[Nikita Snape]

Niki watched Xavier under the water, the salty water not hurting her eyes one bit, her heart pounding so hard in her chest it hurt. She sighed, watching as he kicked his legs to break the surface of the still water once more. She followed immediately, not wanting to be away from him. She could feel the connection that they so quickly had formed. She wanted to be something more than this. She wanted it now. She wanted it as soon as possible if she couldn't have it at that very second. She sighed, taking in a deep breath as her head broke the surface. She found his face easily, her eyes growing wide. She laughed at his statement before they had escaped together under the water. "Oh yeah... it was sooo nice and you know it! Just don't do it to me..." She laughed quietly, a large smile stitched on her prefect face.

Nikita laughed soothingly as Xavier swept her up in his strong arms. She didn't squirm, surprisingly, instead she dipped her head back, her hair streaming in black strands in the dark Lake water. "Well... I have to admit I suck at this game, considering I'm no 'mind reader' like my friend Kia. So... I'm pretty sucky at this game. Please do not laugh at my suck-eyness." She laughed, clinging onto Xavier like a small child. She smiled up at him with her eyes, blurting out the first color that came to thought. "GREEN! Do, I have to be specific? 'Cause I can if I need to... no problem." She smiled gently up at him, her heart pounding in her chest from his gentle, but yet explosive touch. She could basically feel herself fuming from the inside, but not from the weary love craved, inside. She needed love. She needed someone to hold her and tell her everything would be fine. To tell her that they loved her that way she could say it back to them, with all of her love and passion.

[Xavier Anthony Blake]

Xavier smiled, and almost dropped her, acting like she had won. But, the moment she squrimed, even slightly, and dipped her slightly, her face going under. "No need to be specific. Two more tries" This was the most fun Xavier had had in a while. None of the stress that a normal relationship caused. No striving to be perfect, no worrying about what to say or do.
Xavier readjusted his grip, and looked down at his charge. Nikita smiled, warmly,a t him, even though it was freezing. Especially in the water at almost two in the morning. But, the warmth and caring of that simple little grin lit a fire in his heart, and warmed his entire body through, until he could feel his toes again. "Do ya want a hint? It's one of the house colors. Main, not the secondary ones." Xavier looked thoughtful. "I think that counts as two hints. Haha. Oh well. Guess again!"
The connection that had occured felt odd to a veteran of heartbreak, but it was also nice. Something rare that they had together. He could get away from the world with her. Be somerthing new. Not different, for that would be a lie, which Xavier was struggling to avoid with this one girl, but new. Like he didn't have to guard himself as tightly. Like he didn't have to cut off his heart, to avoid being hurt.

A slight laugh under the water was all Nikita needed to start coughing up a storm. Luckily, this did not happen though. She held her breath tightly, fighting the urge to crack up in Xavier's strong arms that were still wrapped securely around her, now holding her head above the surface of the water easily. She sighed, her pale eyes showing a specific interest deep within them. She pushed her lips to one side of her mouth, as if the question was very difficult. It wasn't at all though. At least not anymore. The hints had helped her quite a lot, surprisingly.

"Well... I'm glad I don't have to be specific. How about Yellow? For Hufflers?" Her voice was straight forward, focusing just on her answer, but her eyes showed she was totally focused in on Xavier. She dipped her head back again, wetting her striking black hair in the icy Black Lake water. Oh, how good the coolness of it felt against her pale skin, that matched her pale blue eyes.

[Xavier Anthony Blake]

Xavier frowned, raising an eyebrow as he suddenly flipped the girl into the water. Her wet hair stung his face as it whipped past, and he raised an eyebrow as Nikita came up. "Dang, I assumed you'd guess Hufflers last. Haha. That was right, but I still wanted to flip you. Oh well. Next question...I forget which number we;re on. Oh well. I guess I'll ask."
He shivered, slightly, in the cold water, his toes pretty much numb. He wondered how long it would take for him to get the pneumonia, and shrugged the thought away. Finally, Xavier asked her, "What're your hobbies. Random question, I know, but, I guess it'd be nice to know what you're all about, and stuff. What do you do for fun?"

