[Lilah Krum]

The day had finally arrived. Lilah's birthday. She had been planning the party for quite a while now, inviting a large number of friends. Her boyfriend was one of the many, as was her best friend, Louis. She hadn't invited any Slytherins... big surprise there, and she was ready for the party.

Lilah's mind whirled with thoughts of the party, and hoping that no one would get into a fight. She walked the corridor towards the Room of Requirement, which was going to hold her party, and she walked past the invisible door three times thinking the same thing each time she walked past it.

Lilah entered the room slowly, looking up at all the set up decorations. She smiled wildly, looking around and seeing a pinata on the table. She grabbed it, walking over to a ladder. She climbed it slowly, tying the Hufflepuff Pinata to the ceiling. She smiled at it, looking down at her outfit which she had quickly picked out.

Lilah was wearing a mini skirt, which was black with silver sparkles. She had on a white halter top, which showed her shoulders, and a decent amount of her tanned back. Her hair was curled today, part of it pulled up in a measurable amount. She wore a large daisy in her hair, which complimented her decently.

Climbing down from the ladder, Lilah looked up at the ceiling of the Room of Requirement, happy with her decorations. She grabbed a remote, turning up the volume of the music which echoed off the walls of the nice smelling room. She sighed, sitting down on the couch, closing her eyes with boredom, and exhaustion. Then she waited for the people she invited to show up, which frankly didn't take long at all.

[James Sirius Potter]

James quickly did up his shirt and put on his jeans. He brushed his hair back as normal and looked at his reflection. It was his girlfriend's birthday and he wanted to be the first one to greet her on her special day. Coming of age was a big thing. He had had a huge party last year with his family and friends attending and wanted to make hers really special. He brushed his teeth making sure he had mint breath and grabbed his leather jacket making sure he had her present. He had seen her admiring a gorgeous neclace with and amathyst stone and so had sneaked into Hogsmede to buy it for her. He put the present in his pocket and picked up the bouquet of flowers he had brought that day and left the room. He walked quickly to the Room of Requirement and walked past it three times

The door materialised and he opened it looking towards the couch seeing her sitting there with her eyes closed. "Happy Birthday love!" he said and walked to join her on the couch and kissed her tenderly.

[Louis Weasley]

Running a hand through his hair Louis Weasley sighed to himself, today was his best friends birthday, and yet he couldn't find it within himself to be as happy as he knew he should be. Glancing over his reflection once more in the mirror, he looked good in his black collared shirt and dark grey trousers. He ran one more hand through his hair before turning to his bed side table and picking up the small wrapped present he'd gotten Lilah.

He made his way slowly through the halls and soon found himself in front of the Room of Requirement, he fixed as genuine a smile on his face as he could before walking back and forth in front of the wall and willing the door to open. As it materialised he made sure the smile was on his face and the present was in his pocket before slowly opening the door, only to be hit by a wave of music and some amazing decorations.

The sight he was greeted with was his best friend and his cousin, James Potter, sat on the couch kissing, now it wasn't a new sight but he wasn't sure how much of it he could handle tonight. He shut the door behind him, louder than he normally would to alert the pair to his presence. "Hey there Birthday Girl!" He greeted Lilah brightly, his convincing smile still stuck on his face.

Lilah's eyes flew open as she heard James' voice float towards her. She smiled widely, watching him walk over to her. He sat down next to her, but Lilah didn't have time to say hi. His lips pressed against hers immediately, and she kissed him back with as much passion as she could.

Just as Lilah began kissing James, she heard the door open and close again, and she pushed James away, Her hand lingering on his chest. She looked up to see Louis, and jumped up to give him a quick, friendly hug. She eyed Louis for a while, giving him the hint that he better not make this awkward.

Lilah smiled gently at the two boys, and she grabbed to presents that each of them had in their hands. She took them over to the table, feeling each one to see if she could figure out what was in them. She frowned, giving up on trying to figure out what each box held. "Thanks for the presents guys, and thanks for coming."

Lilah said, walking towards the door to give other hugs as people began pouring into the door. She smiled, looking over at James and giving him a quick wink. She took another quick look at her outfit, the dog tag which had been previously owned by James, hung delicately on her neck.

[James Sirius Potter]

James kissed her back with as much passion as she had put into it. When she broke off he looked up at the door and saw his cousin Louis and smiled at him "Hey Lou! Long time no see. How have you been?" he said shaking Louis hand. However he sensed awkwardness between them. They had never been close, but they chatted as cousins do. He decided it must be because Louis is Lilah's best friend and he was dating her and knew that he was only being protective. He stood up watching Lilah greeting the other guests and walked to her putting an arm around her waist. He noticed the dog tag and smirked "That still looks 100 times sexier on you than on me." he whispered in her ear kissing her neck and stroking the dog tag.

