S.O.R.R.Y seems to be the hardest word {Jam}

James scowled thinking back to Heather. "I shouldn't have asked her. I should have kept it quiet. How could I be so stupid. what was I thinking!" he said mostly to himself angry that he had gotten her in danger and he could have stopped it. He looked round at Zane and said "Yeah I'll tell her. And I'll be more protective. Then they can't get at her." "at least I hope they can't" he added in his head not knowing what he would do if she got hurt at all.

[Zane Lestrange]

"James, relax!" Zane said quietly, managing to resist the urge to chuck a cushion at his friend's head in the hope that it might knock some sense into him. "It will be fine, like I said before. Worrying isn't helping..." Ok so he has a right to be worried, but still, it's not as if we're going to leave Lilah unprotected. Except, there aren't any New Order members who are in Hufflepuff, Noah could easily...ok let's not think about that and just concentrate on daylight hours... Zane paused for a second before continuing, "Look on the bright side Jam, they've got to get through all of us before they reach Lilah, and that will be no easy task."

James took a deep breath and tried to stop panicking. He smiled and smirked at himself "You're right, as usual." he laughed and said "Well I won't leave her from now on." He nodded at what Zane had said about the NO "Thanks mate." he said smiling. He suddenly remembered a little flaw in this plan "Wait there are no NO memebers in Hufflepuf. How is she going to be protected. What about Dale?" he said starting to freak again.

Zane just smiled, checking on the whereabouts of Madam Pomfrey before turning his attention back to James. He sighed as James mentioned what he had just been thinking about a few seconds earlier. "I know, but there hopefully will be soon," he said, thinking about Zoey joining the New Order. He really didn't want to mention Zoey's name, seeing as though Zoey was a touchy subject for James at the moment. "There's no need to worry about Dale, we'll think of something."

James smiled "Sorry I'm freaking out in front of you." he said. "I'm just worried about her." He looked round at the other people in the hospital wing. He noticed the avoidence of Zoey's name "You can say her name, I don't mind. I know she's with Noah and I don't care." he said in a flat voice.

[Zane Lestrange]

"No it's not that..." Zane said quietly before changing the subject away from Zoey Abercrombie. "So um Qudditch? What's going to happen when we play Hufflepuff? I hope you won't go easy on Lilah just because she's your girlfriend..." he laughed as he said this, knowing full well that James would do just that.

James saw the quick change of subject and scowled. He laughed as he mentioned the game against Hufflepuff. "Er... I'll try not to go easy on her." he smiled sheepishly as he knew that Zane wouldn't buy it at all.

[Zane Lestrange]

"Hmm," Zane said, "well if you do, you're off the pitch and Mullins can come on instead." He laughing knowing that James would hate to be replaced by a third year. James and Jake Mullins hadn't exactly got off to the best of starts at the Quidditch try-outs at the beginning of the year. Jake had taken James out making them both crash into one of the goal posts. It was safe to say that James had avoided the third year ever since. Of course it was an empty threat, Mullins was no way near as good as James, but Zane hoped that it would make James play well.

James scowled as he heard this "You wouldn't." he said half angry half amused. He knew (or hoped) that that was an empty threat. "You would never pick Mullins, the guys an idiot." he knew that he shouldn't say stuff like this to the captin but Zane was also his best mate as well as the captin so he didn't feel as bad about saying it.

Zane just simply raised an eyebrow as if to say, oh wouldn't I? "I wouldn't be so sure about that James, after all I am your crazy-crumpet-loving Quidditch Captain who just so happens to have the power to put anyone on the team and chuck anyone off it," at the end of the mini rant, Zane just laughed, mind you what else could you do in this situation? "Mullins tries hard," Zane began to say before he was forced to stop. That was about all that Mullins had in the realms of Quiidtch ability. You couldn't doubt that the kid was enthusiastic, he had enthusiasm by the bucket but that was about it. No hand eye co-ordination or anything of the other things on the checklist.

James smirked. He knew that his crazy crumpet-loving quidditch captian would never kick him out and replace him with Mullins. He laughed "Enthsiasm is the only thing he has." He said. He saw the eyebrow and smirked winking.

[Zane Lestrange]

"Yes I admit it, but maybe with some extra coaching with one of our Chasers might help him to improve," he laughed again as he said this. Just thinking about James giving private coaching to Mullins was enough to make anyone laugh, even if they did have a broken leg. "So tempting," he said quietly wondering whether he would dare to make James tutor Mullins. "No, not today, I'm feeling kind," he smiled again, knowing full well that Charlotte or Logan would of, but Lilah of course, would not.

James scowled when Zane mentioned private coaching with Mullins. "You wouldn't dare." he said half angry half laughing at the fact that if Zane left them alone together they would have killed each other by the time that he returned.

He sighed with relief when Zane relented and smiled "Thanks man." he said glad of that. "I'll try not to let it affect me. Maybe we should break up the night before and get back together after." he smirked at his own idea "nope actually that is a stupid idea."

"As if you'd do that James..." he said quietly, trying not to go into hysterics again. It was way too painful and last time he hadn't been able to stop for 10 minutes, very embarassing. Not as embarassing as some things though. Like the time he was looking over his shoulder shouting directions to another player when he flew straight into one of the spectator stands. They still hadn't forgotten about that and every so often there would be a subtle mention of it which usually ended up with the whole team in fits of laughter. Of course that hadn't been the only time Zane had been a course of great amusement for the team. The other time he had been taken out by some first years on their first ever flying lesson, bad memories.

James smirked remembering the times that Zane had been embarrassed on the pitch. He actually started laughing when he remembered him being taken out by the first years. "You have to stop being so clumsy, people will stop taking you seriously." he said laughing slightly. "And in our match against Slytherin, try to fly in the right direction this time." he smirked knowing that he was in for a punch in a minute from his captian, but he didn't care. Remembering this stuff was priceless.
