"I won't upset mum, you know that, I've been speaking French whenever we go over for years, I'm not gonna stop now. More trouble than it's worth." He sighed, it was true, he only went along with the whole language thing for his mum, unfortunately that meant his dad was on the receiving end of most of his rants about it.
He knew she could fight, but so could he, and truth be told they were probably evenly matched, not that he'd admit that to her anytime soon. Though he couldn't help but smile at her narrowed eyes and pursed lips. "Relax Dom, I know you can fight." He shook his head.
He smirked as she went off a bit, "I'll take that as a 'yes I have kissed him' then shall I?" He laughed, "I never said you couldn't snog whoever you want, I just wanted to know if you'd snogged Dakota." He smiled, looking a little smug.

"Okay good," She said nodding. Dominique knew he did go along with it just for their mom, but she wanted to make sure he wouldn't do anything to upset her, even accidentally. She felt bad for her father, she had heard Louis ranting to him quite a few times while their mother was out, voicing his annoyances at having to speak French every time they visited their grandparents.
The Gryffindor stuck her hands in her pocket and grasped her wand, just for comfort. It made her feel safer, more secure, knowing she had it with her. Dominique was a good fighter, she just wished she could prove it to people, they usually laughed and didn't take her threats seriously, and that seriously annoyed her.
"Yeah well can't I keep part of my life to myself? Bloody hell Louis, If I wanted to talk to someone about who I snog, which I don't, I would find a friend." She said without a trace of a french accent. It was pretty funny, when she got mad Dominique's English accent became more prominent, but when she was agitated her French accent would be more noticeable and she would often speak rapidly in french. "But since you already know the answer yes I have snogged Dakota, happy?"
Louis bit back a laugh as her French accent disappeared, she was angry, but that wouldn't stop him. It was his job to be as annoying as humanly possible. "I've very happy, for you. Kinda sorry for him. I mean, the poor guy, kissing you probably scarred him for life." He teased, taking a step back from her, not willing to remain within reach of her arms or legs after that statement.
He could feel his wand in his pocket but he'd never draw it on his sister, that was just simply never going to happen. Partly because his dad would very possibly kill him, but also because you just didn't do that kind of thing. Teasing and annoying were one thing, actually dueling with her was another, also Dominique could be scary when she was mad.

Dominique felt like screaming at him, but she didn't want to draw attention to them. "You know, sometimes I really hate you," She hissed at him before turning and pushing her way through the crowd and out of Honeydukes. The cold wind hit her like a knife but she didn't pay it any attention. She pulled her gloves out of her pocket, pulled them on her fingers and stalked away.
God he was so annoying. Teasing was one thing but it was another thing to insult her like that, because sometimes she felt that way. She knew she was beautiful, the Veela in her told her that every day, but there were times when she felt so insignificant next to Dakota. He was so smart, and then there was her, nothing more than a pretty face. She had to wonder why Dakota would like her, she was just glad he did, and now Louis had to be an idiot and hit her right where it hurt.
Sighing as she stalked away Louis returned the liquorice wands to the shelf and pushed his way outside after her. Jogging lightly to catch up with her. "Dom." He sighed as he reached side. "I'm sorry, I was just messing around. You know I didn't mean it." He said earnestly. He hadn't realised how she'd take his words until the moment he said them.
"Please, forgive me?" He said, moving in front of her to block her way. He hated it when she was upset, they might wind each other up, but he never usually took it too far, and he felt awful. If anyone else had made her feel like this Louis would've knocked them out. "Come on, you know you're beautiful, and clever, and a little scary when you're angry. And you know any guy would be more than lucky to have you."

Dominique stared straight ahead as Louis ran to catch up to her. She stared straight ahead, not looking at him. When he cut her off she stopped and glared at him. "Yeah that Veela in my says that," She said in a dull voice, "And usually I feel like I am right for a guy, like I'm perfect for him, because I'm vain that way." She spat bitterly, that was the disadvantage to being part Veela, she was overly aware of her beauty and charm over boys. "But when it comes to Dakota I don't feel like I'm good enough for him. I mean," She paused, "He's a Ravenclaw, so smart, so sweet, he deserves a girl like him. And then there's me, I'm a bubblehead, nothing but a pretty face, especially compared to him." She sighed, she knew that Louis hadn't meant to make her upset, it had been what he thought was an innocent remark, it was just a sensitive subject for her.
"Don't be silly Dom, you're no bubblehead, honestly, and you know I'm not saying that to make you feel better, 'cause really, when do I ever do that?" He smiled softly at her. "You're a Gryffindor, but you're still smart and sweet, not to me admittedly, but to other people who aren't related." He laughed quietly.
"And while I'll kill any guy who hurts you in any way shape or form, I know Dakota, kind of, and if you want to be with him then you deserve him. I personally don't think any guy deserves you, but that's just me being too protective. So stop being so silly and accept the fact that you're not just a pretty face." He sighed as he looked her her, willing her believe him.

