Logan sat, hunched over a book, on the blue couch in the Ravenclaw common room. His broom was laid carelessly on the floor infront of him, for he had just come from Quidditch Practice. There was a Charm's test tomorrow and he wasn't about to flunk it. His eyes traced quickly over the words, trying to take in as much as possible, understand as best as he could. But, of course, Logan's attention span was only so long, and he flung the book down, with a loud thump. He groaned, as he leaned back, throwing his feet up on the table infront of him, and putting his arms behind his head. Practice was good, but he felt they weren't as in synch as they coud be. Lysander was a good Keeper, but his hits were a little sloppy, and he felt as a Seeker he need to go faster. Their next match was against Hufflepuff, and he knew that with Louis and Lilah, that they would have a hard time beating them. He pulled a piece of paper out of his pocket, and began scribbling down positions, tryign to figure out what would be best. More practice. Maybe longer practices would help, but Logan knew that that may just exhaust his team, and they really couldn't be exhausted if they wanted to win this year's cup. The thought of the cup distracted him, and he smiled, thinking of his name written across it. Captain- Logan Kings, Seeker- Logan Kings It was any Quidditch players dream, a dream usually only obtained by the horribly serious.
Craig walked into the common room from the showers. His hair was still wet and his muscles ached from today's hard quiditch practice. Craig noticed Logan on the couch scrippling on a piece of parchment. He flung himself on the other end of the couch and leaned back, letting out a long sigh. "Practice was good today. I feel like we have a chance this year." Craig glanced at the parchment and laughed. "Come on Logan we are fine just the way we are. Them Hufflepuffers got nothing on us."
Logan blinked, clearing away his dreams, and fantasies, and looked up. "Hey Craig" He muttered, "I'm just...being an insane captain, is all. The Gryffindors have won the cup the past five years in a row. Plus, Louis is an amazing seeker. I'm worried he might be able to beat me. So, you better rack up those points. Not that you won't, but...just saying." He returned to scratching down tactics, and began speaking again. "I need to practice with Sander, again. He's hitting the ball, but it's not going very far I'm concerned that the team might score on him. Ugh." Had he known he was going to spazz this much, he never would have taken the position. He turned, and noticed a wet spot where Craig's hair was dripping onto the couch. "You had better not catch a cold." He commented, eyeing his chaser with a mixture of concern, and nerves.
"Next time we get some free time I'll take Sander out and get some shooting practice on him. Teach him what is going through the chasers head so that he can predict what they are going to do before they know they are going to do it." Something came to Craig's head out of no where. He held up a finger and ran up to the dorm. He returned quikly holding two small stubs in his hand. He handed one to Logan and read the other one out loud. "USA National Team vs. English National Team, December 20. Wanna go? My dad is taking me this holiday..."
"Okay, thanks. Make sure you tell him to hit it straight." He closed his eyes, trying to think of a perfect attack. Maybe have all the chasers aim at all three goals at once... His eyes flashed opened when he heard Craig racing away. "That was... He was back again before Logan could finish his sentence, and held out a ticket stub for Logan to take and read. "USA Nation tickets? No way! How'd you get these?" After the explantation, Logan blinked, surprised. "You're asking me?I'd love to go, but...me?" "Ya, man, I'll go"
"Who else am I gonna ask dude." Craig poscketed his ticket and pulled out his wand pointing it at his hair. Twirling the wand around it instantly dried and went to his normal hairdo. "Besides I thought you could learn some new things from Tommy Smith. Best Seeker in the world no doubt.
"Tommy Smith is amazing. Better even than the Hungarian's Viktor Krum used to be!Thanks, dude! Of course, that Chaser Mary Jacoby is pretty good, you might wanna see if you can try her moves." He returned to his paper, though, after handing back the ticket, with a "You might wanna keep ahold of that. I'll loose it" "Okay, if we can beat the Puffers, than we need a tactic to beat the Gryffies. Zane is quite the Seeker, and their team is amazing. Any ideas?"
"Hmmmm...well I would say just keep the beaters focused on him the whole time. No need for them to target the Chasers, we can play good enough defense on em. Make him dodge Bludgers so much that he cant find the Snitch." Craig pulled out a bag of an American wizarding chocolate and began eating them. "That's about all I got. So what'cha got cooking up in your little head."
