Crunch, crunch, crunch! That was the sound of the twigs breaking under Rosie's, and Avery's feet as they walked through the entrance of the Forbidden Forest. The trees cowered above them now, giving them shade from the harsh sunlight. Avery turned his head to look at Rosie. "Hey, Rosie? You remember at the library, when you got really pissed, when I told you about Corliss, and I?" Avery asked her cautiously. Still staring at her. He really hoped she didn't take his question the wrong way. If she did, it wouldn't be a very pretty walk in the forest.
Rosie looked at him questioningly, letting a moment of silence pass before answering. Well, it wasn't exactly silence. The crunch of the leaves and sticks under their feet accompanied by the sound of rustling leaves overhead composed a rather muffled symphony as a backdrop to their conversation. "Yeah, why?" she asked, puzzled. It was a rather odd question for him to ask. Of course she remembered. Since then, she'd heard gossip about the two of them around school as well as had a few friends ask her if she'd actually hugged a Slytherin. To which she modestly answered yes to ohs and ahs and piles more questions. To tell the truth, it had gotten rather annoying.
Avery listened to her, answer his question, as he tried to ignore all of natures sounds around him. Yes they were beautiful sounds, but he needed to hear Rosie. "Well, do you know how much I HATED how you stormed out of there, and called me Bishop, and treated me like nothing?" Avery asked Rosie, without hesitation. He wondered to himself what her reply would be to that. He hated how she had treated him that day. It felt weird to him, being treated like that by Rosie. Avery turned his head back ahead. Making sure he knew where he was going. Avery watched as a bird flew right across their path. The bird was so free, so careless. He could just fly anywhere it wanted, and do whatever it wanted. That's what Avery wished he could be like. He wished he could be like that bird. He loved his life don't get him wrong, but wouldn't it be nice to be carefree? Like the bird?
Rosie looked apologetic when he told her reminded her about her behavior that day. Good Lord, she'd acted like a, she hated to say it, Slytherin. "Sorry about that. I was upset," she told him, turning to give him a smile, which she hoped would make up for her actions that day. However, she was distracted by a bird crossing their path. It was the same bird that Avery had saw, but Rosie saw the creature in a different light. She pitied it. For she doubted that birds could feel love the way humans could. Most had a different mate every fall, which made it difficult for them to actually love their 'spouse'. But humans. Why, that was a totally different matter all together.
Ted had finally got out of detention with Zane. Duros kept them an extra hour because he caught them passing notes, not once but twice during their detention. Ted yawned and stretched, dentention always wore him out. "I'mma going to go and find Rose, I'll see yah later Zane." Teddy told his friend, and even though his back was turned on him, he was sure there was a eye roll as soon as he looked away. The two of them had been spending a lot of time together since the ball, whenever they got the chance actually. And it was like Duros had found out, he started giving Ted dentention for the most random reasons, but he didn't mind, he wasn't letting Duros get his way. After all, he got to Rosie after detention, and that was reward enough.
He was just about to check the common room before someone shouted his name, a Hufflepuff from his Charms class. He asked if he knew what the homework was but Ted didn't know, he usual just copied Rosie's, and the Hufflepuff said he was going to ask her in the Library, but then she ran off to the forest. The Forest? He had a million profanity's flying through his head as he ran towards the forest. What did he tell her? Not to go into the forest! Especially not alone! What happened last time? They all got out barely alive and him and James nearly got kicked out of the Order! He was furious, he could feel his hair turning a bright red as he raced into the forest.
He somehow managed to find her, as always, in the middle of the forest. But she was accompanied by none other and Avery, a Slytherin. Avery's voice sounded distressed as he talked to Rosie and Ted quickly pulled his wand and grabbed Rosie, overprotective Ted was coming out, and pulled her behind his back. "Rosie! What did I tell you about coming into the forest alone? And look, Bishop's here, it's just going to be like last time!" he snapped, his eyes narrowed on Avery, furious. "I swear to god if you hurt her Bishop..." he said, his teeth clenching.

