At his questioning, she simply rolled her eyes. Perhaps it would be best to come out and say that she just didn't like the Wizarding World. But that wasn't completely true. She liked the fact that magic made stuff easier, but she didn't like the fact that she was shit at it. So, she didn't explain herself.
She just shrugged.
A smile spread over her face at his mocked thanks. "Oh you're ever so welcome, love," she told him, scrunching her nose a tad at the last word of affection, the dimple in her cheek again appearing as her smile spread to a full-fledged grin.
When he grinned at her, she was immediately reminded why she was friends with him. Well, one of the reasons. Every time he smiled, it just made her happy. Or maybe that was one of the perks of being friends with him. Either way, she sauntered out the door, tapping her wand on her thigh. "Such the gentleman," the girl mused, almost joking. But he was really, a gentleman, and she knew she was lucky to have him, so she let him have that one.
"It's just called manners Elle." Louis laughed as he followed her out of the door, well aware that she wasn't going to explain why she wanted to live in the muggle world, at least not right now, so as usual he let it drop without another word from him either. As the sun hit his face he smiled again, enjoying the faint warmth on his face and the slight breeze against the bare skin of his arms.
He was getting a little excited now but managed to to keep his face calm and serene, he knew he'd need to if they were going to pull this off. He was going to have to engage in conversation with those Slytherin girls, and that was the only down side to the whole plan.

She laughed as well at his reply to her compliment. No one had ever really taught her manners. Neither her father nor her brothers had ever really had the time, or frankly, the desire. Besides, she'd grown up pretty well as she was, and they hadn't wanted to stunt her personality growth by strapping on stupid things like manners.
The Gryffindor girl made a face. "Huh," she mused, thinking for a moment before adding, "Perhaps you could lend me yours sometimes. I do believe I've misplaced mine."
As they walked out into the sunshine, Ellie felt brand new again. She never really liked walls or roofs. She was like a wild animal in that way. Never settled for being inside when she could be out. In fact, even in winter, she was almost constantly outside. Being in buildings made her feel like she couldn't breathe. And that was rather scary, when it piled up.
"Off you go, decoy," she muttered to him, pushing him in a roughly good-natured way to get him to start off towards the Slytherin girls. These particular ones Ellie knew wouldn't pass up a chance to talk to someone so attractive as Louis Weasley. Even if he was a Gryffindor, they couldn't really care less. She leaned non-chalantly against the boat house and waited.
"I knew you only used me for my body Elle." He smirked as he ran a hand through his hair and made his way over to the Slytherin girls, he flopped down beside them, making them look at him as he sighed softly. Almost immediately they pounced, talking to him quickly and with slightly squealy voices that hurt his ears after too long an exposure. He joined in their mindless chatter, managing to bring out his ever so slightly flirtatious side.
He hoped that Ellie would get her part over and done with quickly so he could stop pretending to care about this inane chatter, seriously, who honestly spent time working out how long he must train every week. But he just smiled and shrugged, continuing to make them feel comfortable with him, while he was feeling really very uncomfortable.

She rolled her eyes at the boy as he accused her of only using him for his body. If he only knew how useful his good looks could be to her pranking schemes. She grinned at him, pushing him on his way while musing, "Smart boy, preacher."
Now was the tricky part. As Ellie watched Louis distract the girls, she couldn't help but laugh a little. He was so damn good at being attractive, it was ridiculous. And THAT was why he was her decoy. Because people actually noticed him, even if it was only for his looks, and not his personality. Ellie ; she would be noticed for her personality.
The moment the girls had looked away from her, she had focused, centering her wand on the left one's pretty blonde locks. A few muttered words later (two tries bungled, a third badly aimed) the girl's hair was gone, and she was sporting the bald, cancer-patient look. Another couple tries with the other two, and their hair - bright, unnatural red and dark, midnight black - was gone as well. Or, at least, invisible. The extra time Louis' conversation gave her, she spent to redouble the spells and make them harder to reverse.
When she was done, she motioned subtley to Louis to get out of there as fast as possible, before sneaking back into the boat house and waiting for him there.
As Ellie managed to pull of the charm Louis hid his laugh with a warm smile, trying not to stare at their apparently bald heads. Once Ellie gave him the signal he politely excused himself, claiming he needed to get back to running and jogged off towards the boat house, just managing to make it inside and close the door before he fell back against it laughing.
"NIce work squirt." He managed between laughs before the girls squeals reached his ears, the squeals quickly turned to screams and brought on another wave of laughter in the boy. He was almost doubled over he as laughing so hard. "I really needed that."

