Corliss looked around the classroom. It wasn't as if she was trying to pay attention to the speech Avero was giving. She saw many of the DE members, along with the NO members. The sixth and seventh years were together in this advanced class. She drummed her fingers, absentmindedly, as she looked at the Gryffindors. She saw Miles, but made no attempt at getting his attention. She returned her attention to Nikita and Avery, who were flanking her. She grinned at Niki, passing her a tiny piece or parchment. Good God! This lesson is getting on my nerves. I can't wait until Avero yells at one of the Gryffindors for being to chummy with each other. Will you fill me in on what is going on? I haven't paid any attention to the old fool.' She smiled as he looked up at her. "Is there something you need to ask me, Miss Malfoy." Avero asked, eying her quill. She put it down quickly and put on a smile. He had told them there was no need for notes, but who cared. "No sir. I was just taking some notes. I know you said we didn't need to, but I thought it best to try and remember this to my best ability." she lied smoothly. He nodded and returned to the lecture he had began. It seemed they were talking about Werewolves. She yawned and went back to not paying attention.
Nikita looked up at Corliss, and smiled back at her. She grabbed the parchment from Corliss, and hid it underneath her. She looked up aturned her attention back to Avero, as he spoke to Corliss. Nikita rolled her eyes at him, knowing he wouldn't see. God, he annoyed her very much. Once Avero resumed, she took the note out from under her and began reading it. 'Good God! This lesson is getting on my nerves. I can't wait until Avero yells at one of the Gryffindors for being to chummy with each other. Will you fill me in on what is going on? I haven't paid any attention to the old fool.' Nikita looked up from the peace of parchment and back at Avero. He wasn't paying any attention, whatsoever, to her, so she decided to write back. She grabbed her quill with her right hand, and dipped it into the raven black ink. She pressed it against the parchment, and starting writing. 'And, you think I have been paying attention to him? Yeah, right. I never pay attention to him, hardly any one does in this bloody class. Don't get me wrong I love DADA, but... it can be so boring, and stupid sometimes... I already know everything he's teaching us! And, like I care about some werewolf. Oh, God no!' Nikita tapped Corliss on the shoulder, and passed her the note, swiftly. She looked back up at Avero, pretending to listen to him.

Corliss watched as a stupid sixth year Gryffindor fell asleep as Avero continued his boring lecture. She grinned as the other Slytherin laughed. She saw Avero looking at the boy. "Mr. Robertson..... Mr. Robertson... MR. ROBERTSON!" the fool yelled, making the Slytherins laughed harder. The boy woke with a start. He said his 'I'm sorry.' before getting dentition. Corliss smiled, glancing at Avery. She felt the light tap on her shoulder. She grabbed the parchment and slid it under her opened book. Avero walked up the isle, looking the the girls. She smiled at him, looking perfectly innocent. "Is there something you need to tell the class Miss Malfoy? How about you Miss Snape?" he asked. Corliss smiled. "Oh, there is something I would ,like to say! I wanted to let everybody know that I think you are doing a great job." she lied. The Proffesor smiled and left her alone. She grabbed the note and opened it quickly. Oh, God no!' The Slytherin girl smiled, picking up her quill again. She dipped it into her navy blue ink. She wasn't a fan of the black ink. She had no idea why, but she thought the navy blue was prettier. 'Well, you do tend to pay more attention than I do. I find it hard to stay awake, but I did find it rather funny that the Gryffindor boy did fall asleep. Werewolves are one of the most stupid things that were ever created if I do say so myself.' Corliss slid the note over to Nikita, watching Avero talking with little interest. No doubt they wouldn't have homework. When they did, it was always very easy. She smiled, wondering what the rest of the day would hold.
Nikita didn't pay any attention to Avero, as he questioned, her and Corliss. She would let Corliss handle it. Nikita took the note from Corliss, and placed it underneath her. Then she looked around the room, not quite ready to read it. She saw James staring at her, and she gave him a dirty look. Then she noticed Scorpius. She looked at him, sorrow filling her eyes. She wanted him... bad. She looked away from him, scared he would catch her staring at him. Nikita took the note out from underneath her. She looked down at the navy blue ink, Corliss had written in. She read it carefully, and quickly. She glanced up at Avero, making sure he wasn't looking, before dipping her quill into the ink. 'I swear, this is the most boring DADA lecture I have EVER heard. Why can't he make it fun? Or even better, why can't this class be Potions? God, I love potions. Luckily, I'm the best one in that class also. I guess it's in my blood. I just love potions, don't you? I think that you're the second best in the class.' Nikita threw the paper over Corliss' head, and it fell onto her desk, making a loud sound. Nikita meant to do this. She loved making Avero angry. Nikita also knew that Corliss would be able to hide it. Nikita looked up at Avero, waiting for him to erupt. A smile was starting to grow on Nikita's face, as his turned a deep shade of red. "Here it comes..." Nikita whispered to Corliss, excitement filling her voice. "This will be interesting." Nikita let her smile show, feeling no need to hide it.

