Teddy ran through the corridors, leading Rosie and Lily towards the Room of Requirements. After that battle, they knew it was a tough time to regain from that. Especially how Zane had been attacked. He had gotten the worst end of it. Worst the the many Cruciatus Curse that were fired, and hit at Rosie and him. Worst then him getting attacked by the Imperious Curse and trying to set one of the three unforgivable curses at his best friend Rosie. No, Zane.. well, to put it simply, Zane had gone completely bonkers.
"It's around this corner here." Teddy said. He had lifted the silence charm off the group, since he believed that the Death Eaters would stop following him now. They had been running around the seventh floor corridors for about ten minutes now, and the room was not showing up for them. Did it not realize how much they needed it right now? He looked at the blank wall for a moment, pleading mentally for a door to appear. Sure enough it did. He squeezed Rosie's hand in excitement and rushed forward towards it. The door opened for them as soon as he neared it, opening into a large room, a few beds scattered around the room of mirrors. Four to be precised. It must be making plans for them to stay the night. How nice.
Teddy swiftly moved to the nearest bed and placed Zane down gently, hoping not to do any more damage. At this point, he still realized he was holding Rosie's hand, and with a small blush in his cheeks let go and knelt down next to Zane's bed. He looked up to Rosie, she had the most knowledge in his area, surely she must know what to do now.
Out of breath and terribly aching from a stomach cramp she'd gotten a few floors back, Rosie waited patiently for the door to the Room of Requirement to appear. It had to know they were in the direst of situations at the moment. It was an enchanted room that read people's minds, after all. Breathing hard, she tried to ignore the heat of Teddy's hand on her own, which was craving her attention must more than the coolness of Lily's hand. Finally, the door opened and the foursome raced inside.
Blushing slightly, Rosie let go of Ted's hand and preoccupied herself by rushing over to the cupboards that had magically appeared as Teddy laid Zane down on a bed. Green eyes skimmed the labels of the bottles. Sleeping potion, sleeping potion, c'monnnn... Just as the thought came to her head, she found a bottle full of purple liquid, which had MILD SLEEPING & PAIN NUMBING POTION written across it in thick black letters. Snatching it off the shelf, Rosie hurried back over to the bed and measured out a spoonful before pouring it down Zane's throat.
Once the boy had drifted off into a dream-like state, she carefully peeled off her now-blood-soaked sweatshirt and then pulled away his shirt to reveal the nasty array of cuts on his chest. Wincing, she pulled out her wand, before biting her lip and calling Lily over. "Hey Lil? You remember the time your dad told us about when he did this same thing to Mr. Malfoy, right? Didn't he say something about Snape healing it with like a song?"

James woke up in his dormitory and saw that Teddy and Zane had dissapeared. He got up and looked round. He took out the Marauders map which his father had passed onto him and looked for their dots. As he couldn't see them he deduced that they were in the Room of Requirement as the Marauders didn't know about that room so it wasn't on the map. He checked for DE members on the map and saw the three in the entrance hall. He got up and dressed and walked quickly to the Room of Requirement and walked past it three times until the door came up. He knocked on it to get their attention "Hey Teddy, its me James." he whispered just loud enough for Teddy to hear
Lily held on tightly to Rosie's hand as they paced back and forth in front of the Room of Requirements. After awhile, she started to doubt that it would open. Thankfully, it did open and she was pulled into the room by her older cousin. Once inside, Lily walked over to one of the four beds. She felt she needed to stay out of the way. Tears started to slide down her rosy cheeks and she looked at Zane's wounds. Her breath caught as Rosie called her over to the bed. Rosie's question caught her by surprise. She searched her mind, milling through all the things her dad had told her. She looked at Rosie with a small smile. "Yes. I remember. He said Snape sang the song and it, somehow, stichted up Malfoy's cuts. I thought he was lying at first." she said in a small voice. "I can't remember what the words were. He sangg them to me after you left that day." Lily turned slowly when she heard her brother's voice. Her breath instantly lowered into shallow, slow intakes of breath. He couldn't see her crying. What would he tell their dad? She wipped her tears quickly and softly smiled at her brother. "Hello James." she said walking to her brother's side.