Louis smile became a little more real as Lilah hugged him and took the present he'd gotten her. When he looked at her with a warning in her eyes he just rolled his at her, it wasn't his intention to ruin her birthday, or make it awkward for anyone for that matter. "You're very welcome my dear." He grinned as she thanked both the boys for the presents.

As James greeted him Louis moved over and shook his hand, still smiling, he'd decided to try and ignore the fact that this guy was going out with his best friend for the moment and was just his cousin. "Hey James, I know it seems like forever since I last saw you, I've been great thanks, you?" His vice was filled with cheer.

As people started arriving Louis sat on the sofa, watching Lilah for a moment as James moved over to her, whispering something in her ear. He was ecstatic that his best friend was happy, that's all he'd ever wanted for her since he'd met her. He only wished she could've been happy with him, but today as no day for thinking things like that.

[Teddy Lupin]

Ted rubbed his neck as he made his way down from the Gryffindor Common Room. It had been awhile since he had been to a birthday party, but he felt he should go, since this was after all James's girlfriend. He looked down at the present. Rosie had gotten it with him, since he didn't have a clue what to get a girl, which lead to some teasing for his part. He did wrap the bracelet though, and said it was from the both of them, since he wasn't sure if she would be making it or not. He found a few people walking into the door as he made his way over, and once he entered he looked around the set up. The Room did not let the teenagers down again, this would definitely be another one of those remembered parties. "Hey Lilah, James." he said as he entered, handing the gift off to Lilah. "Happy Birthday by the way." he said with a smile before looking over at James. "Hey, wait till no one's watching will yah?" he joked, taking his finger and flicking James's nose with a smirk before standing beside his best friend, allowing others to enter.

Lilah smiled at Teddy as he entered, taking the present and thanking him. She felt James at her side as he whispered something at began kissing her neck. She smirked at Teddy, hitting James in the chest playfully before speaking gently, "I was just about to say the same thing, Teddy! Thanks though, James." She smiled at her boyfriend, raising her eyebrow slightly.

Slowly, Lilah moved out from under James' arm to walk over and set the present on the table. After she did that, she walked over to Louis, to sit down next to him. "So? How are you and James getting along? Nothing weird, or uncomfortable?" She asked, tilting her head to the side curiously. She turned her head to look over at the music player as the song changed to a song that was familiar to her.

Lilah stood up slowly, looking down at Louis with dark eyes, "Care to dance, my friend?" She asked, as the song With Arms Wide Open began to play. She smiled, walking to the dance floor and putting her hands up on Louis' shoulders. It was indeed a friendly dance, so Lilah looked over at James giving him a wink that told him that it meant nothing more.

James smiled and nodded to Louis to mean he was fine and looked over to Teddy smiling as he came in. He stopped kissing her neck and frowned at Teddy "I was about to say thanks for coming." he joked back and mocked gripping his nose. He turned to Lilah and smirked "Sorry, just you look so damn fine." he muttered to her. He watched as she walked over to Louis and asked him to dance. He couldn't help feel a sling pang of jealousy towards them even though he knew it was nothing. Damn he needed to stop being overprotective. He turned to Teddy and said "So any news?" he asked even though they had talked that morning. He grabbed himself a butterbear bottle and sipped it.

[Louis Weasley]

He smiled at Lilah as she sat beside him, "We're getting along just fine dear, nothing weird or uncomfortable on my end." He said after a deep breath, and mentally added the word YET onto the end of his sentence. As the music changed his smile softened and became more genuine.

As she stood up and looked down at him asking him to dance he nodded, following her out onto the dance floor and winding his arms around her waist, resisting the temptation to pull he close, they were after all only best friends, and her boyfriend was in the room. "So Miss Krum, are you enjoying your birthday?" He asked quietly, looking down at her.

[Teddy Lupin]

Ted chuckled as James was playfully swatted in the chest. "That's my job Lilah, to keep this one at bay." he chuckled, slapping James on the back as Lilah went over to the table to put his present away. "And your welcome, and it sure beats any night in the common room, though..." he trailed, looking over at James with a smirk and waggling his eyebrows. Every since the Yule Ball, he had gotten back to his own self, his own playful, sarcastic, lovable fool self. With the help of a Miss Rosie Weasley, of course. He watched as James trailed his eyes after his girlfriend, dancing with Louis. "No nothing new, well besides the fact that my best friend slash brother is jealous of his cousin who is dancing with your head-over-heels-in-love-with-you girlfriend." he smirked, grabbing himself a butterbeer. He had to remind himself to take only three glasses of the stuff, since he wasn't even risking the tipsy thing. He looked down at his hand, which was now covered in rope-like scars.

