Confused would be the most apt word to describe Louis' emotional state as Lexi answered his question. They had both been thinking pretty much the same thing apparently, and yet she was sure that he was just going to go off and hook up with some other girl as soon as he left her. That wasn't Louis, that wasn't him at all. And he felt the slight sting as she spoke about it as if it were inevitable.
when she jumped up and ran over to her clothes he was stunned into silence. Not sure what had just happened. Everything had been so good just minutes before. And then he'd told her the truth and now things were shattered, apparently their moment was gone. He couldn't help but feel the burden of blame settle heavily on his shoulders, he'd screwed this up, he wasn't sure quite how but he knew it was his fault.
Then in an instant he was at her side. "Lexi... I don't understand what just....what happened?" His confusion clear in his voice and in his face. "I don't want to 'go hook up with some random chick'." And it was the truth, Louis wasn't one for random hook ups, this obviously being the exception to prove the rule.

The wind picked up suddenly, blowing Lexi's hair behind her, and making her attempt to shove her shirt over her head very hard. She turned to look at Louis, her brows furrowed once more. She rolled her eyes slightly, crossing her arms over her chest before finally responding to the boy who was obviously totally confused in front of her. "What do you mean what just happened? You were here weren't you? Or were you just another typical guy who doesn't listen?" She asked, shaking her head from side to side.
"Listen... I know guys. And every guy is the same. You are going to go kiss a girl, which would most likely develop into something more. That something would most likely be called 'hooking up.'" She said, uncrossing her arms to turn her back on Louis before hesitating and saying something more, "I'll prove you wrong Mr. Weasley. I'm pretty good at that. Like I said before.. I hate being wrong. And Louis... It's called hormones. Everyone has them... so I'm pretty sure you are going to have some sexuality with another girl tonight. It's called getting experience."

"I listened, and believe it or not heard everything that was said, but I still don't understand exactly what happened Lexi." Louis said calmly, even though underneath his calm facade he was in complete turmoil, lost in the events of the last few minutes.
He continued to listen to her tell him what he was supposedly going to do, simply because he was a guy. "Not every guy is a slave to his hormones Lexi. Seriously, don't tar us all with the same brush! You never know one day, one of us may surprise you." He said simply, though a slight defensive note was detectable in his voice. He knew he wasn't going to hook up, or even kiss another girl that night. It's just not who he was. Teenage boy or not.

Lexi let out a sigh, shaking her head up at Louis. She looked away from him, rubbing her eyes in a tired manor, "Listen to me Louis... I mean did you really think that this, meaning us, would actually form into something? I mean I hoped it would... but really? I mean you're... just some random guy who I met on a whim, and I'm just some random girl that you'll forget completely about in the morning, with your killer hangover. Can you just ask yourself one question? Why do you care?"
The blond ran a hand through her hair, feeling the stress settle in her. She didn't want to fight with another guy again. That's all she seemed to be doing her whole life and it was time to stop. Lexi scowled at Louis her eyes filled with regret, "I'll believe you if you prove me wrong about guys. If I prove you wrong then it's bye bye to you and me." She said, her eyes sharp as she turned on her heel to run away from the scene that had escalated. She sucked in a deep breath before her walk became a sprint up the hill towards the castle.
