As much as Avery didn't want to hurt Rosie he was going to have to stop her from hurting Corliss. He decided to do something that wouldn't hurt Rosie, but would help Corliss, and himself. He raised his wand, and whispered, "Expelliarmus!" Rosie's wand flew out of her hand, and Avery caught it quickly. He looked at her wand and held it tightly in the other hand.
The pain burst through his chest as the curse hit him, and he fell to the ground writhing in pain. Eventually the pain subsided and he felt Rosie at his side. He sent her a weak smile. "I've been better.' he coughed sitting up. He had gone through enough Unforgivables this years he was almost getting used to the pain. He noticed her wand was missing and noticed it in Avery's hand. "Accio Rosie's wand!" he called at the wand flew into his hand and he gave it to Rosie, standin up. "Rosie, I swear to god nothing's going to hurt you.' he whispered to her, so the others wouldn't hear. "This is all my fault." he sighed, shaking his head. His temper always got the better of him.
Rosie pulled him into a side hug, breathing in his scent as she did. Instantly, she was reminded of the night he'd brought her up to the rooftop to go stargazing. She smiled as she remembered. But then, she heard his reply. "Well I'm sure you'll feel loads better once I kick that bastard's ass," she muttered under her breath to him, so only he could hear. After he summoned her wand for her, she thanked him and then brandished it on the boy next to Corliss. If he was going to take her wand from her so she couldn't defend herself from the Malfoy girl, then that was as good as hurting her. "It's not your fault Ted," she told him, trying to think up a good spell, "Besides, if we hadn't started this mess then I would still be walking in the woods with a two-faced jerk." That part was just loud enough for the two on the other side of the clearing to hear. Finally, she thought of an idea. Picking up a pebble from the ground, she made it roughly the size of a large tennis ball with a simple Engorgement Charm before tossing it up in the air and yelling, "Bombarda!" Immediately, the rock burst into a million shards of razor-sharp shrapnel. However, her and Teddy were protected by a Shield Rosie'd conjured a millisecond before the explosion.

Rosie's wand was summoned out of his hand towards Teddy, who gave it back to Rosie. Then Rosie used the Bombarda spell on a rock making it explode into thousands of sharp pieces. Avery cowered himself over Corliss. The thousands of sharp rocks hit him in the back causing him to gasp. He sucked up the semi-pain and stood back to his normal position to see if Corliss got hit by any of them.
He looked at Rosie, feeling sad, and hurt. He wished that she had accepted Corliss. Corliss was trying to be nice to Rosie, and Teddy. If Rosie didn't accept it then he didn't have any idea what to do. All he knew was that he was going to stay with Corliss forever. He loved her dearly.

Corliss wasn't one for pain. She yelled out in frustration. She looked at the too as she felt the frustration well up inside her. she knew better than to let Rosie get angry. She knew the spell she was dreading was coming. As Rosie blew up the bolder, she gasped as Avery covered her. She heard her Avery gasp in pain. "Oh hell no. You do not hurt my Avery!" she yelled. She pulled up her sleeve reveling her mark. She pressed the tip of the wand hard onto the Mark, causing it to burn. 'Please let that work!' she thought. She looked back up at the two Gryffindors. Her mind was racing. She couldn't think of the right spell.
Teddy looked as the shards flew about and her covered his head with his arm for no reason. He smiled at Rosie, she could come up with the most brilliant plans. He chuckled as Corliss called Avery hers, but wondered, why was Rosie talking to him earlier? They seemed to get along then, and now they hated each other. He was missing a large piece of his puzzle, but his heart stopped for a few beats as Corliss touched her mark. "Oh no, we are not doing this again." Teddy mumbled to Rosie, wanting to get out of there before any other Death Eaters came. He pulled his wands to Corliss and Avery and shouted "Immobulus!" before grabbing Rosie's hand and pulling her out of the forest. He squeezed her hand tightly, hoping to send her some reassurance.
As Corliss touched her wand to her Dark Mark, Rosie's heart stopped. This was becoming increasingly familiar, and reminded her of the dangerous escapade that had happened last time. She felt Teddy grab her hand and pull her away from the clearing where the two Slytherins were. Knowing they only had a moment before the two would begin chasing them, she quickened her speed, falling only a few steps behind her longer-legged companion, all the while continuously cursing the genetics that had given her these short legs. And of course, being the klutz that she was, she stumbled over many a tree root and bump, bruising her toes and wearing away at the fabric on the point of her worn out sneakers.

Corliss watched Teddy as she pressed her mark. She saw the fear cross his eyes. "Oh yes." she muttered. She watched the weak two running off. "Incarcerous! Mobiliarous!" she whispered, watching the ropes fly out of her wand and hit the runners. She laughed a dry laugh. Her hand gripped her wand tightly. She narrowed her eyes. The anger still raising up until it bubbled over. The spell she needed hit her in the face. "Langlock! Furnunculus!" she shouted, sending the curses at the Gryffindors. She looked at Avery, she didn't want to anger him so she wasn't throwing Unforgivables around like was he norm for her. She took a deep, ragged breath, letting it out slowly. She didn't want them to get away so easily. She had totally forgotten that they were stuck in this spot. She quickly mumbled a charm, letting them move again. Just to make sure they weren't going anywhere she thought of a few more spells to keep them entertained. "Silencio!" she whispered, just to make sure they didn't get their tongues off the roof of their mouths. She smiled.
Rosie had known that Corliss wasn't going to let them get out of this so easily. Just before the girl had begun sending curses at them, under her breath, she'd muttered, "Protego!" This had thrown up an invisible shield that kept off all the spells the girl had sent at the two running Gryffindors. The rope that she'd sent at them snaked around their ankles, but couldn't get a firm grip and dropped to the ground, only to disappear a moment later as it were magical, and things that are magical and not of use anymore tend to disappear. Of course, it wasn't just any shield, this thing that protected them. It was a magical shield cast by Rosie Weasley, which just so happened to be her expertise, along with a few household healing spells that she'd learned in her sixth year. This was actually very logical, that a defensive spell would be her specialty, as she wasn't one for violence and rather liked to protect those she loved. The only spell that didn't simply slide away into the forest was the Silencing Spell, which hit a bird in a tree not far from where the duo ran past. Rosie felt rather sorry for the poor thing. She knew that most birds couldn't survive without their vocal cords, so the creature would most likely die within the week. However, thinking of birds made her think of Avery, which made her burn with hurt. That sick traitor.

