It was safe to say Quidditch Practice had overrun, as was usual. The sun had set in the sky almost two hours ago, the winter daylight hours acting against the Gryffindors out practicing. The aim of today's training session had been to find a new beater to replace Rosie. Many wannabe beaters had turned up, from first years clutching one of the school brooms, barely able to fly, to the sixth years who were soaring in the sky performing loop the loops. The practice had gone well, starting off with a simple warmup in groups of six, each group accompanied by a member of the team. It was difficult enough already finding a replacement for Rosie, who had worked really well with Ted, without having to struggle against the attitude problems of certain fifth years who were definitely too big for their boots. Zane had sent them away an hour ago, ensuring them that they would find out by the end of the week. Most of the team members had wandered off, leaving just Zane, James and Ted to practice in the near pitch black.
It had got to that point now where even Zane had to admit there was not much point in continuing. He called out into the darkness, "I'm gonna call it a day. You two finished yet?" He landed on the ground, lumos, the small amount of light should be enough to show the others where he was, so that, hopefully, they wouldn't crash into him when they landed. They probably wouldn't, but you never know, they might of blacked out or something, or be looking the other way...
Ted turned to the sight of his best friend on the ground, his wand lit up. "I've been ready for ages." Ted laughed, pointing his broom towards the ground, landing with ease. Today had been an extremely long day for him. He had known much before Zane that Rosie was going to step down from her Second-in-Command position, which had thankfully been given to James and not him, and quit the Quidditch team. He had been quite upset over that one, due to the fact he loved that they were known as unstoppable beaters while on the pitch. Working in sync with one another was a piece of cake for them, like they had been doing it for years instead of less then one. But he understood why she did it, she felt like there was a lot riding on her now, now that she needed the good marks to get into St. Mungo's like she dreamed and had to help him plan their wedding. Even just thinking about that while in the air made him do a loop-de-loop.
But it had been a long day, filled with kids just wanting to be on the Quidditch team to say they were or to "get chicks" as he heard a few of them agree on. Ted tried his best to work with them, but a few were hopeless at hitting the bludger, just giving it a tap and it kept coming back for more. There was more then once that Ted would have to go and rescue a few of them. Then there was the ones who could hit, but could not aim. At one point he found himself running around, protecting his team from near-death over and over again. At one point he had to ask Zane not to ask him how he worked with each of them, since he couldn't even decide which was half decent at all.
The day had been planned for quite the while, as a small amount of DE members met in the Chamber of Secrets to discuss the plan. They had been told to put on there best masks of false truth, acting as if nothing had been planned. It would be unexpected, the plan. Considering that everything had been played out like normal day. Nothing new, exciting or suspenseful. There wasn't a singe look in any DE's expression that was filled with excitement or mischief.
Which was a very good thing.
The quiet swooshing sound was barely audible as Nikita flew above the pitch, watching the three boys with haunted eyes. She flew to a stop, about a hundred feet above the three Gryffindor's heads. Her hood was pulled up above her head, and she was dressed in all black, in order to camouflage herself. Her hair was pulled up in a tight pony tail, that way it would stay out of her face. The only thing completely visible on the Slytherin's face and body were her pale blue eyes.
A smile pulled up on her face, filled with mischief. She brushed a strand of hair behind her ear, before swooping downwards, in the middle of the group of boys. Her voice was cold as ice as she talked to them, "Hello boys. How are we doing today?" She asked, eying them curiously. She began walking around them, her hood falling off of her head, showing her raven black hair as it shimmered in the moonlight.
Noah watched as Nikita took her place, a wicked grin on his face. It had been awhile since there had been any mischiet made by anyone, not attacks. People were beginning to feel safe again, and the DE couldn't have that. Noah turned his head to Kia, who had identical robes to Nikita and himself on, hiding from the boys as they finished up their practise. He rolled his shoulders as he floated up above, watching the boys pull their wands. He almost snorted, but didn't, knowing it would blow their cover. Besides, Zane would probably be the only to realize that Nikita wouldn't come alone. He hadn't been spying on them for a few months to not know their flaws. Or weaknesses, like their temper when their girls got attacked. Especially Ted, it was so easily to provoke him and see the results. Zane was a little harder, and James was in between.
He looked over to Kianthra, his arms crossed. They were in charge of the sneak attack when Nikita 'surrendered'. He was going after Ted, since Kia wanted her brother. Levi was to take James. Noah found Corliss seemed to bring out the sadistic soul, he couldn't wait to see the boy squirm under his hold. Oh Rosie wouldn't be pleased, but he had heard that she didn't want to below to the New Order anymore. While he was undercover for the Death Eaters, she had always saw right through him. He was sure it was going to be exciting, wondering what she'd do if he hurt a hair on the boys hair. Maybe she'd cry at him, that would be amusing to watch.
So Noah waited above the ground, while the NO commanding officers stood, wands all raised at Nikita. Oh, this would be jolly good fun.