Most of the time people don't like going into the forest. It was off limits, dark, and well, freaky. That just meant it was Corliss Malfoy's favorite place to be. She loved the forest almost as much as she loved the Chamber of Secrets. She grinned as she wandered around the unknown part of the forest. She normally went much farther in that this, but she was up to looking around. She had just killed a deer or elk. Something along those lines was lying dead a few meters back. No, she hadn't meant to, but the poor deer just couldn't stand fifteen minuets of thrashing. The girl didn't care, it was for practice and no one would know. Corliss stopped dead in her tracks as she heard two new voices. One of which spoke her name. She shuddered as a chill went down her spine. She smirked. 'Maybe they are from the DE. If they are then they will probably be looking for bugs to practice on.' she thought, listening to the voices carefully now. Her eyes popped open again. Weasley and Avery? She laughed. Yes, she knew they were friends. No, she didn't like it. Hate is exactly word for how she felt about it. She couldn't do anything about it though. She scowled as she heard them coming closer to her. Then she heard Teddy's upset voice. She raced forward, seeing them coming closer she slowed to a quick walk. She smiled. "Hello Avery." she greeted him, looking at the two Gryffindors he stood with. She forced a smile on her face. Oh how she hated to do that. "Rosie. Teddy." she said, painfully nice. She wasn't going to be rude in front of Avery. He would be angry.
Rosie disappeared from his sight, but in place of her was Teddy. He started yelling, at Rosie, and then at Avery. [b/"I'm not going to hurt ROSIE! I might hurt YOU though!"
Avery yelled at Teddy, pulling his wand out of his pocket. Teddy irked Avery sometimes. Well, not sometimes, ALL the time. Avery stared at Teddy, his nose flaring. His eyes were a dark, evil blue.
The moment Ted entered her line of vision, Rosie knew this was going to end badly. Good God, it was just like last time, only the Slytherin with her didn't want to hurt her. But Teddy, being overprotective as he was, had to pull her behind him and point his wand directly at Avery. Annoyed at the childishness of the two boys, she pulled out her wand and set off a bang that made both of them jump. "STOP IT! Both of you! Jesus, you're acting like children." She was angry with them. But she supposed she shouldn't be. After all, Ted had just been protecting her and Avery was often irked by Teddy so it wasn't really their faults. It was more of her fault, for rashly not telling Teddy about her friendship with Avery. "Look Ted, he's not gonna hurt me, okay? Just lower your wand. And stop looking at me like that." After talking to Ted, she turned to Avery. "And you. Back off, mister, and control that temper of yours." She'd learned over the years that the two were exactly alike. Both were reckless and stubborn, and both had terrible tempers. It was almost too much to handle having them both in the same area.
Ted was about to snarl, yes actually snarl at Avery when Rosie sent up a bang with her wand, making both of them jump. He looked around at Rosie about to ask what she was doing, but he found her in between both of them. As she told him to stop giving her that look he obliged, but this would not be the last of this. Why the hell was she friends with Avery? Had she not heard that he was going out with Corliss, the Slytherin she loathed the most at the moment?
Teddy was still tense though as he looked over at Corliss and narrowed his eyes. "Well if we're buddy-buddy with Avery, please don't tell me we're on speaking terms with this bitch." he said, his wand pointed at Corliss. He still hadn't gotten over the attack she had put on Rosie, she still had faint scars on her face, but yet, here she was smug as she was. She was getting no where near his Rosie while he was around. He realized that he had called her his Rosie and shook his head. It must be his wolf genes.
Avery heard Ted call Corliss a bitch, and his anger grew even more. "How dare you!" Avery yelled at him, raising his wand to point straight at Teddy's face. "How dare you call her a bitch." Avery snarled at Teddy. There was no way on earth he was going to let that slip past him.
He walked closer to Corliss, and moved in front of her, still keeping his wand, and eyes focused on Teddy's face. Avery's jaw clenched, and his other hand formed into a strong fist. He felt Corliss behind him, and that is where he wanted her to be. Be safe behind him. He knew Rosie was going to be so mad at him, but he couldn't help it. Corliss was his, and no one else's. No one could cal her names, or hurt her as long as he was around.