Corliss watched as Nikita looked at Potter and then her brother. She knew that Nikita liked him... A lot. She smiled happily. She looked back at James, who was still staring at them. She gave him a not so sweet smirk. He turned back around. She laughed softly. Avery seemed to be the only one paying attention. She snickered. She looked at Scorpius and caught his attention. She smiled. 'God, I hate this class!' she mouthed, knowing he would know what she said. She looked at Nikita as she threw the note over her head, She quickly looked down at it. Good thing she had thought about this. She had written a note before class and had in folded on her desk. Quickly, she slipped it off her desk. It landed with a tiny thud in her book bag. She grinned, looking at the red faced man. "Oh, hell. You've done it now!" she muttered. She saw Scorpius looking at her, a smirk on his face. She rolled her eyes at him, looking back at her friend. She gave Avero a huge smile, he wouldn't give her dentition. She laughed softly.
Nikita smiled at Avero also. Then she looked at Scorpius, and smiled sweetly. She turned back to Avero, and looked at him questioningly, cocking her head to the side. "What's wrong, Professor?" Nikita looked at Corliss, and smiled. She also knew that she wouldn't get detention. Avero, loved Corliss, and Niki. They had no idea why though. "Oh, but I just had to. There was no stopping it." Nikita whispered to Corliss, her lips barely moving. She knew Avero couldn't tell she was talking. Nikita leaned back in her chair, listening to Avero, "What was that noise? It sounded like... parchment, hitting a desk... possibly a note?" Avero paused, as he walked towards Niki, and Corliss, eying them curiously. "Was it, Miss Malfoy?" Avero turned his gaze on Corliss, then back on Niki. "Miss Snape? Is there a note?" Nikita looked at him, and put her hand to her heart, acting like she was hurt, by the words he had spoken. "Why would I pass a note Professor? I was paying attention to you! I mean, how could I not? When your so... interesting." Nikita trailed off looking at Avery innocently. "I mean, I heard the noise too... but I heard it from over there..." Nikita's finger pointed straight at James. James looked bewildered. Avero walked over to James, and Nikita gave James, a wicked smile. Avero opened James' notebook, and found one of James' old notes. Avero picked it up in his hand. "What's this? A note? I believe that will be detention for a week, Mr. Potter, and also ten points will be taken away from your house." James was about to argue with Avero, but decided it would be best not to. Nikita smiled at James, and he gave her an angry glare in exchange. Avero walked back up to the front of the room and began his lecture once more.

Corliss waited, hoping Nikita had a good plan."You better hope he doesn't catch you." she said back, knowing Avero wouldn't know either one of them was talking. She heard Avero address her. She smiled. "No sir. I didn't have a note. Of course, I didn't." she said. She looked sideways at Niki as she began to tell Avero what happened. She smiled, not know what else to do. She looked over at her brother, who was, of course, laughing to himself. She sighed. She barely caught the part about James. She coughed to cover the laugh she erupted in. AS Avero looked over at James, Corliss gave Nikita a high-five. She grinned as he took 10 points from Gryffindor. She smirked at James. "Nice save there, Miss Niki. I could have done better, but...." she joked, putting her hand under the table. She found Avery's larger hand and took hold of it. He looked down at her and she flashed him a smile and a wink. She grabbed the note from her book bag and read it as Avero went back to teaching. 'I swear, this is the most boring DADA lecture I have EVER heard. Why can't he make it fun? Or even better, why can't this class be Potions? God, I love potions. Luckily, I'm the best one in that class also. I guess it's in my blood. I just love potions, don't you? I think that you're the second best in the class.' She stared at the note. Corliss sighed and dipped her quill back in her ink. 'Well, I was thinking more along the lines of we are the same. Neith one of us is better than the other. You know that. Bloody hell, we have this conversation all the time! Well, I like Potions the best.' Corliss used her other hand to hand the note to Niki. This time she was smarter, she gave it to her under the desk. She smiled and went back to acting like she gave a flip about Werewolves.
Nikita leaned forward where her head was right beside Corliss'. "I highly doubt you could have done better than that, Cor." Nikita smirked, and then leaned back on her seat. Nikita looked over at Scorpius, he was still trying not to laugh. Nikita let out a laugh herself, but quiet enough, that way Avero didn't hear. She turned back to look at Avero, pretending that she was listening. Then she grabbed the note that was in Corliss' hand. She read it carefully, already dipping her quill into the ink. 'Well, I was thinking more along the lines of we are the same. Neith one of us is better than the other. You know that. Bloody hell, we have this conversation all the time! Well, I like Potions the best.' Nikita ran her left hand through her silky black hair, as she read the note. She looked around the room, and noticed James watching her intently. He looked very angry, but she didn't blame him. 'What the hell do you want?!' Nikita mouthed the words to James, hoping he was smart enought to tell what she was saying. James just rolled his eyes at Nikita, and turned back to Avero. Nikita shrugged her shoulders, and returned her attention to the letter. 'True, we have had this conversation too many times. Let's not have it again. So, how are you Corliss? Wow! I haven't asked any one that question in a really long time!' Nikita tapped Corliss on the shoulder and passed her the note.

