[Zane Lestrange]

Oh the joys of detention with Duros. Surely there were better ways to spend your free time? It's not as if they were even doing anything useful like helping Hagrid. No. Duros had got them to write lines. What a waste of time. Apparently, Zane was a disruptive member of the class, well that was Duros' reason for putting him in Detention this time. But of course, Zane knew he would be here for twice as long as any of the Slytherins sent here by other teachers. Zane and Duros weren't exactly on the best of terms. Well, Duros being under the thumb of the DE didn't help much. Duros was the kind of teacher who enjoyed shouting at Zane and Teddy. A person who didn't feel they had had a good day until they had shouted "LESTRANGE!" or "LUPIN!" across the classroom, corridor or during quiet study in the Great Hall.

In this particular detention, Duros had his nose in a book and wasn't paying much attention to the goingson in the classroom. Zane sat down at one of the desks which resulted in a "You're late Lestrange" from the direction of Duros' desk. There was no point in even replying, he couldn't afford to sacrifice his position as Quidditch Captain. There were more Slytherins than Gryffindors, mainly due to the fact that Professor Longbottom had put most of the seventh year Slytherins in detention after setting fire to one of the greenhouses and destroying the entire stock of mandrakes. Under normal circumstances, detention would only be populated with Gryffindors and a scattering of Hufflepuffs, rarely any Ravenclaws and no Slytherins in site.

Zane picked up the quill lying on the desk and began to write:

He had only written it three times and already Zane was bored out of his skull. Hopefully something eventful would happen today, something usually did.

[Lily Potter]

There is a first for everything. Never in her four years at Hogwarts had Lily Potter been to detention. She had been good, kept quite when she had to. A very good girl. The one time she had happened to be helping a fellow Gryffindor during, you guessed it, Potions, Duros had heard her. "POTTER! DETENTION!" he had yelled, causing the Slytherins to snicker.
She walked in quietly. Duros hadn't seemed to notice her as he had Zane. She sad down quickly next to her friend. "Hello." she whispered as she grabbed a quill from her book bag. She turned to her parchment and began to write.

Slightly irritated, she laid the quill down and rubbed her temples in a curricular motion. 'I don't know how Ted and Zane do this.' she thought.

[Victoire Weasley]

Cursing inside of her head, Victoire walked silently into Classroom Eleven. She could see Zane and a girl from NO. She sighed. She had been coming back from a strangely civil conversation with Rosie down at the lake, which just happened to be at the same time as Charms, when Duros had seen her sneaking back during class time, and instead of believing her and her semi-convincing story about how her teacher had sent her off to gather some ingredient down by the lake, she had been given Detention. Amazing. No surprise there.
She sighed as Duros gave her a nasty look and she sat down, sulkingly copying down the words she assumed she'd have to.

"I will not be caught skipping class" She whispered inaudibly to herself as she copied down the endless sentences.

[Teddy Lupin]

Teddy was already in class, scribbling over his piece of parchment. Who knew you could get detention by blowing stuff up? He thought that wasn't a punishment, that it was really a cry for help from a student who didn't have a clue what to do in potions. Any normal teacher would help him try to understand what he was doing wrong, not Duros though, oh no.

Okay, so Teddy blew things up.. a lot. It was his way of getting out of class. He always forgot those Weasley's candies that Rosie had got from her uncles, and she usually didn't have any extra with her. So he'd always add a few things together, wave his wand and bam, explosion. He was getting better at explosion making then actually potion making. Why was he that class anyways? He wasn't sure, probably because Rosie and Zane were in it. He smiled as he thought about the three of them and then he heard Duros speak.

He turned around quickly, seeing Zane taking a spot. He quickly grabbed a new piece of parchment and wrote:

What did you do this time? I blew up stuff again.
To me, a cry for help. Duros, he see's right threw me.

Ted.

He quickly turning it into a small plane and when he was sure Duros wasn't looking, sent it over to Zane.

