Tess' body formed perfectly around Brendon's, as she wrapped her arms around him gently. She sighed heavily, burying her face deep in his chest. Her words sounded muffled, but she knew that Brendon could understand her clearly. "Well good. It hurts too much to have yet another broken heart on top of many, many other broken hearts. It hurts Brendon. I hope I've never broken your heart, love. Have I?" At that final ending question, Tess looked up into Brendon's eyes holding the gaze for what seemed to be an entire decade. her heart pounded hard in her throat, but even harder under her chest. Her breathing was calm although, her mind swirling around random thoughts mainly about Brendon. "Don't worry. I love you too... way too much, it even puts me in danger's path."

Brendon held her tightly never wanting to let her go. He kissed her neck slowly feeling happier than he had since the last time they were both here. He shook his head after hearing the question "You have never broken my heart. Never love." he said stroking her hair lovingly. He stared into her gorgeous emerald eyes soaking up all the love and adoration they had in them for him and smiled. He looked surprised as she talked about danger "Baby, what danger are you talking about. As long as there is oxygen in me I will fight to keep you safe." he declared kissing her tenderly "I love you too much to lose you again." he whispered into her neck.
Tess smiled up at Brendon, her heart beating rapidly. "Well good. let's keep it that way, shall we?" She laughed, but then continued on speaking her thoughts. "I'm talking about if anything ever happens... again... then it will tear at my heart more than anything else ever has before. Although, I do know that nothing will happen to me. No one else will hurt me." Her voice was tender, and warm, but her eyes showed unbroken fear, that seemed to tear at her inner conscious. She hated her conscious. Always telling her what to do, and how to do it. It was so freaking annoying, that's what it was. She didn't want to do what it said, but just as soon she would be doing what it said.
A question seemed to be pulling at Tess, but she didn't want to ask it. She didn't even know why the question had popped in her head. She sighed deeply, and mainly to herself, feeling dread wash over as the question repeated itself in her mind. She tried to ignore it, to think of anything else, even if it consisted of something that would kill her to think about. But, seriously... why? Why did her gut tell her to ask the question that seemed innevitable in her mind? She didn't want to ask him, but yet her mouth moved with the words hanging on every edge of her breath, "Brendon... what would you do if I died? But, I don't mean like when I'm older... I mean right now."

Brendon smiled down at her feeling her heart beat rapidly. He leaned down to kiss her tenderly after hearing her first words "Nothing will happen babe, nothing." he whispered kissing her jawbone then returning to her lips. He saw the fear in her eyes and felt a pang of guilt knowing that he caused this. He put his arms around her and hugged her soothingly. As he heard the other question his eyes went wide. He looked at her feeling tears coming into his eyes even though they were talking hypothetically. "I wouldn't want to live without you. Honestly there would be no reason to." he said. He knew that maybe if she had been killed he might kill the murderer and then try to die. He pushed that out of his mind and held her "Baby don't talk about that stuff not even hypothetically."
Tess moved out of Brendon's arms, towards the wall closest to the wall. She sighed, leaning her back against the wall once more, while waiting patiently for Brendon to move towards her. She grunted at his last statement, feeling different than he did. They had to talk about this. She just had that feeling in the pit of her stomach. "We have to talk about that Brendon. What if something does happen to me? Or you?" At that final word, it sent her to her knees. She couldn't think about Brendon dying. it was just too much for her to handle. She sat on the ground holding her shaky knees. "I wouldn't want to live without you either... but the real question is... would you love without me, Brendon?" The question sent her heart flying with fear, and she looked down at her shoes.

Brendon frowned as she left his arms. He watched her move to the wall and lean her back against it. He walked forwards confused by this, but wrapped his arms around her all the same. He listened to what she said "If something happened to you I wouldn't be able to carry on. If you died it would be the end of all I fight for." he said truthfully. "Nothing's gonna happen though baby." he added soothingly. He felt her fall to her knees and dropped to his beside her holding her protectivly and comfortingly. He felt his chest constrict as he tried to imagine a world without her "I couldn't live without you, I would refuse to." he said feeling slightly annoyed that she was saying these things. He considered the last questions and then shook his head "No I wouldn't. You and mom are the only two things that are keeping me sane, if I lose either one of you I will go mad."