Coast clear? Vikki peered into the classroom, and noted with pleasure that Avero's back was turned. Luckily. She hadn't been paying attention while she was skipping Charms, and forgot the time. But, she couldn't give that excuse to Avero. He'd give her detention for sure. That, on top of the detention fomr pushin Kianthra down the stairs would kill her, slowly, but surely. Carefully, she snuck into the room, watching the Slythereins, who would bust her for sure. Another stroke of luck that her seat was close to the door. She slid into the seat, and groaned, internally. Werewolves. She knew enough about those to last a lifetime.

Corliss laughed softly at Niki's comment. "Oh, you know I am good at making up perfectly believable stories." she whispered, watching Niki look over at her brother again. "You know, if you look at him one more time, I will tell him." Of course Corliss knew Nikita like Scorpius. She was her best friend. She smirked at the pissed look on Nik's face. She listened to Avero for a moment before feeling the tap on her shoulder. She took the note quickly. ''True, we have had this conversation too many times. Let's not have it again. So, how are you Corliss? Wow! I haven't asked any one that question in a really long time!' Corliss had to fight back a laugh. She looked back up at Avero, making sure he wasn't looking. She dipped her quill in the ink before writing her response. 'Good idea. Well, to tell you thr truth Nikita, I am okay. I've been better. Y'know, ever since the fight Avery and I had by the Whomping Willow, I haven't felt the same. Enough about me, how are you?' She gave Nikita the note and watched Avero. She knew, even if he did catch them passing notes, he wouldn't do anything. He knew both of the girls were in the DE. He favored the Slytherin and more importantly the DE. She smiled. He was one of the many teachers they had on their side. Of course, as Defense Against the Dark Arts had started becoming Dark Arts, Corliss had stopped caring about it. True, when he asked her to preform a spell on one of the unlucky Gryffindors she happily did it. This class just wasn't as fun anymore. Kianthra said it was plenty fun in her class. Corliss sighed, wanting the next lesson to come. Avero had told her it was going to be Non-verbal spells. As in Kia's class, the plan was to get as many NO members under the Imperious curse as possible. The thought brought an evil grin to her pretty face. Corliss watched as Weasley entered the class late. She cleared her throat, getting Avero's attention in the process. He looked at her and she jerked her head in Vikki's direction. A smile went across the man's face. "Ah. It seems that we have a tardy bird." he said, walking over to the girls desk. "Why exactly are you late, Weasley?" he asked, not wanting an explanation. He sighed, an obviously fake sigh. "I'd saw dentition for a week. Oh and another 10 point from Gryffindor." Corliss laughed softly, looking at Vikki. Sie smirked and nodded her head. 'Your welcome.' she mouthed.
Nikita grabbed the note from Corliss, and stuffed it, inside of her robe. She let out a quiet laugh, as She heard what Avero said to the tardy Potter girl. She turned to look at Victoire. She gave her a smirk, and then shook her head. She turned back around, and looked at Corliss. "Nice..." Nikita said to Corliss. She gave her a grin, and then grabbed the note out of her pocket, once more. 'Good idea. Well, to tell you thr truth Nikita, I am okay. I've been better. Y'know, ever since the fight Avery and I had by the Whomping Willow, I haven't felt the same. Enough about me, how are you?' Nikita read the note carefully, and then glanced over at Avery. 'Did she not love him anymore? God, he loves her though. That much I do know.' Nikita thought to herself. She looked over at Scorpius once again. Then she remembered what Corliss had said. She leaned forward, and spoke so quietly that only Corliss could hear, "Well, I just looked at him again... I suppose you'll have to tell him now." Nikita didn't really care if Corliss told Scorpius that Niki liked him. It would probably help her chances with him. Nikita turned her attention back to the note. 'Well, I want to be with Scorpius, and it's killing me that I'm not with him... so you could say that I'm doing really crappy. Nikita handed the note back to Corliss, and then looked at Avero, pretending that she was listening. Nikita took out her wand, and looked around the room to see who she could curse... she spotted a Gryffindor, she barely knew, and gave her wand a flick, under the table, and whispered, "Stupefy." No one could hear Niki say this, and no one saw her mouth the word, or flick her wand under the table. There was no way she would be caught. This was very risky though. Using magic in class, without permission, but when did Nikita ever ask for permission to do anything? Never. Nikita put her wand quickly back, into her pocket as the Gryffindor, fell to the floor, unmoving. Nikita looked at Corliss, and gave her a wicked smile.