He was being carried somewhere, to where he didn't know. All he knew was that someone was carrying him, it must be Teddy. Some muffled voices of "It's around here somewhere" and footsteps echoing in what must have been a large space. He was suddenly lying on a bed, hmm it's comfortable here, we should stay a while.
The only thing that Zane was aware of was pain. Pain, and lots of it. Swirling purple clouds filled his mind, growing in size, shrinking, evaporating and reappearing. The occasional swirl of gold floated across which then transformed into a fluttering snitch. Zane tried to lift up his arms to try and grab it although he couldn't move his arms. The clouds turned into swirling pools of water as he felt as cool liquid slipped down his throat. Well, at least the pain is going. I might just lie here for a bit. There goes my jumper, I might need a new one of those and a shirt, I definitely need one of those he thought as the cuts were revealed to the cold air.
He could hear voices in the room beyond, thought they all merged into one. Loud panicked voices appeared distant, as if someone had muted the noise. Where am I? He knew that they were quite far away from the corridor. That reminded him of the battle that they had escaped, mind you the last thing he properly remembered was being hit by Kianthra's spell. He couldn't remember if Rosie was ok, he only remembered talking to her about crumpets, this made him smile.
"Damn it," Rosie muttered under her breath, staring, glassy eyed at the cuts on Zane's chest as she tried to think. Her mother had once told her the words of the song. Hermionie had, after all, heard about it from her friend and Rosie's uncle. Try as she might, she could only remember a few. These she strung together to form a sort of tuneless song, soft, slow, and swinging to a rythmless beat.
The words were complicated to remember, and Rosie was sure she'd pronounced some of them wrong. However, after her singing, a few of the cuts had healed, and the others had slowed their bleeding. But, even if this lightened the burden a great deal, Zane was still in dire condition, but his chances of dying were now slimmer than they had been.
Rosie smiled tiredly, muttering more to the practically empty room around her than anyone else, "Guaze and bandages. Muggle anti-infectent. Tourniquet." Immediately, the items appeared on Zane's bedside table, arranged in a neat and orderly fashion. Rosie grabbed the tourniquet and began to wrap it around Zane's bicep to stop the bleeding in the cuts that happened to be on his arm. There was a rather nasty slice, right over one of his vital veins, which was probably one of the primary sources for all the blood all over Rosie's sweatshirt. She looked up. "Hey Ted, could you pull this tight for me?" she asked, gesturing to the tourniquet.

His eyes swiftly drew to Rosie as she began to hum, trying to help her remember the words. He of course, must of missed this story. He had never heard of a song to heal wounds before, he must ask Harry about that next time he saw them. But who would of guess that, a sound to heal wounds. The wizardry community came up with something new every day. It was fascinating. He had always dreamed of creating a spell, but he never seemed to have enough imagination for it.
His eyes turned to his little 'cousin' and gave him his crooked smile. "Hey James, come in." he said, watching as he entered the room. Just as he did another bed formed out of thin air. "I believe that's the room tell you that you'll be spending the night here with us as well. I hope you haven't been out too long." Teddy scolding, trying to have some authority here. Harry after all did trust Teddy to look after his kids while they attended school here. "You're Dad or you're Mum will not be pleased with me if they hear about their son wandering the halls at night." he grinned playfully, turning back to Rosie as she asked him to help.
"Sure thing." he smiled, taking the two ends of the tourniquet and pulling them tight along the wound. "So.. do you think we should try to explain to Zane what's going on? I mean, he could just not have the ability to speak or make a reaction, but he might be able to hear us." Teddy suggested, his grey eyes locked onto hers.

James smirked and punched Teddy's arm playfully. "I woke up to find you guys not there and I looked at this.." he said holding up the map, "and you wernt on her so I deduced that you were here, and my Dad couldn't complain about me wanting to help my friends." He turned to Zane and Rosie and said "Snape put on essence of Dittany onto those wounds too." he said remembering the story. He saw Lilly and frowned knowing that she had just been crying but that she didn't want him to see. He put his arm round her and smiled at her.
Lily grimaced as she saw Rosie and Teddy working on Zane. It looked quite painful to say the least. "I think you might need to tell him. Like keep him imformed... Well, thats what /I/ think,"she said looking off into space. Lily could hear James and Teddy jocking in the background but her mind was on other things. It something happened Zane, what would happeb to the New Order? They had worked so hard to get to this level. 'Nothing can happen to him' she thought. Lily was still pondering this when she felt an arm around her shoulder. She glanced up to see her older brother looking quite smug about helping Rosie out. She rolled her eyes and focused on James. "Why did you come? I know you came for Rosie and Teddy, but did you notice I was gone too?"she whispered where noly James could hear.

James heard her and nodded "I wanted to know where you were. But mostly it was to find Zane and Teddy. I thought Zane was doing one of his late night practices until I saw that Ted had gone." he whispered back. He looked at Zane worried "I hope he is ok." he thought.
As James mentioned the Essence of Dittany, something clicked in Rosie's mind. She snapped her fingers, muttering of the Essence under her breath, and a bowl of it appeared on the bedstand. She took one of the bandages and dabbed it onto Zane's wounds. Steam erupted from them, and, in front of her eyes, they closed up. All that remained was red marks where the lines had cut him. Zane would probably have those scars forever. However, that wasn't what was worrying Rosie.
Zane's ribs had not healed with the Essence. So, although the wounds were healed, the ribs were still broken. The only solution to that was to use Muggle healing techniques. Which Rosie knew a bit about, as her mother had once mentioned them to her. Although a small bit of knowledge wasn't nearly enough, it was probably more than any of the other witches and wizards in the room. She thought of a Muggle book of medicine to the room, which summoned one into her hands.
"Ahh, just what we need," she muttered, flipping to the index and skimming her finger down the column, looking for the rib cage. She opened the book to the correct page before turning to her collegues. "All right, guys, I've gotten his cuts mostly cleared up. Thanks for that, James." She smiled her thanks to James before continuing. "Although, that nasty one on his arm doesn't seem to have gotten any better, to we'll still need the tourniquet." She glanced at Teddy, turning to fasten the tourniquet in place around Zane's arm. "Of course, we still need to worry about those ribs. Magic won't heal them, as they're cursed. Sooo, Muggle healing techniques are all we've got. Anyone know anything about Muggle medicine?"

