The frigid air was what was keeping all students inside. Snow had been falling nonstop for the past three days, and had brought freezing temperatures along for the ride. Most were still snuggled in their beds since it was a cold weekend morning. Breakfast would soon be starting for those who were insane enough to be awake this early, but would go on for quite a while. The corridors were still dim, no one really awake yet, but that wasn't stopping the girl who was walking through the halls, her pajamas still on. She hadn't been ready to get out of her comfy bed, but it was just too quite in the room she shared with a few of her friends. They seemed to be able to sleep through the ruckus going on from somewhere below. It turned out that a few first year girls wanted to have a pillow fight. Not cool. At all.
A dark gray sweat shirt and long, green and pink p.j bottoms kept the girl semi warm as she entered the room. She hadn't done anything to herself seeing as it was around six and no one in their right mind would be in the library at this time. She simply wanted to walk the rows and rows of books to get things off her mind. She was one of the select few that Madame Pince didn't yell at on a constant basis and she often let her wander around the room as long as she stayed quite. It wasn't something she did often, but it helped to shed her worries and fears for a limited amount of time.
She stepped into the first row, her eyes on the books that occupied the left side of the row. Her striking eyes scanned over the books, noticing a few she'd read in the previous years. She stuffed her hands in the pocket on the front of her sweat shirt, fiddling with her wand. She kept her wand with her at all times now, too scared of running into a DE without it. She'd only done that once, and it was one of the younger ones, so she got away easily. After that, she never exited the room she slept in without it. Even in the Common Room, she kept it hidden somewhere on her body, scared of seeing the scary Noah Dale.
Her feet had brought her to the last book case before she looked at the time. She gasped softly as she noticed she'd been walking around for a tad bit over an hour. She walked a short distance to a round table, letting her tired body slump down into one of its wooden chairs. She let her forehead rest on the tabletop as she wrapped her arms around it. She sighed loudly, not quite ready to leave the book filled room. It was comforting to be in there, feeling like there were no worries in the world. She never felt like she wanted to leave the comfort of the books and reenter the doom filled world where DE attacked the NO ever waking second. It was something she had to do, but not right then...