Corliss heard Nikita comment on her work. She grinned as she looked back at her friend. "Why, thank you very much." she whispered. She watched as Avero winked at the two Slytherins. "It is time." she muttered. She waited for Nikita to pass her the note back. As she opened it, she held in her laugh. She read the note carefully, knowing that Niki really didn't care if she told her older brother. When hadn't one of her friends crushed on Scorpius. 'Guess that is the bad part of having a handsome brother.' she thought, looking around. 'Y'know, I think I will tell him. Seeing as though he won't belive me, don't get your hopes up. By the way, Avero wants us to try non-verbal spells today in class. Tell no one.' She threw the note under the desk. She heard the faint thud as it landed on Nikita's lap.She put her elbows on the table as Nikita sent the spell at the Gryffindfor. She kept her face perfectly smooth. She wouldn't let Avero know who it was, but he already knew. The look on his face was perfectly clear, he knew exactly who it was. He would saw anything though. Corliss winked at Scorpius as he gave her a look. 'Stupefy!' she thought, flinking her wand in the directing of another unlucky Gryffindor. It hit her, sending her to the ground. Sighing, the Slytherin girl looked sideways at her friend. "Nice one.' she whispered.
Nikita smiled at Corliss, and then up at Avero. This was too easy. Nikita felt the note fall on her lap, and she waited to see if Avero noticed the sound it produced. When Avero didn't say anything, she grabbed the note from her lap, and began to read it. 'Y'know, I think I will tell him. Seeing as though he won't belive me, don't get your hopes up. By the way, Avero wants us to try non-verbal spells today in class. Tell no one.' Nikita sighed, and then dipped her quill into the ink, once more. She bit her lip, as she looked around the room. She didn't want to have permission to use non-verbal spells in class, she wanted to do them without permission. That was the way Niki liked it. Doing things without permission, but no they just had to have permission! Nikita brought her attention to the parchment sitting in front of her. 'So are you telling me, that we have permission to use spells in class today? UGH! I don't want permission! It irks me, but what ever. I will use some more...' Nikita threw the note onto Corliss' desk, and looked around the room once more. 'Who to curse... hmmmm...' Nikita though to herself. She didn't want to use Stupefy, again. She wanted to use something else. Nikita smiled softly as she thought, of which spell to use. All she needed now, was to know who to use it on... Nikita's eyes skimmed the room, and had to do a take back when her eyes fell on James. Perfect... Nikita thought pleasantly to herself. She took her wand out of her packet, and twisted it in her fingers. Expulso! Nikita thought the spell with passion. All of a sudden there was a blowing up sound, and Nikita looked over at James, and the Quill he had been holding, blew up in his hand, and caused James' face to be pushed back. His hair was straight up, and he looked like he had just seen a ghost. Nikita had to stifle, her laugh, as she winked at Corliss.

James had had enough of the two of them getting him into trouble. He knew that he couldn't fight back with Avero in the room. He felt his temper boil over again and took a few deep breaths to calm himself down. He got out another quill and carried on writing notes on the lecture trying to forget them.

Corliss watched Avero with intent eyes. Avery was still paying attention to the man. She sighed. 'Why is he such a good boy?' she asked herself. Shrugging, she looked around the room again, looking for any Gryffindors she didn't like. Of course, James an Vikki had been the targets for most of he class already. She thought it best to find someone new. She say the Robertson kid again. She laughed, aiming her wand at him under the table. She train of thought was interrupted by the soft thud of the folded up parchment on her desk. She looked at Avero, making sure he didn't notice. She opened it quickly and read. 'So are you telling me, that we have permission to use spells in class today? UGH! I don't want permission! It irks me, but whatever. I will use some more.' Corliss sighed. Her friend was such a rebel. It brought a smile to the Slytherin girl's face to think about her best friend. She picked up her quill as James' exploded in his face. She laughed with the other Slythrins and the few Gryffindors ho found it funny. On the other hand, Avero looked pleased. He looked back at the two girls quickly, a proud look on his face. Corliss laughed, looking aback at James. 'Nice one! Thats what I said, no? Oh give me a break, you need permission sometimes!' The girl set the note in front of Nikita as Avero walked over to James. "Mr. Potter, why are you blowing up quills in my class? 5 points from Gryffindor! Lets ads another weeks worth of detention too!" he said, sending a roar through the Slytherins. Corliss elbowed Niki in the side, winking back. She looked back at the Robertson boy. 'Stupefy! she thought again, sending the boy to the ground. She wasn't in the mood to think up any new spells. She would stick to this one until she thought of something new. She looked back at Niki. Sighing, she looked back at Avery.
