Corliss listened intently to Avery. When she realized that he was falling for her her eyes widened a little. She turned her head as tears formed in her eyes. 'Could it be? Can I be falling for someone other than Miles?' she asked herself. She had always wanted to be with Miles, but now that Avery had brought his feelings forward, her heart pounded in her throat.
The blond felt his hand cover her smaller one. The warmth of his hand filled her limb and continued through her body. She smiled softly as she turned back to him, tears on the verge of spilling over. She blinked them away in a flash. "Well, that is good to know. Well, good to know because I have already fallen for you." she whispered.

Avery couldn't believe what he had just heard. He watched Corliss's eyes glisten with tears but she was strong enough not to show them for long. He smiled one of his biggest smiles ever, and said, "Well...wow. Good thing I spoke up, isn't it?" He continued smiling and talking, "I'm glad I woke up early today...It's kinda like fate...isn't it?" His hand was still laying firmly on top of hers, the heat growing. The love growing.

Corliss laughed, Avery always made her smile. "Yes, seeing as though we now know how we feel about each other, I would call it fate." she said, watching as older Slytherins entered the room. A chill went down her spine. "I'm glad you woke up early too." she said softly. The heat growing between their hands made Corliss smile. She straightened her back and shoulders, showing that she had to be treated with respect.

Avery laughed quietly, and said, "Okay, so It's nine o'clock in the morning, It's Saturday, and we already ate breakfast. Where should we go? Well, of course if you want to go somewhere?" Avery said his tone soothing. He looked at Corliss waiting for an answer...

Corliss pushed another stray hair from her face, eying the boy sitting in front of her. She put her elbow back on the long table and rested her chin on her fist. She eyes danced in excitement. "Well, lets see. Seeing as tough it is nine and it is in fact a Saturday, how about we go to... Ah! I've got it! Lets go to the Black Lake." she said with a huge, and charming, smile.

Avery eyed her, and smiled. "Yeah!" Avery began. "That sounds perfect!" Avery smiled wider. "Should we go?" Avery began getting out of his seat.

Corliss leaned her side against the side of the table. With a grin, the blond pushed away from the table, standing up and looking at Avery. She wore a questioning expression. "Shall we?" she asked.