Corliss looked at Teddy. She held her wand up. "Oh Wolf. What in the bloody freaking hell is this! You ever call me that again and I will curse the hell out of you. That is a promise. You don't ever speak to me like that." she hissed through clenched teeth. She looked at Avery. Her eyes full of hate. "I thought you said..." she began, as he got in front of her. "Avery, I can protect myself. Trust me on this one. I want to be by your side, not blocked from view." she whispered.
Rosie's face hardened when she saw Avery walk over to protect that bitch of a girl, Corliss. Suddenly, she felt exactly as she had in the library a few days ago. Hurt, betrayed, murderous towards that boy who was so hot and cold that she could hardly stand it anymore. Couldn't he just choose a side, for Heaven's sake? It was as though he was trying to please everyone, which really wouldn't work a bit. Finally, she turned to Teddy, her wand raised and pointed towards the pair of Slytherins across from them. "Never mind, Ted," she told him, her bottle green eyes full of hurt, "Curse the hell outta that asshole."

Ted looked at Avery, his hair still a blaze of red. "How dare I? Well lets see, last time I saw her I was in the middle of the forest, close to here actually, and she had broken my Rosie's leg. And put her under the Cruciatus Curse, something I rather not see ever again." Ted said to him before looking at Corliss. "And you think I'm afraid of you? Ha! That's a laugh." Teddy said, his teeth tight as he looked at Rosie. He looked at her confused as she stood beside him. He knew better then to push her behind him at this point, and the first thing he did was look to her eyes, the emeralds that he loved seemed to be filled with hurt. That was enough to make him pounce right there.
"Bishop, Malfoy. I may have wolf genes, but there something about wolves that makes them very territorially over their mates." He said, looking at Rosie for the briefest second before turning back to the pair. "I told you Bishop, hurt my Rosie and I'll hurt you. Since you obviously have done that, I have no choice. I promised Zane I wouldn't use any Unforgivables, but if I could you would be lying on the forest floor right now in so much pain you would never forget it." Ted said slowly, trying to calm down. Nothing would work right if he was so full of rage. "Dolvandio!" Ted shouted, sending purple flames towards the Slytherins. He had heard of this curse from Hermione actually, the curse causes serious internal injury, but does not show any external symptoms.

Corliss glared at the stupid little wolf. She lifted her wand as the curse shot toward them. She smiled her evil smile as the spell hit her. She looked into Ted's eyes. " Crucio!" she muttered, aiming the wand at the wolf's chest. It hit her target. She laughed. "That is why you should fear me Wolf." she hissed through her teeth. She looked at Avery, his eyes wide. "I told you we were different. I suggest you use some spell on Rosie before she kills me!" she whispered in an urgent tone. She had a feeling that Rosie would come back with a certain, horrible spell. She dropped her wand, letting Teddy free of her wrath. "Next time, you won't be so lucky! Expelliarmus!" she said, pointing her wand at Teddy then at Rosie.
When Rosie saw her Teddy under the Cruciatus Curse, she desperately wanted to hurt the girl across from them. She brandished her wand in a rather flashy fashion, shouting two spells in quick sucession, "Confringo! Levicorpus!" Immediately, a flaming Corliss was flung up in the air, hung upside-down, her limbs flailing dangerously. Rosie spun the girl around in circles with her wand, forcing her to become incredibly dizzy. Finally, when her arm had gone rather achy from the constant spinning, she lifted her up high before releasing the spell and letting her drop to the ground.
After this, she raced over to Teddy, who was just struggling to get off the ground, and helped him up. "You alright, Ted?" she asked, worry in her eyes. If that Malfoy girl tried anything else on her Teddy, Rosie'd be forced to use the spell she'd used the last time she'd met the girl in the Forest. But this time, there'd be no Essence of Dittany to cover the wounds. She'd just keep on bleeding til her veins had run dry.
