James smiled and held her "I love you too for the billionth time my gorgeous girl." he said. He smiled and nodded "On my 17th birthday, Dad was on an auror mission and I didn't see him until a week afterwards." he said "I really missed him on my special day I mean it's a day you want to be with family." He felt the tears and stroked her back trying to calm her down. However he smiled when she took his shirt off and kissed her back. He felt his back against he wall and moved his lips against hers matching the passion and pressed against her. "Hunny, not to kill the mood but maybe we should move this out of the hallway, I mean it's a bit public." he said smirking. He picked her up and carried her back into the party. He moved into a side room which had materialised as it had known about the after party. He put her down on the bed and climbed onto it with her kissing her passionatly.
Lilah's voice floated merrily as she responded to him, "Well, then it seems to me that you were in the same position as I am right now. Although I hope you weren't doing this very same thing with another girl..." She said, her lips finding his once more, and meeting him passion for passion. She laughed gently as he spoke, and she pulled away, just as he swept her off of her feet, carrying her back into the party. "Hmm... very true... I mean, I don't have a problem with the hall, but okay." she chuckled as she was placed on the bed.
Feeling James' lips once more was so familiar she was likely to die, as she melted. She pushed him away slightly, her voice hushed, "This is real bad... real bad, James. Though I'm not quite sure I want to stop." She smirked, her hand crawling up his chest and to lock around his neck, her fingers entwining in his hair. She pulled his head back down, her lips finding his in a matter of seconds. Her eyes fell, her other hand, on his back, pulling his body down to skim hers.

James laughed and shook his head "You're my one and only." he said kissing her keeping the passion up. He laughed at the fact that she was ok with the hall and shook his head "Not comfortable enough." He looked confused "What's bad love?" he asked. He kissed her back skimming her body with his. He fumbled with her shirt and undid it taking it off and throwing it on the floor craving skin contact. He kissed her weak spot and whispered "I need you so bad." and nibbled her ear. He paused and looked into her chocolate eyes and asked "Do you want us to do it?" wanting to make sure he wasn't pressuring her into it.
Louis had stayed pretty much in his spot for a while after Lilah had left but soon got dragged into a conversation with some other Gryffindors, he'd had another bottle of Butterbeer and a couple of swigs of Firewhiskey. The conversation had been a distraction, and a welcome one at that, but also meant that he hadn't seen Lilah and James disappear into the side room.
Finally he'd had enough of pretending everything was fine, but he didn't want to leave without saying goodbye to his best friend, he felt he at least owed her that. So he moved through the room, maneuvering around the other part goers and towards the slightly concealed door he'd spotted from the other side of the room.
He pushed it open and was greeted by a sight he wished he'd never seen. After everything she'd said to him, every doubt she'd had here she was. With him. "What the fuck!?" He said simply, "After all your indecision and doubts Lilah! Well it's nice to know you fucking listen to me. Did you even talk to him? Or tell him what you told me?" He was trying desperately to ignore James' presence in the room. "You know what? I don't care anymore. Do what you want. I'm through." He sighed, turning to leave.

Everything was rushing. Even if James said he wasn't rushing her, he truly was. Her heart pounded hard in her throat as she felt her shirt off, his skin against hers. At that very second the only image that went through her mind was the image of her father. How would he feel if he knew she was about to do this? She shook her head, about to push James off before she heard Louis' voice echo softly in the room. In a matter of seconds James was no longer on her, and she was pulling her shirt over her head. Tears streamed down her face as she listened to Louis' words, giving James the finger before running off after her best friend.
Catching Louis by the arm, Lilah pulled him around to look at her, tear streaks on her rosy cheeks. Her voice was broken and shattered as she spoke to him, the tears spilling from her eyes. "I tried to talk to him Louis! I tried, but I didn't know exactly how to say what I wanted to say! So don't you talk shit to me like that ever again, because you didn't even know the whole story!" She yelled, her hand shaky on his arm. "You're through? What the hell is that suppose to mean? Like our friendship is over or something?" She asked, her voice filled with curiosity.