[Lilah Krum]

Lilah smiled, looking up at Louis with warm, friendly eyes. She nodded her head, as he wrapped his arms around her waist. Her voice hung in the air as she spoke, happy with the way the night was coming along, "Well good. I wouldn't want anyone to get in a fight. I hope you wouldn't either, my best friend." She chuckled softly, dancing to the rhythim of the song, her long hair swinging down her back.

Lilah was partly surprised when James hadn't walked on to the dance floor, tapped Louis on the shoulder, and asked to take over. She had thought that was what he would do, but she guessed he was trying to keep his cool and not look like a complete jack ass. Of course it would be fine if James cut in at the end of the song, but right when they would have gotten on the dance floor would have been an idiotic thing. Her boyfriend was just so smart.

Finally, Lilah responded to Louis slowly, her eyes swimming with thoughts of James, "Hell yeah! It's been a blast so far, me thinks. I just wish I could have spent it with my dad also. I haven't talked to him in ages. I really need to see him..." She sighed heavilly, her eyes beginning to fill with melancholy. "I miss him soo much, I can't even put it into words. I'll probably feel the same way whenever James graduates here, and I wont be able to see him for the longest time." She muttered, wishing that he didn't have to graduate.

[Lily Potter]

The day had come, not that she could have forgotten, James talked about it constantly. Lilah's birthday. Great, just great. The two weren't the best of friends, but they had good reason. Nevertheless, Lily Potter had been invited to the big bash that was set for that night. It was supposed to a big event, people from every house, save Slytherin that is. Who ever invited Slytherins to their party, though? They were just a bunch of stuck up brats that didn't give shit about anyone. So, she had to go. No reason not too.

She slipped on her favorite shirt. A ribbed white shirt with decorated angle wings printed down the length of the back. Small black rhinestones hidden throughout the black print. Her jeans went on next, the ones her mum had sent her because the others like them had torn. Dark wash skinny jeans that fit her small frame quite nicely. She buttoned them up quickly, pulling her shirt over the top. She slipped on some black boots before gliding her clear lip gloss on. She clasped the silver clip of the charm bracelet Zane had given her around her wrist, looking at it for a moment before turning to the door. She grabbed the little yellow package that held Lilah's little pearl earrings before turning and walking out the door.

She was at the Room or Requirement before long, pacing back and forth three times thinking : I need to find Lilah's party. She smiled when the door formed before her, walking in slowly, seeing her brothers, cousin and the girl of the night. She waved the gift softly, raising an eyebrow at the couple. "I agree with Teddy, I say you can't even hold hands." she said slyly, a smile on her lips. She set her gift down, walking over to Lilah. "You look lovely, Lilah. Happy birthday.' she said, smiling as sweetly as she could before she looked at her brother and winked. She knew his plan, though he didn't even know it.

[James Sirius Potter]

James smirked at Teddy glad to have the old one back. He was over the moon when he heard that they had sorted out their differences and started up again. They were just so perfect for each other. He heard what Teddy said and smirked punching him playfully frowning "Is it that obvious?" he asked looking over at Louis and Lilah. He saw that she looked surprised and guessed that she was expecting him to be overprotective. Just let her have one song with him and then you can steal her the rest of the night. He convinced himself. He smiled at Teddy and said "Don't get pissed again. I speak for all when I say that we don't want the other Teddy Lupin back."

[Louis Weasley]

"Of course i wouldn't want anyone to end up fighting on your birthday. I don't do fights, remember?" Louis smiled, it was true, ge rarely ever got into a fight, only when it was something important to him, which he knew Lilah knew. Just like she knew that as his best friend she was important to him.

Hem was enjoying his time with his best friend, since he was sure it would be one of the rare moments tonight that he actually got alone with her, well as alone as you could get at a party. "I'm glad you're enjoying your party, you deserve to have an amazing night you know that, right? And I know you miss your dad, but you'll see him soon. And you can always write to him." Louis smiled, hating the look of sadness on her face.

"Since I think this is the only chance James is going to let me have to dance with you tonight I just wanted to say Happy Birthday." He said quietly so Lilah could just hear his voice over the music as the song started drawing to a close. He pressed a kiss to her forehead, like he always did, even James should know that that's just how they were. "I hope this year's better than the last."