Nikita laughed, gasping in air before she flipped once more. She smiled up at Xavier, listening to him intently. "That WAS a random question, love. Hmm... well I love swimming in this icy cold water, and I love too be in darkness. Those are my two best friends. Cold, and Dark. I'm just that way though. I also enjoy just thinking though, oh and gushing about hot guys." She giggled, her eyes sparkling with pride. There was only one guy floating around in her mind on that particular day though. I'm sure you can guess whom that is. Yup. You guessed it. Xavier. The sexy beast, whom she had fallen for very, very quickly.

She smiled, rolling her head back swiftly. "Hmm... my turn. Do you really hate love at this particular moment in your life?" She asked, half hoping that he said that his love life rocked. But, she knew the chances of that, so she just rolled her head back again, sighing gently. "You know... I do believe my toes are about to fall off, so why don't we got outta here... want to?" She asked quickly.

Xavier chuckled, and shook his head. "No...not at this particular moment. I'd say it's going pretty well, so far. I'm slightly worried, but I guess old habits die hard." He looked upward, his palms resting on the water. He began quickly distracted by the ways the stars were still zooming across the sky, like they had someplace better to be. Better to go.
Xavier couldn't think of anyplace better than this moment, right now.
He became so distracted, it took the Slytherein a few moments to realize that Nikit ahad suggested to get out. He totally agreed, seeing as he had already lost feeling in his feet. Chuckling, once more, he pulled Nikita back up into his arms, and began walking his way out of the cold waves. Once they were on shore, he wished, instantly that he was back in the water, for it was cold out here, too, thoguh it had been warm before he had decided to take a dip.
"Okay, now I'm even more cold" Xavier said, allowing NIkita to gently hop out and onto the ground. "But, oh well. My turn for a question...Uh...If I were in the NO, would you still like me?" He asked, suddenly. It didn't really bother him that she would most likely lie through her teeth, just to make him happy. He wasn't even really sure why he had asked her that. But it was out, and that was that.

Nikita's eye brows furrowed, as she responded to his answer, "You think I'm going to break your heart..." No, it wasn't a question for she already knew the answer. She hoped out of his arms, pulling her clothes back on quickly. Yes, indeed it was a lot colder out of the water than inside of it, but she did not voice this. Her mind was wandering around his question, which made her mouth drop open. She sat down next to him, snuggling against him trying to keep warm. "Okay now THAT is sooo unfair! I'm not answering it. Sorry." She said stubbornly. She wasn't really sure if she would still like him, although part of her heart told her that she would.

Niki smiled sheepishly up at Xavier, her eyes basically begging for him to kiss her right then and there. Finally, she spoke, burying her eyes into the very depth of his. "My... turn," She spoke exasperated, her voice cracking, "If you could, would you kiss me right now?" She asked, not breathing a single bit. She held her breath tightly in her chest, waiting for his response.

Xavier wrapped his arm around Nikita, and smiled. "S'okay, guess I can't blame you for not wanting to answer. Thanks for not lying at the least" He had already managed to wriggled his pants on, for he, secretly, was not fond of being seen in his boxers, at least when he wasn't in the water.
Awkwardly, he pants were already pretty much soaked through. It would have been a good idea to magically dry the fabric before he threw it on, but, for some odd reason that was most likely related to the presence of a certain lady, he couldn't remember the words.
Xavier could feel the icy blue eyes watching him, studying him. But, it took much effort on his part to meet that gaze. He was afraid, suddenly, shying away from her glance. He had never felt shy infront of a girl, before. It just wasn't in his blood. In his genes. His family was famous for their boldness. But, they were also famous for being entirely made of Hufflers. So, he wasn't exactly like his family.
But the thought didn't make him feel any better about his sudden fear of gazing into Nikita's eyes. Moments passed, and the silence dragged on. It felt like someone had tied a rope to Xavier's head and was tugging it just so he'd be forced to look at the girl to which he had taken quite a liking to. Though he was strong, he couldn't resist the pressure, and he twisted to look at her, realizing why he had been afraid. Her very gaze penetrated into him, and he couldn't move. A kind of magic, though different from that taught at the castle that loomed in the distance behind them. He was trapped in this girl's eyes, and he doubted he'd ever get out.
Nikita's question had barely penetrated his hearing, when he leaned forward and kissed her. He hadn't even really heard her, but the meaning was clear. He kissed her like he was terrified she was going to leave. Like he was afraid she was going to dsappear and take a part of him with her.