As the screams of the girls and their precious hair started coming through the window and the cracks in the door, Ellie couldn't help but chuckling a bit herself. It was so weird that those girls were so attatched to their hair. Probably thought it was really gone too.
"Thanks, big guy," she replied, punching him lightly in the arm, a very boyish gesture to most people. But she did it often enough to make it somewhat a signature move. "You didn't do too bad yourself."
Her pipe was back in her mouth the moment those words had been said, and her craving for pipe tobacco had reached its high. The pipe had been packed with the substance before she'd pulled it out, and all she needed to do was raise the aged ligther to it and set it alight - she didn't trust herself to light it with her wand. Immediately, the strange yet comforting aroma of pipe tobacco made its way about the small shack.
It was a smell that had long ago filled her world. Even as a child, she'd smelled like it all the time, and now she did as well. To some people the mixture of that and the fresh, pine shampoo she used was repulsive, but to her it was just the way she smelled. And most of her friends didn't mind it either.
"You're welcome." He laughed, rubbing his arm where she punched him, as if she'd hurt him, Geez girl, go easy on me won't you?" He grinned, managing to stop the laughs from escaping now, but he'd keep that image in his head for a while.
He rolled his eyes as she lit the pipe, it wasn't that he objected to her smoking it, after all that was her decision, not his. He just wasn't too keen on the smell. Sure it wasn't so bad when it was just clinging to Ellie, but the fresh tendrils were a little strong for him. "You know my grandfather used to smoke a pipe. It smelt just as bad then!" He knew she wouldn't think he was 'preaching' again, just making a passing comment.

"And let you get soft?" she questioned, looking as though he was asking her to rip her own eye out. "Never, Lou."
The screams became more distant, as the girls ran back to the castle to get someone to help them out with their mysterious disappearing hair. Her chuckles were dying down. It had really got her laughing, that prank. And those girls had been livid. Jesus, that was a good one.
The Gryffie knew her friend didn't appreciate the smell. She made as if to pull him towards the door, as the smoke was beginning to become slightly unbearable for the untrained, healthy person. Her fingers lightly brushed his shoulder in the direction of the door. "C'mon, let's get outta here."
At the mention of his grandfather, she simply pulling the pipe out of her mouth and made a perfect smoke ring out of her rather large mouth before saying, "Someone's mister grumpy-buttons today."

"Me, get soft? Never. Even without you around my dear." He grinned at the small girl.
As the tendrils of smoke weaved their way through the air the Weasley boy really didn't feel like staying cooped up with them any longer, so he was grateful when Ellie suggested that they get out of the small, now smoke filled shed. He wasn't sure how much longer he could stay without coughing his guts up anyway.
He waved away the smoke ring and narrowed his eyes a little, "I'm not grumpy, just...I don't know." He shook his head running his hand through his hair before giving Ellie a sheepish smile and turned to open the door, pulling it open he took a deep lungful of the fresh air before stepping to the side to let Ellie out first. Manners. Often the bain of his existence.