[Rosie Lupin]

She didn't even bother with the lines anymore. What was the use? It wasn't as though Duros even looked at them. As long as you were writing something, he let you by. So, instead of writing lines, Rosie was busy finishing up her Charms essay for tomorrow. Which was what she'd gotten a detention for in the first place. Anyways, the lines Duros had assigned her was too long to write on one line of a piece of parchment.

I will not ignore my duties of being a good student by doing the work that other teachers assign my during valuable time in Potions class, when I could be using the time wisely to learn the wonderful art of Potions, which my lovely teacher, Professor Duros has so kindly agreed to teach to annoying, disrespectful seventh year students like myself when he has much better things to do, like sitting on a boat in the middle of the ocean, or sawing his own head off with a butter knife; anything to get away from those seventh years.

She'd tried extra hard not to crack up when he'd assigned her the lines. Of course, that'd been really hard, and she'd cracked. So he'd assigned her another set of lines. Wonderful.

I will not laugh disrespectfully at my lovely Professor Duros, even if he assigns me the longest, stupidest line in the world, because he is great and brilliant and excellent and handsome and kind and just a glorious person all around.

Oh, he was glorious alright.

He smiled at Lily in greeting before looking around to see who else Duros had hand-picked for detention today. Lily, Victoire, Rosie and of course Teddy. Zane couldn't remember a time where he had been in detention and Teddy wasn't. He saw the paper aeroplane land silently on his desk. Trying to unfold it without making any noise, was nearly impossible, but somehow Zane managed it. So Teddy had blown something up again? No surprise there. He picked up the quill and wrote:

Well you do tend to cause explosions quite a lot. Maybe you need some more methods of escaping lessons? Me? I'm not entirely sure. Something to do with the fact that he has to shout my name across the classroom too much, which disturbs the other students. I just think he wanted a reason to put me in detention, as if he doesn't have anything better to do.

Zane

He folded the parchment back into a paper aeroplane. Before floating it across to Teddy, Zane looked up. Sure enough, Duros was glaring at him and seemed to be muttering curses under his breath. When Duros returned to his book, Zane flew the paper aeroplane back to Teddy. He waved to Victoire and Rosie before returning to the lines set.

[Charlotte Riddle]

Charlotte sighed as she sat down next to Duros, no, she wasn't technically in detention, but she was put there by Longbottom. He didn't think putting a jelly-finger curse on the little 2nd years while they were potting mandrakes was very funny. Of course the rest of the Slytherins thought it was hilarious. Still, it's not like she really had detention. Duros just let her sit next to him and help him with some papers and things. She was re-writing a stained paper about the correct cleaning methods of cauldron cleaning. It was still very boring work for her.

She looked over at the students in classroom 11, All Gryffindors. She watched as Lupin and Lestrange began passing notes to each other and smirked. She picked up her wand and mumbled a spell causing the note to burn up on the floor next to Teddy's feet. "No passing notes in detention," she sang at them. Duros looked up and gave the two a glare, Looks like you two get another half hour for that," he simply nodded to Charlotte as if thanking her for stopping them from misbehaving.

She laughed, and gave the two of them a self satisfying grin when Duros returned back to his papers. This was going to be fun.

[Victoire Weasley]

Victoire looked up with a snap as a piece of paper caught fire by Teddy. She glared, knowing exactly who to blame. Crenge, of course. She hissed involuntarily, and clutched her wand under her desk in frustration. Figures, little miss Charlotte just happens to get detention while also did most of the NO.

She copied over and over again, trying to clear her mind. Of course, no one would notice if she just happened to send a Furnunculus Curse her way. A few boils on the Death Eater's face would be an improvment in Vikki's eyes.
Or, you know, a Tarantallegra Spell. She chuckled, quietly, imagining Charlotte dancing, randomly, under the influence fo the spell.

[Teddy Lupin]

As Charlotte burned the note that was heading back to Ted, he glared at her, knowing that Duros was sure to notice. Of course he did. He let out a small groan as he assigned Zane and himself to half an hour extra, which earn him a few new lines.