Kianthra circled the stands high above the Gryffindors heads. She too was dressed all in black, like her best friend, but unlike her best friend, she didn't get to go down and engage in small talk, oh too bad. She looked across at Noah, her partner for leading the sneak attack. This would be fun. Something they hadn't done in what seemed like an age. A proper attack, full on with no restrictions, but of course there had to be a catch, waiting for the signal. Oh how she hated to wait just before a fight, it only prolonged the boredom that the fight would bring to an end. She spotted the bright blonde hair through the gloom, lit up by wandlight. Her target for that evening. Zane, her brother. An easy task for one who knew his weaknesses, but of course that would take away all the fun out of the chase. She inspected her nails whilst waiting for the boys to...ah there they went, how predictable. She had to admit, it would be good fun to watch, because she knew how it was going to end up. Kia sighed a happy contented sigh before turning her attention back to the action.

Looking down on the pitch Levi couldn't help but smile as he circled around, waiting for the moment when all the planning would come to fruition. For once he was dressed purely in black, no other colours were visible, even the streaks in his hair were hidden, thanks to the hood covering his head.
He knew that this was going to be fun, and he couldn't help the shiver of anticipation which flew down his spine. He had been waiting far too long to let this side of himself go, since he usually kept a tight reign on his darker tendencies, only allowing his playful side to be shown to most of his house. Though the smile which was on his face now was a far cry from the usual happy, carefree one which was usually found on him, no, this one was dark and slightly sadistic.
His eyes were trained on the targets below them, as well their ally and distraction Nikita. James Potter would never know what hit him. Now all that was left was to wait for the signal. Then he, Kia and Noah would make their move.

James finally flew to the ground after scoring his 100th goal of the practice, which Zane had made him do. His shoulders ached slightly and he was slightly tired. He smiled up at Zane "Finally finised the 100." he told his captain. He looked around the pitch feeling nervous for no apparent reason. When Niki flew down to them he narrowed his eyes at her and frowned. "What do you want Snape?" he growled angrily, drawing his wand. "Is she alone? She wouldn't come alone." he thought. He cast lumos and tried to penatrate the darkness but couldn't. "Are there more hidden in the darkness?" he thought.

"Sorry Ted, I was waiting for James' to get goal number one hundred," he said quietly, smiling at James as he landed next to them. "Nice one," he shuddered slightly in the cold night air, hoping they could get back to the common room and warm up by the fire, with the possibility of a crumpet or two. Or maybe not, he nice thoughts of an evening by the fire were shattered as Nikita flew down and landed next to them, greeting them politely, which was a slight surprise. If I know Niki, and I think I do, I know she wouldn't come alone. Not here. Ok if it was just one of us she would, but three? Surely not? "Fine thank you, and yourself?" he answered politely, seeing as though she had addressed them that way. I don't want any trouble. I just want an evening in the common room, is that too much to ask? Well yes it seems so... He watched James draw his wand and decided to follow suit. Not because it was Niki. No he just knew she hadn't come alone. It was the others, hiding in the darkness no doubt...
The setting was perfect. The darkness that surrounded the group was inevitable, and there would be no use in trying to see within a couple feet. It was a still, quiet night, although it wouldn't be to the depth of them being heard as the DE members took the Gryffindors captive. The eerie feeling ran through the pitch as Nikita's pale eyes swept across the three boys, with a smile upon her face.
Nikita rolled her eyes at James, acting innocent about his assumptions, "Please, like the DE would plan anything without Charlotte here at the moment. Plus, what's the point right now? Exactly. There is no point." She smirked, her lie sliding off her tongue clear as ice. She shrugged slightly, her voice continuing, "See Potter... you can learn from 'Lestrange' here. I asked you a simple, nice question, which should be responded to just as kindly."
Nikita smiled, looking back over her shoulder at Zane, to respond to him, "I'm fine, Lestrange. I truthfully didn't give a shit how you were doing though." She snapped, the lie again sliding off her tongue. She really did care to know how Zane was doing, though she couldn't show that emotion. She rolled her eyes at him, flipping her hair and turning to gaze at the Lupin boy. "What the hell is wrong with you? Cat got your tongue?"

James looked round again feeling the nervousness set in good and proper now. He really didn't like the fact that it was so dark. He was 99% sure that there were people out of sight and that this was an ambush. He glared at Niki again and said "I'm only polite to people I like Snape." curtly "I don't believe you. If I was someone planning an ambush I would take this night as an opportunity not to be missed, it's too dark so people can be hidden and it can all be by surprise so sorry, but I'm not falling for it." he paused "There is a point, the DE would have the opportunity to take out the top 3 NO members I see a very good point to attacking."

