Corliss smiled. "Aw. That brings a tear to my eye, Weasel. Speaking of, you can stay friends with your little blood-traitor, Bishop. I want nothing to do with you. Oh, and I bet Rosie forgot to tell you. When I sent that Unforgivable at her, she came back with a little spell of her own. Tell him Weasley." she spat, turning her back. She had half a mind to curse the hell out of both of the people standing there, but she thought better just to tell Charlotte. "Goodbye Avery, have fun with your little Gryffindor girl." she hissed over her shoulder.
Avery watched Corliss leave, totally shocked. She had dumped him in a matter of one day. Just because he was friends with Rosie. Whatever, she is a stuck up bitch after all. I should have listened to Rosie. If only she hadn't stormed out like that. Avery looked back at Rosie. He kinda felt free...and, he had made up his mind about what to do. He just hoped Rosie would forgive him...forgive the worst mistake of his life. He hoped she would listen to him.
As Corliss left, Rosie watched her Slytherin friend's shocked face. He seemed to be rather surprised by this little encounter. Perhaps he hadn't known very much about Corliss other than her nice side. Which was the most fake of all of her faces. A smile spread its way across Rosie's face before she made her way over to hug him. "I knew you'd come around," she whispered to him, her head against his chest. She'd never been so happy that someone had been dumped in her entire life.
All of a sudden Avery was being comforted by Rosie. She was hugging him. He wrapped his arms around her, and rested his head on hers. He felt very free, now. He could join the New Order if he wanted to. He thought he might...maybe. He wasn't completely positive though. All he knew at this point was that, he had the greatest person in the world comforting him...Rosie.
"So," Rosie said, as she pulled away from their hug, hitching her brown bookbag even further up on her arm. The thing kept on sliding down to her bicep which was, in case you didn't know, extremely uncomfortable. "Care to go study out on the lawns? I do believe we've made a rather astounding entrance together into the world of social relationships." She laughed, brushing a piece of her dark auburn hair out of her eyes.
Avery sucked in a breath through his teeth looking around at all of the shocked faces. They had hardly ever seen a Slytherin and a Gryffindor get along...especially hug. He didn't care what other people thought. As long as he was happy, and with Rosie. "Yeah I think so..." Avery said with a hint of laugh in his tone. "Let's go." He said to her. Then he remembered his books. He also kinda wanted to show her the damage he had done to the library. "Ummm...but first can we go get my books? That would be smart, since we're going to study...don't you think?" Avery smirked, very happy to have his best friend back.
Rosie laughed as she looked around at all the staring students. Hufflepuffs, Ravenclaws, Gryffindors, and Slytherins alike were all looking at them in a rather stunned fashion. "Ya think?" she asked, chuckling as she did. As he mentioned his books, she remembered him leaving them in the library when she'd stormed out and felt rather embarrassed. She hoped he would forgive her for acting so strange. And then she heard his question and burst out laughing. When she'd gotten herself under control, she finally gave him her answer. "Of course, Sherlock."
He started walking back towards the library, with Rosie at his side. This wasn't exactly the way he'd planned to introduce Rosie, and his friendship. He had expected it a little quieter, and a little bit more expected. They had just talked about it for goodness sake! They didn't even completely make up there mind to. Well it pretty much decided for them.
Avery walked into the library, trying not to look at the wall, or to even think about it. He couldn't believe he had gotten so angry, and upset. He had almost lost Rosie, so that explained most of it. He still couldn't believe it, he couldn't believe he let it all out. He was pretty sure that he would be going to detention for a few weeks though. That is if the librarian caught him. Which she would.
He went to the table he was sitting in, which seemed like decades ago. He grabbed his books with one hand and turned to start walking out.
Rosie was rather upset at herself for getting so angry over a simple matter of who was dating who. Especially at one of her closest friends. However, it had been rather rude of him, to ignore the fact that Corliss had cursed the hell out of her in the forest the other day. But, it couldn't be taken back now. Rosie was simply glad they were back on good terms. She waited patiently to the side for him to pick up his books before the two of them headed out onto the Grounds to study for the rest of their free period.
