Well, I really didn't know where to post this, since it's more about the site then graphics, so I hope Zane doesn't mind me posting it here. if you do Zane, you ca just move this thread to a more appriate place.
I'd like to make you guys aware of some things I've done here today. And feedback would be wonderful. Seriously, I'm just the monkey that puts it all together, you guys look at this site just as much as I do. Something I like might actually look terrible, hence forth the need of feedback.
Alright, first thing I did was move the side bar filled with news, the staff, ratios and etc, into the global field, meaning you'll see it even when your positing or not. You guys like or not? Also, I've seen on some other sites people using side bars on both sides, so I'm working on figuring that part out.
Second thing I did was, well you can see it if you reply. Instead of the drop-down menu for colors, there is now a 11x4, or 4x11 I can't remember if you go by width or height first, but anyways, there is now a box of colors. More then the ones listed in the drop box. And although most of us don't use colors in our posts, I thought it looked neat.
Third thing I did will need a bit of explaining. If you look on my bar, like the icon part of my info with the posts and stuff, right below number of posts you should see Alignment. Now you may wonder what I did to do that, and it involved a very complicated code. Well not really, it was more of copying and pasting, BUT IT TOOK SOME EFFORT to change everything into our terms. Now I am aware that we do have it under our names as well, but what intriguied me was the little bar at the bottom, going from good to bad. I plan on fixing up the bar a little so it's not all over the place but yeah, we'll see how it goes.
Now how to make you have it? Glad you asked. Firs thing you have to do is go to your profile. Now, I'm sure most of you know already how to get to the Modify Profile screen since you all have icons, but in case your not I'll do it step by step. So you go to your Profile, then click on Modify Profile. Once you get there, scroll down to right under gender. The section is call Ethical Alignment. Why it's Ethical Alignment I have no clue, I just copied the code. Now I'll explain each group.
New Order Member: Pretty self explainitory, you are apart of the New Order and you will always fight along side of them.
Supports New Order: Your character supports the New Order, but doesn't fight along side of them. This could be perhaps a Gryffindor who doesn't like t fight, but believes in the New Order's ways.
New Order Neutral: Your character supports the New Order, but doesn't openly show it. Maybe kept a secret, or your character is afraid to be involved.
Neutral: Your character fights along no one. They don't want to be a part of the war or do not want to choose sides.
Death Eater Neutral: Your character supports the Death Eaters, but doesn't openly show it. Maybe kept a secret, or your character is afraid to be involved.
Supports the Death Eaters: Your character supports the Death Eaters, but doesn't fight along side of them. This could be perhaps a Slytherin who doesn't like t fight, but believes in the New Order's ways.
Death Eater: Pretty self explainitory, you are apart of the Death Eaters circle and you will always fight along side of them.
So yeah, that's each of the groups. So again, to change your Alignment go: Profile --> Modify Profile --> Ethical Alignment.
So that's all I've done, besides update the skins. They now show each champion, with the exception to the Slytherin Male Champion (we still need one guys!) and each have a nice background, much like the scarves. Oh, and the season and event threads links under News. And the new Staff images, I changed the size so they don't look as small. And I've added a new poll: harrypotterrpworld.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=graphics&action=display&thread=410. And I moved the "Hello X, you have Y messages, Z are new" thing so it's under the banner. But that's it. Wow I've been busy this weekend.
