Corliss sat up in her bed. Everyone was still asleep on this Saturday morning. Due to nightmares, Corliss had awoken with a jump. 'Stupid, dreams.....' she thought laying her Head on the white pillow that lay on her bed. She pulled the white sheets over her head, in an attempt to rest some more. Failing in her attempt, the girl threw the silver comforter and sheets off her and swung her legs over the bed.
Corliss rested her head in her hands as she debated the pros and cons of going to eat. Yes, she was hungry, but it was only eight. She had, well lets just say had 'too' much 'fun' the previous night. Wearily, Corliss stood and walked over to Cherry wood vanity. She sighed as she began applying her make-up. Even if you were just going to breakfast, you had to look you best. After applying the last sweep of mascara to her blue green eyes, she moved, feet dragging, over to the wardrobe.
She selected a black, cotton tee and pulled it over her head. It hugged her body perfectly. She grabbed her favorite pair of dark denim jeans and slipped them on. Putting on her black flats was the easiest part of her outfit. "For goodness sake. Why must I wake so early?" she muttered under her breath. Corliss pulled her blond hair back in a loose pony and headed for the door. She stopped short of her destination and turned back to her bed. She quickly made it up, her parents had taught her well, and put her wand in her back pocket. Sighing, the girl made her way to the Common Room.
Seeing no one there, Corliss slipped out of the commons and out into the dungeon. Smiling, she made her way to the Great Hall. TO her surprise, it was filling with more students than expected. Mainly Ravenclaws and Gryffindors. A few Hufflepuffs and Slytherins sat at their tables, talking in hushed voices. Corliss took her seat and grabbed a piece of French toast. She sighed and cut a small portion of her breakfast. I sure hope someone else wakes up.