Not as long as Rosie's, but still, it filled the entire line. He looked over at her and frowned slightly, they were going to work on Charms together once this was done. The reason why she got this dentention in the first place. She was only in Potions because Zane and him were in it. Heck, it was why all of them were in it. Plus the fact that Ted wanted to become and Auror. He stiffled another groan and leaned back in his chair, looking around the room. He looked at the Slytherins and knew that Neville, Proffesor Longbottom, had put them there due to the fact that they set the Greenhouse of fire. He shook his head slightly and returned to his lines, his hand beginning to cramp from all the writing.

[Kianthra Lestrange]

Kianthra entered the classroom and stepped between the rows of Gryffindors until she found an empty desk. She smiled at Charlotte before sitting down and taking her quill out from her bag. A sheet of frsh parchment lay on the desk in front of her, trust Longbottom to give her lines. Well, at least it was only fifty. Yes ok, maybe she did deserve to be there, after setting fire to Herbology Greenhouse Three, but still it had been worth it. Her fellow Slytherins involved with the crime were already seated and scribbling down the lines they had been given. She smiled as she heard her brother earn an extra half an hour of detention. Ok maybe this isn't going to be as bad as I thought...

She picked up the green quill and dipped it in the pot of violet ink, her favourite. Lines were so dull. Anyway, why did Longbottom even dare to give her detention? Surely he knew she was her mother's daughter? Just as deadly and talented with the Cruciatus Curse. Longbottom was the only teacher in the school who sympathised with the NO, all the others were united behind the DE.

Oh god. Kianthra was everywhere. First the stairs, now detention? The detention part was shocking enough, though. It must have been Prof. Longbottom.
God bless that man She thought to herself. He was far more brave than any she had met before. Threating and giving a Death Eater detention. She frowned and began writing a note to Rosie.

"How did you get here? Duros get you after the lake? Anyway, did you notice who's arrived? She's baack..."

She folded the note, until it was no bigger than an eighth of it's size, and sealed it, from anyone else's eyes but her own and any of her house. Her father had taught it to her, but God know's how often her used it, the nerd he was.
Mom probably taught it to him This seemed like a logical explanatition. Mom wasn't the goody-goody everyone thought she was.
Using another spell taught from Uncle George, she instantly teleported the note to Rosie's desk, praying the annoying popping sound wouldn't occur.
It didn't luckily.

[Rosie Lupin]

Rosie'd been drifting off into a rather interesting sleep, filled with strange dreams surrounding purple pineapples and dancing old men wearing parkas and sunhats. Very, VERY strange, to anyone who wasn't Rosie, who often had the most interesting dreams of anyone she knew. Her mother said it was her imagination. Rosie thought it was simply her inability to be entertained by anything less than extraordinary. Even her dreams had to entertain her, or they weren't worth dreaming.

However, a movement on her desk aroused her from her sleep. There was a small piece of paper there, and Rosie opened it, careful not to let anyone see what she was doing. She read the note, smiling as she did, hearing Victoire's voice saying it in her head. She picked up her quill and scratched a note back to her cousin:

Nope. I got outta that one.
Unfortunately, he caught me doing Charms homework in class.
Crotchety old man.
And honestly, how'd she get in detention?
Duros loves her. If I didn't know better, I'd think they were sleeping together.

She sealed the note up and teleported it back before turning to finish her lines.

Lily sighed, her hand had began to cramp after the hundredth 'I shall not talk in class.' She stretched her hand, finishing off the last tie in record time. She looked around the room, her eyes finding Rosie. Well, seems we all get detention. She held in her urge to laugh, mostly in fear of more lines. Oh how she hated lines. She looked away from her cousin, spotting her second favorite cousin, Vikki Weasley and her 'brother', Teddy Lupin. She grinned at him.
Ok, so maybe it wasn't her first time in the reached room. She spent alot of time in here. Mostly due to her spunky attitude. Avero and Duros didn't seem to enjoy having her in class. She winked at Teddy. "Blowing stuff up again, Tedders?" she mouthed, looking at Charlotte as she finished. Good. She hadn't seen the silent conversation between the two Gryffindors. She looked back at Ted, forgetting about Vikki.