It seemed like a billion years before Xavier looked deeply into her pale eyes. She was about to speak again, to say he didn't have to answer the question, but her mouth was trapped shut as she watched him lean forward. Her eyes widened and she didn't have the strength to move, or even breath. She was frozen solid as Xavier's lips met hers, obviously with quite caution. Her eyes dropped under the feeling of his lips against hers, and her whole world crashed under her feet. No, this was not a bad crash. It was special and yearning. She was different now. It seemed in the short time of the kiss that she had changed... a good change. Her mind was focused with blurry thoughts about Xavier, her heart pounding very hard underneath her chest.

Niki's hand found Xavier's cheek quickly, feeling peaceful under the warmth of it. This slight touch was meant to tell him that she was here. Never to leave his side. Finally pulling away from the kiss, her face floated two inches in front of his. Her eyes were soft, and... scared. She was breathing hard, her hand still resting gently and possessively on his red cheek. "I think I got my answer." She spoke quietly, her eyes not daring to move out of the depth of Xavier's. She knew that something special had gone on between the two at that very second. Something that couldn't be changed... ever. Niki was different, her emotions for Scorpius completely gone... gone forever. Her heart was now under Xavier's sweet, caring possession.

All the fear left him, though his shyness came back in full, as the two seperated. He could feel Nikita's cold hand on his cheek, letting him, silently, know that she was not about to leave him anytime soon. The idea both comforted Xavier and confused him, mainly because he had never felt like this before, his heart fluttering in a whirl, skipping beats, and butterflies rose up in his stomach, trying to break free with all their might. The sensation was foreign to him, but not in a hostile way he might have expected from the many horror stories he had ever heard about romance.
"So...." He smiled, and blushed, brilliantly. The blood warmed his face, making Nikita's hand stand out on his skin even more. He could think of no questions anymore. None that wouldn't ruin this moment in time. "So, Miss Nikita..." Xavier trailed off, his voice squeaking. This was a strange feeling, and he couldn't get over how alien it was. Not in a bad way, but alien all the same. Like he suddenly was smarter than any Ravenclaw, but wasn't sure how. "Is this how it's supposed to feel?"

Eyes falling, Nikita laid her head onto Xavier's chest. She sighed brilliantly, her heart slow but defiant. A tear trickled down Niki's cheek as she her emotions got the best of her. She was falling in love. It scared her... scared her to death, but she couldn't get away from the fright that bundled up low in her stomach, making her body tense up. Slowly, the tension released as she felt the warmth of Xavier's body on hers. She sighed, flipping her pale eyes open once again. "I hope so... 'cause if it's not, why the hell are we still looking? Seems to me this is as good as it gets. How could I feel more... more... in love with another person?" Her voice cracked as her eyes laced into Xavier's.

Continuing on to her own question, Niki cleared her throat gently. "Baby... do you think it's possible that anyone else in the world is... doing this very same thing at this very same moment?" Her voice was at it's most loving tone, making her words sound seductive, but weak. She sighed, her pale eyes cold, but gentle. She placed her hand on his warm cheek again, smiling at the fact that he was blushing. "Aww, love there's nothing to be embarrassed about. Trust me on this." She smiled again, her eyes shining brightly.

Xavier wrapped his arms around the girl and looked back at the black waters. This was such a strange feeling, and it utterly terrified him. He never felt like this, and it was almost painful. The Slytherein had a good reason for his earlier fear, but it was nothing compared to this.
He could feel a suddenly cold spot on his chest, and noticed that Niki was crying. "Shh...shh. You're okay. What's wrong? Are you okay, babe? Shh" He listened to her reason, feeling reassured, but he still felt strange. Worried.
"I don't think so" He answered her question. "You, me? We're one of a kind. I swear, if there was more than one, then this world would be one screwed up place. Plus, you are one unique chica. Nothing could change that. No matter what"
He frowned, thinking of a deep, complicated question, something to still this odd emotion, but could only think of somethign simple. "What's your favorite colour?"