Dominique looked at her younger brother with large brown eyes. "God how can you be so nice to me? I'm horrible to you, I don't deserve you either." She said smiling, "Now savour that because it's the only time I'm ever going to say it." The red head gave her brother a quick hug and then stood back, more serious again.
"There's a part of me that's far too proud Louis. A part of me that tells me I'm perfect and better than everyone. This part tells me I'm beautiful, and could have any guy I want. It's the Veela part," She said softly. "And when I think about that it makes me sick, because it makes me feel like I should be a Slytherin." She sighed, "And I hate that feeling, I want to make Mum and Dad proud, but how can I when half the time I'm too selfish to pay attention to anything else?"
"Oh, I'm savouring." He laughed as he returned her quick hug. It was very rare that these two were genuinely nice to each other, probably because they were forced together so often, what with being in the same year at school. It was hard to escape sometimes so they just wound each other up.
"Dom-Dom, you are better than everyone, you're related to me." He laughed, "And you could have any guy you want, that's a cross we all must bear. But you definitely aren't a Slytherin, and Mum and Dad are proud of you." He shook his head, "Are you ever going to accept the fact that being part Veela doesn't define us, any of us, it's just something we live with. And I know how hard it can be to ignore that part, but it doesn't make you selfish. Just trust me when I say that no matter what, you deserve to get anything you want, except getting rid of me, you're stuck with me, sorry."

"I know you are," Dominique muttered crossing her arms and rolling her eyes at him, but it was nice that they were having a normal conversation, or a slightly normal conversation, because most siblings didn't talk about being part Veela like them, it was just another way these Weasley siblings were different from everyone else.
"And of course, being related to you makes me amazing, I thought it was because we had amazing parents, but I must be wrong," Dom laughed and jumped from one foot to another, trying to get some feeling into her froze toes. She now regretted storming out of Honeydukes, it had been warm in their, but she didn't feel like going back in, it was just too full. "There are some days where I don't ignore that part, and those days someone, which could be me or the person dealing with me, is going to get hurt." The Gryffindor sighed, she loved being part Veela, when it didn't get in the way of her life. "And I'm still working on getting you shipped off to Aunt Gabrielle, I haven't given up yet, you know me, I'm stubborn."
"Mum and dad are just an added bonus Dom, surely you know that by now!" Louis laughed, he was starting to get cold now, and wanted to be back in Honeydukes but he'd wait for Dominique to suggest that they go somewhere. "No one will get seriously hurt Dom, even you have to see that."
"Yeah well I'm still working on selling you, I put an advert in The Prophet, now I'm just waiting to hear back." He grinned as she mentioned that she was still trying to get him shipped off to live with their Aunt. "But maybe I'll just let Dakota keep you, it wouldn't be that nice to sell you off just as you guys are starting out now would it?" He smiled, with a slight teasing voice.

Dominique looked around the snowy street of Hogsmeade, not many people were hanging out, because most people were smart. "Come on, let's go to the Three Broomsticks," She said to her brother. She walked towards it, knowing Louis would follow her. "And yes of course, I'm sure having a mother amazing enough to get into the Triwizard Tournament has nothing to do with it right," She rolled her eyes at him, they were back to brother and sister teasing each other. "And I don't mean physically, I mean I'm afraid I might hurt someone emotionally, you aren't very smart are you?"
"And I'm sure you put an advertisement in. But there's no way you can make me go, remember that little brother." She smiled at him, enjoying this banter back and forth. Then he brought of Dakota again, she took a deep breath. "Yeah, right." She said rolling her eyes and punching him lightly in the shoulder. "I guess that's better than you selling me to a complete stranger, but good luck convincing dad."
Sure enough Louis followed his sister towards the Three Broomsticks. "Mum was simply a contributing factor to my greatness." He laughed, "And I know you meant emotionally, but again I say no on will get seriously hurt." He sighed, shaking his head a little like their dad did sometimes.
"I'll find a way to make you Dom-Dom, for the right price at least. It's got to be worth my efforts." He smiled, then rubbed his arm as she punched him, "Geez Dom. There's no need to get violent." He teased. "No, I wouldn't sell you to Dakota, I'd let him keep you free of charge, and I'm sure dad would get over it." He shrugged, still smiling.

The sixth year pulled the door of the Three Broomsticks open like she had done so many times since her third year. "No, Mum was a contributing factor to my greatness, you on the other hand, got none of it." She walked up to the counter and ordered two butterbeers, "You better pay me back," She said to him as she payed for them and handed him his. She walked over to a table and sat down at it. "And whatever, let's not talk about that right now." She said taking a sip of her warm drink, willing some warmth into her fingers.
"And right, good luck with that, you should know by now you can't make me do anything I don't want to do." She smiled and pulled her gloves off, putting them on the tabletop next to her. "And that punch is to remind you of that." She joked. "Yeah I know that, and I'm pretty sure dad would have issues with it, no matter what you say, I'm his little girl and I don't think he'd appreciate you letting a guy keep me." She said putting her gloves into her purse and leaning back in her chair.
"You keep telling yourself that Dom, you know I'm awesome!" Louis laughed, accepting the Butterbeer she handed to him. "Pay you back? No. I didn't ask you to buy it in the first place." He laughed, because they both knew he'd get the next ones. He wandered over to the table with her and sat, enjoying the smooth warmth of the liquid as he drank the bottle.
"I have my ways Dom-Dom." He grinned before adding an exaggerated evil villain laugh. "I don't think he'd mind so much if he found out the guy was Dakota Dom, I don't think dad would have to worry, do you? Besides you'd be happy wouldn't you? And after all that's all Daddy wants." He teased her with a grin.
