There are times, as everyone knows, that you have to just let things go. This, was not one of those times. Getting beat up was NOT one of Lily Potter's favorite things. Yes, it happened more than you'd expect. Madame Pomfrey knew her quite well by now. She mostly came in for minor Quidditch injuries and the occasional broken bone from fighting. But, today of all days, she had gotten in a big fight. A fight with none other than Corliss Malfoy.
It hadn't been her fault. Not at all. Just taking a quick break from studying for three hours straight. Lily hadn't expected a thing. It seemed like the normal routine visit to the bathroom. Oh, but was mistaken. From no where, the stupid Malfoy girl had popped out and confronted her. About Bishop of all things! Lily tried to be nice, saying she was sorry and all, but no. Corliss was pissed. So, instead of letting it go, Corliss had stunned her, thrown her against a wall and set her leg on fire. Good going, Corliss.
So, that is exactly how Miss Lily Potter found herself in the Hospital Wing, head wrapped in a white gauze type material, her leg, which had third degree burns all over it, being healed, and her ankle, which had turned out to be broken not sprained like she thought, fixed and ready to go. Sighing, Lily looked around, only a few other students were there, two Hufflers and a Ravenclaw. They had it easy. Their tummies hurt, they had a head ache, they got a paper cut. Damn them!
Looking around, it seemed that everyone was looking at the battered up Lily. She knew she was bruised up and looked terrible, but that didn't give them the right to stare. She would get that bitch of a girl back. When she thought about it, Lily wondered if Corliss was pleased with her handy work. She shrugged the thought away, not wanting to think about the encounter anymore.
Of course, she had to stay overnight so Madame Pomfrey could keep a close eye on her slowly healing cranium. She wondered if anyone was aware that she was in this... This.. This hell hole. Probably not. News did travel fast, but was it that fast? Knowing Malfoy, she was going to brag about it for a long time. Well, at least until Lily got her hands on her again. Then she would pay. Pay more than needed.