Eyes growing even softer, Niki looked up at Xavier her expression indecipherable.Her voice was hushed, but somehow loud with it's tone, "No I'm not okay! This feeling is scaring the shit outta me, Xavier!" Taking her eyes away from his, she looked down at his chest, her hand resting on it. "But... I do love it when you call me, 'babe'. It sounds... sexy." She smirked, already feeling better about everything. Her heart was beating heavily underneath her ribs, and it as very dominate there. It echoed in her mind, sending waves of stress throughout her mind. She listened intently to Xavier, her eyes welling up with tears that she had been suppressing for many years. Finally they were being tipped over the edge by Xavier's words, and the feeling she got by being around him.

Sighing deeply, Nikita looked back up at Xavier with tired, love drawn eyes. "Ahh.. I suppose so. You really think I'm unique? Seriously? Me? Unique?" Her voice was sudden, shock stricken. "Hmm... if you say so, but I'm not agreeing." She smirked, a smile edging itself across her face. "Favorite color? Really? I LOVE IT!"She laughed, beginning to answer timidly. "Well... my hidden favorite color would have to be... either aqua or turquoise. Eh? But my public favorite color would either be emerald green, or black." Laughing again, Nikita's hand slid into Xavier's easily. "This is... nice. Don't you think? I guess that can count as your question...?" She smiled a weak smile up at Xavier, happy that she had been here on this particular night.

Xavier let out a shy smile. "Well"[/]He began with a quite chuckle. "It was the only thing I could think of. And, of course I think you are unique. I doubt anyone could pull anything off with as much pizazz as you do."
He smiled as she revealed a deep dark secret. Well, actually not that dark, but nonetheless a secret. "You're favorite colour is Aqua or Turquoise? Well, I guess underneath all of your typical green-ness --and I mean that as a compliment, or perhaps a neutral, I'm not quite sure-- you do seem like a turquoise kind of lady."
Xavier nodded, in response, and he seemed slightly dazed, as though he had just dodged death, and the shock had not quite yet settled in. "Yes, this is nice. Wow, Never saw that coming. I'm glad what's-her-name broke up with me. If not for that, this never would have happened."
The slytherin fell silent, and heard a slight rustle, like papaers in a notebook blowing in the wind, making him remember his own little secret. "I can trust you, right?" Xavier asked, knowing the answer was yes. "Do you wanna know a secret, and that counts as a question, me thinks."

Obviously flattered by his simple comment, she fanned herself dramatically with her right hand. Her hair blew back viciously, making her eyes water. She stopped shortly after doing the quick motions with her hands. She eyed him seductively, her eyebrow slightly raised in response to his first couple statements. "Why thank you Xavier. That was very kind of you." She laid her head on his chest gently, her words flowing slowly and dramatically out of her mouth, "You have something rather special about you too though, love. You're the only guy that can make me feel like this... lucky you." She giggled, her arms wrapping around him lovingly.

Again, Nikita Freya Snape's heart thudded dramatically, and heavily underneath her pale chest. She looked up at him adoringly, a rather large smile etched across her face. "Ahh... I'll take that as a compliment, Blake. I should take that as a compliment... right?" She asked, her voice sounding, curious, but knowing at the same time. Her pale eyes sparkled up at him, whilst her voice was heard sounding somewhat breathless. "Trust me... I didn't either. Oh and if you still would've been with that girl... I would've gotten rid of her..." She paused quickly to wink at him, "Trust me on that... I have my Sly ways, love. Hopefully you do too."

Nikita leaned closer to Xavier, pecking him on the cheek lightly. Her heart did a little skip and jump at the feeling that rushed through her, sending a shiver up her spine. She was slightly shocked though by him asking if he could trust her. "Psh, yahh... you can trust me. DUH." She laughed gently, kind of apprehensive about what his secret was going to be. Her eyes got wide, and she talked again, her words quick, mushing into each other. "Yes I want to know the secret! Go on! Tell me!" She paused, talking again, revising her last statement into a question, "Will you tell me the secret? There's your question, babe."