Ah back with the surnames again...it never gets old, does it? He resisted the urge to wave at Niki, knowing that the others would think he had gone mental, but of course she would know he was making a reference to the lovely little mark on her palm. As difficult as it was to resist temptation, he somehow managed it and simply said, "Of course not, I didn't think so." He listened carefully to James' reasoning, hmm yes he has a point. He's thinking the same thing I as am, well, was... yeah, anyway...surely it would be Charlotte doing the talking, like she always does? I mean every time before this, it's been her leading the conversation, which always turns into a trade of insults. Still...maybe this is Niki's big break. Ted doesn't look to convinced either, he glanced across at Teddy. He could barely see Niki, considering how dark it was, there was even mist rolling in from the Forest.
Ted eyes stood on Niki, while he knew the others were looking for followers. If there were any, they probably wouldn't show themselves right away. Ambush them when they were least expecting it. Ted decided to keep his mouth shut, just let the commanders take charge of the action. He could see the gears working in both their heads, especially since she brought up so many points. He knew exactly what she was trying to do, to get them to believe that there wasn't anyone around, just the three of them against her. So he decided to let her have her way, think it was exactly as it looked. "Drop the wand Nikita. It's three against one. You haven't a chance." he argued, his wand had twitched with anticipation.
Rolling her eyes at her cousin, Nikita responded slyly, "Like I give a shit if you don't like me, Potter." She snarled, listening intently to James while she turned her head to look at the other two boys next to her. She nodded, respecting his assumptions, but quickly turning his thoughts around, "You actually think we're that smart? Please. We get all our ideas from other people. Like we could come up with any of that on our own. And in case you haven't noticed, hardly any people have disappeared for a small number of days."
Nikita laughed gently, her voice breaking the creeping silence, "What would be the point in taking out the three top members of the NO? I mean that would take all the competition and fun out of this whole war shit." All of Nikita's words she had spoken ever since she arrived in the pitch had been lies. Nothing was true that she voiced, although she doubted anyone would realize her sly lies. She turned her body slowly to look at Teddy, her left eyebrow raised slightly above her eye. Her expression was indescribable, and hardly familiar.
She bent down, putting her wand in her boot carefully. She slowly got down on her knees, raising her hands up to the air, which in that case was the sign of her surrender. Which gave the flying DE members the signal to attack. Then Nikita waited. For the blood, the muffled screams, and the begging.
Noah almost squeal with excitement as Nikita fell to the ground, as planned. He looked over at Kianthra and Levi, looking just as pleased as himself. As her arms went up in the air, Noah swooped down towards the unexpected metamorphagus just as Kianthra and Levi did the same. He flicked his feet at the boy's head, since Ted could probably take him any day in a fist fight and sure enough, it did the trick. The boy fell to the ground with a gash in the back of his head. Noah looked triumphant as he placed one foot on the boys back, pulling his hood down and taking his wand out. "Incarcerous!" he muttered, watching as Ted's hands were tied together followed by a full body bind. "Like they say, the bigger they are, the harder the fall." he snickered, kicking the boy on the ground in front of him. He looked over at Nikita, who seemed to be just getting up. "So what do we do with them now?" he asked, a foot still on top of Ted's body.

There was the signal. The sign they had been waiting for. She glanced at Noah and Levi, trying not to cheer, which would take away the surprise element of the attack. As Nikita's arms went up into the air, Kia knew she had two options. Fly down and tackle her brother, which would work. Or make her way down leisurely, disabling the boy before she even touched ground. She went for the second option, the less stressful option. She smiled to herself, the poor boy won't know what's hit him. Well, he will, but it will be a bit too late... She started to descend at a slower rate than Noah had, legilimens. Yes it was sneaky, exploiting her brother's weaknesses, but that's what she did best. What was the point in wasting energy when you could get it done in half the time with a minimal amount of effort? The rush of thoughts, feelings and memories of her brother's mind was exciting. So much to choose from. She settled on his claustrophobia, making his vision go black and make it seems as though everything was closing in around him. A flick of the wrist and he fell to his knees, his eyes scrunched up in pain, unable to fight back due to the pressure on his mind. Kia had to admit, it wasn't as fun this way. There was no chance of any unforgiveables, her favourite of course. As her feet touched the ground, she made a slashing movement with her wand, resulting in cuts appearing on Zane's forehead and cheek. Well she couldn't have just left him unharmed now could she? Incarcerous, she thought as his hands were tied together. She nodded at Noah, smiling as he kicked the metawolf in the back. She turned to Niki, waiting for an answer to Noah's question.
