God, he had never felt so overwhelemed in his life. His thoughts seemed to go spinning around in his head like a whirlwind of emotions. He was just hiding behind his lies, and trying to avoid something that he felt was approaching. The thought of his secret getting out was an ever-present threat; he was constantly tip-toeing around, trying to be careful not to tip anyone off. It was like a predator that was tracking him, like eyes gleaming in the darkness ahead. He was not eager to adance any further but he knew that there was no turning back now. He was a member of the New Order and in consequence was giong against everyone he loved.
All of his Death Eater friends...were they really what he considered them as? Friends? Or were they ticking time bombs, threatening to go off at any second? He didn't want to tamper with them, yet he longed to delay their explosions for as long as humanly possible. They were only his human shields but he wanted to treat them as more then that (which would probably get him in trouble in the future). He knew who his real allies were; Zane, Ted, Rosie, and any other members of the New Order. However, he still needed to remain friendly with the other Slytherins otherwise his purpose within the NO would become obsolete. He was their most valuable spy; the only one with access into the personal lives of Death Eaters as well as the Slytherin Common Room.
Currently pacing in the Forbidden Forest, Rowen was praying that no one had heard him sneak out of the Common Room at such an ungodly hour. Zane needed to meet with him about the next few pieces of information he needed from Charlotte and as usual the Lestrange boy was a tad late. Being already slightly paranoid about the situation, Rowen was beginning to worry. Not that he was agaisnt breaking the rules...but now that Lottie seemed to have him under a microscope he had to be extra-careful about what he did and how he went about it.
"Christ, Zane, where are you?" he muttered angrily, his hair color darkening considerably. He began fidgeting with his galleon uncomfortably, waiting to see if Zane was going to change the location of their meeting or something. Maybe that was why he was so late. The gold of the coin glittered slightly because of the white shafts of moonlight that filtered through the tree branches. The leaves under his feet pacing feet crunched, breaking the serene quiet of the night.
