Today had seemed like such a long day. First there was potions with Duros, where he confused his ingredients and had to be put with the Slytherins, to 'show him what to do and to make sure he did it properly', as Duros had said, meaning he spent the entire class making sure Kianthra, Charlotte, and whoever else was there wouldn't ruin his potion, and tell Duros that he wouldn't listen to them, and that's what cause the explosion. Frankly, he could barely believe he used to be friends with Charlotte. But then again, a lot changes in seven years, you could ask anybody about that.
He then had Mythical Creatures class where the professor enjoyed pointing him out because of his heritage. Yes he was half werewolf, but just because there was a full moon didn't mean he was going off into the Forbidden Forest and transform, not returning for a few days. No, he would just PMS like any other teenage girl. Yes, he may be male, but it was not uncommon for him and his friends to call this 'time of the month' his 'PMSing week'. In his high moods, which he liked to call them, sure he could take the teasing, and laughs and everything else. But days like today made him more moody, more pestered by the easiest things. There was just one thing that kept him sane. His wonderful girlfriend of 59 days, seventeen hours and twenty two minutes. Not that he was counting or anything.
But yes, Rosie Weasley did just the trick on him. She always knew what to say to calm him down, rub his arm, take his hand, run her small, delicate fingers through his hair... he found himself doing it an immediately stopped himself, sure his grin was giving him away. And that, just thinking of her relaxed him. This was their last class of the day so he knew his preparations for this weekend would be out of the question. He was planning a romantic night to themselves, perhaps much like their first night out together up in the Astronomy Tower. Where ever it was, he knew exactly what he had to tell her. In his many drunken states (fire whiskey in the boys dorm or high off the full moon) he had said he loved her, and of course he called her love, but he had yet to tell her, in a completely sober state, how much she meant to him. On Saturday night, the night of their two month anniversary, he would tell her those three little words he was sure any girl would want to hear. She might not understand it's importance there, since he put it around so freely before, but it was high time he told her. Hopefully she would pick out it's importance.
He was leaning against the wall, waiting for her to show up for Charms. Well, there was another reason he was waiting for her. About two months ago, something happened, right before Ted had asked Rosie out, between her and Professor Billings. He never got the answer out of her, but she would always stay close to Ted when he was around, never answered any more questions unless asked (which was often, but she always kept her answers short as possible) and never gave him direct eye contact. He wanted to know what was wrong of course, she she would never tell him. But he had an assumption.
Professor Billings was in love with her. And that wouldn't do for Theodore Lupin.
His assumptions began after Billings found the two of them in a broom closet between classes (they hadn't see each other in four hours, it was traumatic for them). He was chuckling at first asking who was there but once he cast Lumos and saw both Teddy and Rosie he freaked out. He remembered it quite clearly.
"WHAT ARE YOU TWO DOING OUT OF CLASS?" Professor Billings shrieked at the two of them. Rosie was looking down at her feet, afraid to lift her head while Ted looked confused. He thought Professor Billings was a pretty chilled guy. "Sorry sir, we just ran in each other before our other classes and got a little carried away." Ted tried to explain.
"A LITTLE? THAT'S AND UNDERSTATEMENT!" Billings laughed, still fuming.
"Well sir, I'm sure you've seen couples before--" Ted tried to explain but got cut off.
"COUPLE?! THIS BLOKE IS YOUR BOYFRIEND?!" Billings Shriek and Rosie winced, now hugging her body. Ted felt his hair change to a bright red color and looked at his Professor. "We'll be on our way sir. Won't happen again." he told him before wrapping his arm around Rosie's shoulder and leading her to the Common Room. He was sure Newton would understand.
Surprisingly, Billings had let the two of them off, but began watching them like a hawk. When they tried to sneak out of the Common Room, he seemed to be there, stopping them and deducting points away from them. He didn't understand really at first, but he was starting to put to and two together. All he cared about now was Rosie's safety. They only had one more year left with him, he was sure they would managed. Besides, Ted needed the credit of seventh year Charms if he wanted to be an Auror, as did Rosie to become a Healer. He watched as students filled into the class, closing his eyes and waiting for a certain girlfriend to show up to get this class done with.
ooc; Wow, that was a lot more then expected. Sorry for the lenght, I had some time.
