Avery watched he patiently. He knew what would happen if Scorpius saw that. Avery probably wouldn't have a head anymore. He wasn't completely sure what would happen if others saw it though. Avery spoke immediately back to Corliss, "Yeah, I do actually. But, not so sure about what other people would do...?" Avery ended his last sentence with a question in his voice, hoping Corliss would answer.

Corliss smiled, winking at the boy sitting beside her. "Would you want Charlotte on our case?" she asked simply. She sighed, thinking about what Charlotte might say. She shivered.

"Oh... yeah, I'd rather not..." Avery sighed and laughed quietly. "That would be...bad...I guess you'd say." Avery looked away from Corliss, and then looked around the common room.

Corliss looked at the fire, her eyes sparking with the sparks the fire let off. "Yes, it would be bad." she said, looking back at him. She wanted to go to sleep, but with Avery there, there was no way she was going to leave.

Avery changed his position. He was now laying all the way down. He was on the very edge of the couch, that way there was just enough room for Corliss if she wanted to lay down too. He looked up at Corliss, and smiled. She was so beautiful...even without make-up on.

The small girl smiled, winking at Avery as she patted her calf. She stood up, making her way over to the fire. "Avery, what do you think would happen if that happened?" she asked, motioning toward the open space he left open for her. She laughed her charming laugh, letting her white teeth gleam in the light emitted by the fire. She sat down with her back to the fire and waited.

Avery looked at her confused. He wasn't positive by what she meant. "Do you mean, if someone saw that? Or what would HAPPEN?" Avery questioned her curiously. He watched her patiently waiting for a reply.

Corliss turned a light pink, cursing herself for her choice of words. ' Corliss Raven! How could you be such a twit!she scolded herself. She rubbed the side of her face, looking back at Avery, who was looking at her in confusion. "I am ever so sorry for being so... Well, stupid." she said, looking into his eyes. "I mean, and of course you know what I mean, if a certain someone saw that happen." she said just loud enough for him to hear. She smiled lightly as she pushed a few stray hairs from her pretty face.

Avery's expression turned sad. "No! You aren't stupid! Not at all." Avery said trying to cheer her up. "Well, which someone exactly?" Avery questioned her pretty much knowing the answer anyways.