James shook his head "Nothing sorry. All I know is that they have sergons who perform operations." He looked at Zane worriedly. He knelt down by Zane and whispered "Hey Zane hang in there mate." He looked at Teddy and said "so who actually attacked you. I'm guessing the terrible trio?"

More whispers, sounded like more people had arrived. Whoever they were, they were standing near. At least the pain was disappearing, well apart from an awful pain coming from his arm. More spirals told him that he was in that strange state in between sleep and awakeness. When the voices were loudest, he thought he could just sit up and talk to everyone in the room, apart from the fact that the potion prevented this.
He tried to say, "I'm fine, don't worry," but he couldn't seem to manage it. His brain was functioning perfectly, but the rest of him, mainly due to the potion, was out of his control. Fighting the potion took a lot of energy and he was always defeated. And there was the pain again, back for another round of battering. At least it was only in his ribs and arm. How many ribs? He reconed about five but he couldn't really tell. It was difficult to even count whilst in a state of semi-consciousness.
Suddenly Zane seemed so close to being awake that he had just about gained control once more. His eyes flickered open as he caught sight of someone who looked like Rosie. He couldn't really tell, his vision was blurred, but I'm pretty sure it's Rosie. After only a few seconds, his eyes closed once more as he returned into the state of semi-consciousness.
Teddy watched as his friends eyes flickered, a his breathe caught for a second before it died again. He looked back to Rosie with hopeless eyes and then tourniquet that was being wrapped around Zane's arm. He moved to help her again before he could reply to her. "Well, I was never one to know many Muggles, or their remedies for things so I don't think I can help out here. I think we're just going to have to give him some more rest." Ted concluded, looking back to his friend.
"Zane? I'm pretty sure you can hear me so here it goes. You got beat up pretty bad by your sister, she sent some pretty nasty curses our way, especially yours. Now, Rosie has gotten most everything healed again, but there is still a few ribs and stuff broken, so you're going to have to rest for a little while. More importantly, you're going to have to excuse yourself from Qudditch until this all gets better. Since your sister cursed you, we can't give you anything to make them speed up. The only thing to do is rest. You understand me? Don't going pushing yourself. And if I see you on a broom before you're healed I'm going to do worst then what your sister did to you. Alright Zane?" Teddy explained to him. Everything he said he was ready to back up. He could imagine himself just as Zane was about to take off running across the pitch and tackling him to the ground, most likely breaking his robs even further then before.
But at the shape Zane was in now, he believed that this was going to take a little while. He looked around at everyone. "We should all get some rest." he concluded, standing up. He looked over to Rosie, probably in more shock then the rest of them, and walked over to her side, crouched down and wrapped an arm around her shoulder. "He's going to be fine, you and I both know that." he whispered to her, his eyes locked on Zane's frail body.
At that moment in time, Rosie suddenly wished she'd paid more attention when her mother had been explaining to her the basics of Muggle remedies and medicine. How important it now seemed, even when it had then been so trivial and stupid. Now, she would give anything to know exactly how to fix Zane. Because, without him, she, Teddy, James, and Lily would be alone in running the NO, and none of them were as great of leaders as Zane was.
Sighing, Rosie crossed her arms tightly to her chest and watched as Teddy talked to a weak, frail-looking Zane. Suddenly, she noticed how terribly small he was. His arms compared with Teddy's looked as though they could break, especially with that torniquet wrapped so tightly around the left one. His skin was an unnatural, deathly pale, which made Rosie, pale as she was, seem tan in comparison. His hair was strangely dark against his skin, more so than usual, and his mouth was lolling open, giving her a clear view of his teeth. Even they seemed slightly grey next to that white of his skin. Rosie idly wondered how much blood he'd lost, even on the way up to the Room of Requirement.
As Teddy wrapped his arm around her, she rested her head on his shoulder. It was a stretching reach, as he was so much taller than her, but he was slouching a tad bit, which made his shoulder a little less of a reach. His voice soothed her little, only made her worry and fret more. "And what if he's not?" she asked, her voice little more than a mumble. "I can't lead the New Order, Ted. I'm not cut out for leadership. I'm better at the supporting part." There were tears in her eyes. She was scared as hell that he wouldn't heal properly, or worse, that he'd die.
