. The grey dust lingered for a few seconds, suspended in mid-air, until it vanished into that place where all vanished objects go to where they wait until they are recalled. He saw Rowen start walking towards him before stopping and snarling at Nikita. Zane walked towards them wary that a fight might kick of any second, and that's when Rowen punched Niki. He felt the shock travel through his own jaw, as if he himself had been punched. He flinched with the aftershock before continuing to walk towards Rowen and Niki. "I'd appreciate it if you didn't punch her again, Rowen" he said quietly, rubbing his jaw trying to ease the pain.
Nikita snarled at his first couple responses, her eyes vivid. "Ah, please. Me? A man? I don't think so, Rowen. I'm all woman... you can even ask Xavier. He'll tell you... then beat the shit out of you, considering he is triple the time 'man' than you are, honey. Check it." She smirked, loving the fact that Xavier was now in her life, making her heart feel all warm and fuzzy instead of cold and sharp. Sure, at times it still resembled a black hole... but whatever. That was only when she was with the few that are on her hit list, which put Rowen at the very top next to Victoire and Emmy.
Scoffing, Nikita rolled her eyes at him feverishly. Her mind whirled with frustration and she yearned to murder Mr. Hemingway right then and there. He was such a fassy. I mean seriously... what kind of girl likes that kind of guy? 'Cough, Kianthra, cough,' she thought as if she were really speaking the words. "Half-breed? Wow. Nice word choices douche-bag." Her words were filled with venom and acid, as she hissed out the last words. Her eyes swarmed around the area, hearing Zane's footsteps approach, sounding some-what muffled.
A menacing laugh trailed out of Nikita's mouth as she listened to Rowen's first line of words, blocking out the other ones that followed. "Over your dead body? Okay! Fine by me." She smirked, lifting her wand and preparing to use the killing curse. Just as the word was about to hiss out of her mouth, she got punched hard in the jaw, sending her to the ground. She clutched her jaw, her eyes filled with pure hatred. She jumped up beside Zane, whom had recovered from the blow much quicker than she, herself had.
Zane's words surrounded her, calming her immediately. She raised her eyebrows, half hoping that his words were directed harshly at Rowen partly because he hated Nikita getting hurt. Although she thought the other half of it was because he was also getting hurt in the process of her getting hurt along side him. She knew Zane wasn't that selfish though, so she just thought about what would make her more happy. Finally, she noticed the blood that dripped mockingly from her jaw and mouth. Most of the flowing blood was coming from inside of her mouth, but some was coming from outside of her mouth also.

Rowen rolled his eyes. "You've got such a filthy mouth on you, dear; I'm surprised anyone with veela blood would even allow such a word to be passed through their system." he said mockingly. Oh, how it was fun to watch as Nikita tried to make him feel weak. It wasn't working by any rate; he was physically and emotionally stronger then the girl and he knew it. She just had a terrible superiority complex. Poor thing.
Feeling satasfaction glow within him like a candle as Nikita stumbled, he looked to Zane, horrorstruck. Not knowing what to say, he sighed heavily. "Zane...I'm sorry," he uttered, approaching the Lestrange and offering a frown. "If I would have known about your connection to..." he paused, trying to fid the right word. "Snape," he said curtly, the surname feeling as slimey as a snake as he spoke. "I would never have..." he paused once more, unable to find the words to make an appology.
"She caught me. Waiting for you. I'm royally screwed." he sighed, running a hand through his hair. "I'm about ready to relinquish my poisiotn in the NO if that's what you want. Not to mention I went against your orders about not using the Unforgivables." he said, feeling like a lead weight was in his stomach. Inwardly he hoped Tobie would be safe from Nikita's wrath; in a way, she was in even more danger then himself...she was actually in the DE. And held a powerful position. Wowza.

He looked between Niki and Rowen unsure who to focus on. "It's fine. Nobody knows. You're the only one. Besides myself and Nikita," he nodded to her as he said this. He listened to Rowen's words, not quite believing what he was hearing. "No, that's the last thing you're going to do. You just made a mistake that's all, lost control. It happened to me recently, but I couldn't just give up and turn my back on everything. And you're not going to either. Let's just both agree to exercise a little more control over our tempers, shall we?" He looked back to Niki as he noticed the blood dripping from her mouth and jaw. Tergeo, Episkey he thought as he watched the blood clear from her face.

Rowen sighed, relieved that Zane was being so merciful. He nodded, unable to respond. Watching as Nikita's wounds were healed, he couldn't help but feel slightly annoyed that his leader was tied to this filthy being...but he had to just deal with it. Honestly, if it wouldn't hurt Zane he'd just kill Nikita. The hate he felt towards his Housemate was unique and he never felt so...so angry before. He wasn't sur how he'd be able to live with her for the next year, and the year after.
"Thanks," Rowen said quietly to Zane, before locking eyes with Nikita. He'd never let hre hurt anyone ever again if he could help it. And if she even came near Tobie with malicious intent, he'd kill her. He didn't care if he went to Azkaban, or if he pissed the New Order off, or even if he turned every Slytherin against him. He'd protect his sister with his life. Swallowing, he was going to attempt to comment on the situation but sighed again, unable to come up with anything. He considered cracking a joke, but nothing seemed to fit the situation. It was like mixing coffee and orange juice...just plain wrong.
Smiling at Rowen, the words slid out of her mouth without control, "Ah... you forget, love. I'm not like other prissy veelas. Never have been... never will be. I'm so much different from my dear mother, Hemingway. I mean sure... I may look like her, but no way in hell is my personality like hers, unless I try to act like her."
Nikita laughed menacingly, her eyes darting over towards Zane. She let her smile fall from her face as she watched Rowen practically beg for Zane not to kick him out of the NO. She just rolled her eyes, delighted to see Rowen at such a low level, and herself at such a high one. Nikita felt her face go dry, and turned to smile at Zane in a happy, thankful response. "Why thank-you, Zane. I appreciate that." She laughed, rubbing a hand over her still sore jaw. She turned her attention back over to Rowen, her eyes piercing into his with such intensity it almost hurt her. Slowly, Nikita turned on her heel, speaking over her shoulder, immediately deciding that she was done here.
She had had enough fun for that day, of course the night was a whole new day to her. "Well... I'm out. Thanks for helping with the fire Zane... I mean it would've burned the entire place down thanks to someone..." She paused to give Rowen a sharp look before continuing on with her statements, "Oh... and Rowen..." She paused, giving him an innocent look, "I wont forget to tell Kianthra about this whole incident... especially the part about you betraying everyone..." She smiled evilly but then continued, "She'll be ecstatic, I'm sure."