James looked round as he heard the door open and saw his cousin standing there and groaned. He glared at Louis and his glare got more intense with every word Louis spoke. He frowned hearing what he said she had had doubts? She had talked to him without talking to me? I would have listened. He looked away from Louis and looked down at Lilah feeling her push him off and saw the tears in his girls eyes and hung his head in shame as he saw her give him the finger. He had blown it, he had moved too fast. He watched her leave and sat on the bed putting on his shirt putting his head in his hands.

As Lilah grabbed his arm, Louis turned to face her, stopping dead in his tracks. He hated seeing the tears on her cheeks, and knowing that he was at least partly responsible for them, if not wholly responsible. He bit his lip as she spoke, her broken tone making him angry, but he knew he wasn't angry at the girl in front of him.
"It sure looked like you were trying to talk to him Lilah. Well, maybe you shouldn't just tell people half the story, or they end up trying to stop you getting hurt and end up getting hurt themselves instead." His voice had started cold but had turned to one of defeat. "I'm through with fighting this silent war. I'm through with putting myself through all of this for nothing." He sighed, looking into his best friends eyes, "I'll always be your best friend Lilah, never ever doubt that." He was sincere in his last words, he would always be there for her, but he needed to find a way to be completely happy just being her best friend.

Listening softly to Louis, she wiped the fallen tears from her eyes, using the back of her palm. She sighed, pushing her hair from her face and looking up at Louis with big brown eyes. "I'm sorry, Louis... I--I made a mistake, but I told you all of the story before you walked in on us. I haven't told you the whole story about what just happened. So stop trying to pin all this shit on me." She said stubbornly, rubbing her eyes with her fists. She looked up at with curiosity filling her eyes.
"Wait... I'm confused... what silent war are you talking about? Is there something you're not telling me? Because if there is... you better tell me right now, Louis Weasley!" She said, her voice short and demanding. Then she slowly lowered her head, leaning it against Louis' chest before breaking out into a couple long lines of sobs into his chest. "Well good... because I don't know what I would do if you weren't always gonna be my best friend. I would most likely die." She chuckled softly.
"I'm not trying to pin anything on you Lillah." Louis said, trying to yell in response to her stubborn tone, because that really wouldn't help anything right at this moment. "There is something I probably should tell you, but now is neither the time, nor the place." He wrapped his arms around her as she rested her head against his chest, "Trust me, you never have to worry about me not being your best friend. You're stuck with me Miss Krum, no matter what." He smiled softly.
And that was it, the moment when he realised that he was her best friend, nothing more. The feelings he'd had weren't there anymore, but he also realised that they'd been fading for quite some time. He just hadn't noticed because he was so used to feeling that way. He still loved her, but now it was purely platonic. And that thought was comforting, for him at least. "Well, things just got easier." He muttered quietly, not sure if she'd hear, but sort of hoping she wouldn't.

Feeling Louis' warm arms wrap around her felt exactly like home. She smiled into his chest, a low chuckle escaping her lips for a split second. She loved the sound of his voice as he said that she was stuck with him. She looked up at him, cocking her head to the side as she looked up at him with big, brown eyes. She rolled her eyes slightly, but couldn't help it when her smile reached her eyes with happiness. "Well good. Because I really would be in a state of depression if I ever lost you. So with that little piece of information, you better not abuse my feelings for you."
She said that last sentence in reference towards black mail. I mean no one liked black mail. Well at least no one that Lilah knew. So she expected Louis to be her best friend for the rest of her life. Just like James should be. Although she hoped she would be married to James Sirius Potter instead of just being his 'best friend' for the rest of her life.

He looked down into her brown eyes and couldn't help but smile. "My, my, are you blackmailing me Lilah? That's not nice, is it? And it's definitely not necessary." He grinned, shaking his head a little. "Like I said you're stuck with me, and I meant it, forever. You can't get rid of me, no matter what." He said honestly. Louis Weasley was many things, loyal was definitely one of them. Nothing Lilah could do would stop him being there for her. Nothing at all.
Louis was still relishing the feel of the invisible weight being gone from his shoulders, he felt free to just enjoy their friendship, a feeling he had dearly missed, and so now he was simply enjoying it. He had felt this good, or relaxed in what felt like forever, before there'd always been a cautiousness, as if he'd do something that would tip her off to his true feelings, but now he didn't have to worry about it.