Laughing, she made her way out of the shack, pulling her pipe out of her mouth and blowing a smoke ring before answering. "I feel so useless."
He was looking a tad green on the edges as she suggested that they head outside. It was the one of the things about him that she found to be rather adorable. The fact that he couldn't tolerate smoke. So, he wasn't entirely like her brothers. But then, who was? Louis was unique and an individual. And Ellie loved his living guts out for that.
He talked about being grumpy and she listened.
The boy seemed rather confused about his emotional status, which wasn't technically a crime, but it was weird none the less. Most people knew how it felt to not know what they were feeling. But Ellie always knew what she was feeling. It was just a facet of her personality.
"Aww, poor Lou," she mused, standing straight and slinging a scrawny arm around his shoulders. Although she was short, she could still manage that quite well. However, the bottom of the black tank top she was wearing slinked itself up, showing off an inch or so of her tan midriff. "Not feeling the best, are we?"

He sighed softly as she slung an around his shoulder, but smiled at her as she spoke. "I'm fine Elle, just a little exhausted, I was up late trying to finish off a stupid Potions essay, and then the run didn't do much for my exhaustion levels, just my stress ones." He shook his head ut grinned as he looked back to Ellie.
"So what did you want to do now? Besides smoke that god awful thing?" He teased, tapping the edge of the pipe neck as he spoke. Since they were outside once more he slumped down onto the grass, propping himself up on his elbows, his head fell back between his shoulder blade so he was looking up at the sky.

She plopped herself down in the grass next to him, folding her legs over one another indian-style, the girl puffed away on her pipe, looking strangely like a mix of Bhudda and a Native American chieftan.
"You poor dear," she sympathized with him, a smile playing across her lips, her raspy voice sounding like she was on the verge of laughing. "Running's not good for you in this state," she told him, gesturing to his seemingly exhausted self. "You could max out your heart rate and DIE."
She opened her eyes wide, looking shocked for a moment before saying loudly, "Dun dun dun DUNNNNN." The Gryffie broke into a bout of laughter, smoke spiralling up out of her mouth in huge billows.
The next moment, she had her large mouth open again and was answering his question. "Well, I personally, would like to try jumping off the Astronomy Tower. But you don't seem to be in the mood for it today. Maybe later?"

"Running isn't the problem, my heart isn't going to give out just because I lost a couple of hours sleep Elle. Trust me." He laughed as she became the overly dramatic girl he knew. He let his arms give out and lay flat out on the grass, his hands resting behind his head.
He turned his head to look at her with an arched eyebrow as she mentioned she wanted to try jumping off the astronomy tower. "Ellie, I doubt I'll ever be in the mood for trying that, and if you think I'm going to let you try it either, you have another think coming. You're not jumping off the Astronomy tower. Ever. End of." Hs voice was firm, he couldn't stand the idea of her throwing herself off the top of the tower and plummeting to her inevitable death.

She looked over at him, her eyebrows raised as though she was about to laugh out loud. "Fine, but don't blame me at your funeral when I'm the one alive and you're rotting in your casket."
It was one of her life long dreams, to jump off a high building without a bungee cord attached. Naturally, it would be better if she was jumping into water or something of the likes, but as long as she had someone to catch her with magic at the bottom, nothing could really go wrong.
Sure, she really had a craving to do it today, but maybe it was better if she simply went with a safer plan. One that the boy would approve of. Ellie shook that thought out of her head. She was the kind of person who did things simply because others told her that she couldn't. And with this challenge on her mind, she replied, puffing a perfect smoke ring out of her mouth.
"It's not like I'd die, love," she answered him, the stem of the pipe sticking out of the side of her mouth. "I'd have someone catch me. It'd be perfectly safe."
The more she thought about it, the more she really wanted to. The girl jumped to her feet. "C'mon, you can spot me," she told him, gesturing towards the castle, heading off in her bouncing, loping gate. Finally, when she was about ten feet away, she turned to him, walking backwards for a spell. "You can come or not. But I'll do it all the same." With that, she grinned at him, before turning around and starting off at a sprint towards the castle.
But, knowing Louis, he would follow. And he was much better at running than she was. But, short of tackling her to the ground, he couldn't really stop her.
