Nikita was sitting down on the fifth floor with her potoins book laying in her lap. She had come up here, for some privacy, and to get away from the rukkus in the Common Room. She didn't feel like going to the Library that day, so she walked up the stair, until she spotted an empty floor. Nikita had a major potions test coming up, and she wanted to make an excellent grade on it. No, she didn't really need the studying, because she was the best at potions, but she wanted to make the other kids bask in her presence. She already knew that some of the kids were jelous of her amazing skills at potions, and that was the way Nikita liked it. She wanted more of it though. Nikita closed her book softly, as her stomach growled for food. It was a good thing she had brought an apple in her bag. Nikita grabbed the apple, and sunk her teeth into it. Licking her lips she put the apple core back into the plastic bag she had put it in earlier. Then she picked her Potions book back up, and started reading once more.

James was comming back from a three hour quidditch training. He was wearing his quidditch robes and carrying his firebold over his shoulder. He walked up the staircase on the way to Gryffindor tower and nearly fell over Nikita who he didn't realise was sitting on the stairs studying potions. "Niki why the hell are you sitting there? You could get yourself trampled on are you that stupid? Hang on, the answer to that is yes you are." he said scowling.
Nikita laughed evily as James almost tripped over her. Then she heard him insult her. How dare that slime ball call me stupid!
Nikita thought angrily to herself. Why is he the one talking? I'm not the stupid one here. He's the one that wasn't watching where he was going. Nikita shook her mind of her thoughts, and decided to actually talk to him. "Well actually, I wasn't the one that almost got hurt here, now am I Potter? You should have been watching where you were going. It's not my fault. I was just studying..." Nikita said the last sentence in her pretend sweet voice, as if she was innocent. She turned back to her book, through with talking to the Potter boy. She was pretty sure that he wasn't done talking to her though. She just kept her ears alert waiting for him to speak.

James scowled "I wasn't expecting anyone to be so stupid as to sit on the stairs to study. What's wrong with the library for studying or even your commen room with your Death Eater friends? They can help you study or are you so supreme that library's and commen rooms are below you." he said angrily with every word dripping with sarcasm. "And if I tripped over you you would be hurt too so we both almost got hurt and it is your fault." he added looking round to see whether any of his friends were around.
Nikita rolled her eyes at James. Sure, it's MY fault. Nikita thought to herself sarcastically. Why did everyone blame stuff on her? Well... they did have a reason. They knew she wouldn't care if she got into trouble. She would just laugh. Nikita looked up at James, and laughed at him, for no particular reason. "What's your problem? Are you PMSing? I'm sorry... I always knew you were girly..." Nikita half smiled at him, not finishing her sentence, and then looked back to her book. ... just like your slimy father. Nikita finished her sentence, in her head, not daring to say it out loud. She knew James would go balistic.

James scowled at the comment and looked away thinking of a comeback, "Dad told me that your father never washed his hair, tell me what it is like living without shampoo in the house? And for the record I don't PMS. In case you haven't noticed Nikita I am a boy and we tend not to get periods." He looked up the stairs wondering whether this conversation would get nasty.
Nikita's jaw clenched tightly when she heard James talk about her father. She stood up, letting the book fall hard against the stone floor. "Don't you dare talk about my father, Potter. We don't want to bring yours into this. You know my mother and I shampoo our hair. We have shampoo all over the house, thanyou very much!" Nikita shook off her anger, and then continued, "Well, then I guess your not a boy, since it seems that your on yours." Nikita smiled at James, and then argued with herself whether to sit back down.

James smiled and said "Why should I be afraid of you bringing my father into this, at least he never killed anything or anyone unlike yours. And I was joking about the shampoo thing. And I am only pissed because I am tired from a four hour Quidditch practice and from talking to you." He watched her and wondered if she was going to attack him for the things he was saying and gripped his wand tightly beneath the robes ready to defend if need be.
Nikita cocked her head to the side, looking into his eyes. "Are you really that stupid? Your father did kill someone..." Nikita paused before continuing, "He killed LORD VOLDEMORT. He killed the most important man in the world. The darkest Wizard to ever live, and your father had to kill him off." Nikita's face only showed hatred, as she spoke these words. Nikita hated all of the Potter's. She couldn't stand them.

James considered this. He didn't care about that in fact he was proud of it. "Technically he didn't because it was Voldermorts own curse that killed him. My father was just defending himself, and before you ask yes I do know about the whole story and the horcruxes, but the killing curse was not cast by my father." he said still glaring at her.
Nikita looked at James with a blank expression. "Don't try to make your father sound better by saying that. It wont work. Trust me, there's no way I'm going to take him seriously. Also, you will NEVER be as good of a wizard as he was. NEVER." Nikita turned her back on James and picked up her book once more, from the ground.

James scowled. He always tried so hard to become as good as his father and it had always been a slight weakness. He watched her turn away and get her books "What's that supposed to mean Snape?" he hissed feeling his temper rise again. He hated her and personally didn't consider her a part of his family at all. He put his hand in his quidditch robes and gripped his wand ready in case this became a fight.
Nikita turned back to James, a smirk on her face. She loved making him angry, it pleased her very much. Then she narrowed her eyes, making the smile leave her face. "It means your a crappy wizard. Well, compared to your father at least. He must be so proud of you!" Nikita let a smile sneak up on her face, as she said her last sentence. "He must be so proud of his son, failing." Nikita cocked her head to the side looking at James, waiting for him to strike back. The smile was still plastered on Nikita's face, showing her evilness.

James scowled as his temper was rising to boiling point. He took a few deep breaths and said "I am not a crappy wizard, I am a better wizard than you will ever be. I have just been accepted into auror training, only one in every 1000 applicants get into the training." he gripped his wand tighter ditermined not to be the first to strike "And I am not a failier." he hissed "Shame you aren't as brave and honourable as your father was, if he saw you now Niki he would be dissappointed."
Nikita listened to James, happily. She had made him angry. Nikita smiled softly. "You might want to open your eyes James, because I'm already a far better wizard than you are. You're also a failure, don't try to deny it." Nikita spoke, not letting her temper rise, as he spoke of her father. "I'm not as brave an honorable as my father? Yeah right, he's not disappointed in me. Trust me on that."