Teddy watched as the shield that Rosie had cast around them block everything Corliss threw at them. Ha! Take that Corliss! he thoughts as he watched Rosie stumble about the ground. She had kept up to his pace, but at the price of her feet. Those would hurt later on. He could help that, he thought mischievously to himself before snapping out of it. They were running away from danger at the moment Ted, get your mind out of there until your safe. And sure enough they reached the forest edge once again panting and breathing heavily. "You.. are not.. aloud.. in that forest.. ever again. You.. hear me?" Ted panted, laughing sightly. Even if the Slytherins did come after them, they wouldn't dear fight them in broad daylight. There we too many witnesses. He pulled her into a victory hug and smiled. "That was brilliant Rosie!" he laughed, realizing her feet were off the ground. He placed her back down but took her small hand in his and led them up to the castle. He wanted a full explanation of what she was doing in the forest with Avery, but he'd wait till they were far away from the forest as possible.

No indeed Corliss hadn't know about the shield. "They aren't getting away! Sorry Avery." she hissed through grinding teeth. She knew he would probably hate her for this, but unless they we going to get away, she had no choice. "Imperio!" she shouted, knowing that the shield wouldn't hold. She waited, hopping Avery wasn't about to murder her right there. "Well, I said sorry before hand, and it really isn't hurting them, so...." she said slowly. She knew they could fight it off, but she had to hold them. Avery would probably dump her, and go over to the NO, but it was against her norm to let them get away. "Come on over here!" she laughed.
Avery watched as Corliss sent spell after spell at Rosie, and Teddy. He would have helped her, but she had it under control, and he just couldn't hurt Rosie. Unless she absolutely hurt Corliss. Avery didn't feel angry at Corliss, he still loved her. Like he said before, he loved her and nothing was going to change that.
He looked at Corliss, and said, "Go ahead Corliss, do whatever you need to do. I still love you." He looked away from her, and watched as Teddy, and Rosie got farther away. He thought they should just let them be, but another part of him thought they should hold them back. He thought about what had scared them off. Then he remembered Teddy's face when Corliss had pressed her wand to her Mark. That was what had scared them off. They were afraid of a couple of Death Eaters coming. Avery chuckled to himself, and turned back to look at Corliss.
Rosie grinned at Teddy, panting from their run through the forest. Her feet were already starting to hurt, and there was a rather large stitch on her side. "Thanks, Ted," she answered as he told her she was brilliant, and hugged him back when he hugged her. "But I don't think we're over with this just yet." It was a moment after this that the Imperius Curse hit her in the back. She stood up, rigid, for a moment, hearing the voice in her head telling her to go over to Corliss. However, there was another voice, her own, telling her to stay right where she was. She was torn between the two, and a moment later, she fell to the ground, stuck between going and not going. Half of her was struggling towards Corliss while the other half was pulling away. Finally, the part that was pulling away prevailed, and she tumbled onto her back, motionless, starring up at the clouds, having thrown off the Curse.
Ted felt Rosie go limp in his embrace, and his smile immediately disappeared, fright filling him. "Rosie.." he said, looking into her eyes that we no longer his favorite shade of green, but now a silver watery color. He felt like screaming a million profanities at the moment, cursing Corliss as many times as she could for hurting her, but most importantly that curse should of hit him, not Rosie. And before he knew it, she fell out of his arms and onto the ground. "Rosie!!" he screeched and dropped to his knees, checking for a pulse. He felt his heart stop until he found hers, breathing out a sigh of relief. He put one arm between her knees and wrapped the other around her back, picking her up bridal style and looked into the forest. "See Bishop? See how your girlfriend treats human beings? You sure know how to choose them." he spat looking down at frail little Rosie, wondering if she would be all right. "Rosie? Rosie.. can you hear me?" Ted said, looking at her face frightfully. He could feel a few stares on the pair but some where looking at the forest. He never really had a problem with Avery Bishop, well until today, and he was sure he wouldn't be so easily trusted now. Not after this.
She could feel his arms carrying her, and something about knowing it was him brought her back from the darkness of unconscious thinking. Her eyelids fluttered, and all of a sudden she felt incredibly tired. The energy it took to fight off the Imperius Curse had weakened her to the point of hardly being able to keep her eyes open. She scrunched her nose, wiggling it around a little to get feeling back in her face. Once she could again feel her mouth and nose, the rest of her began to get feeling back in it too. Finally, she was able to speak. "Yeah, Ted, I'm fine," she answered, her voice rather weak and more of a whisper than anything, "Just a little tired." With that, her eyelids closed again, as she'd drained all her strength, and didn't have enough left to even move anymore.
