Victoire hissed as the stairs she was on took her to the wrong floor...again. This was starting to look hopeless, for she had been here for the past twenty minutes. This is my seventh year She thought to herself, as she stepped onto another row of steps. And I still get lost! She finally smiled as she found a door that looked promising. Shifting her books to her other arm, she reached for the knob, and..."LOCKED!" Half tempted to open it, magically, the Weasley stamped her foot, and stared down the case, watching students who seemed to have no problems manuveuring the moving floors. She sighed and leaned against the railing, praying for a miracle, or perhaps a direction savvy student to appear.

Kia headed down the staircase from the seventh floor, having just left a DE meeting in the Room of Requirement. She wasn't in the best of moods, considering she had been supervising the first years, whilst Scorpius, their usual mentor, fixed a few broken fingers. She sighed, it had been a good meeting, but definitely not a brilliant one. Her steps were silent as she walked down the staircase, whilst checking whether it was going to move beneath her feet. Her blonde hair curled about her face as usual, swished as she jumped onto another staircase that had just begun to move.
Her brown eyes focused on someone who seemed to be trying to force open the door that led to the fifth floor. Everyone knew that the floor had fallen through on the otherside and that's why it had been locked, obviously this girl was oblivious to the fact. As the stairs swung closer she noticed the Gryffindor robes. Oh great a Gryffindor, I might have known. Well, at least it's not a first year Kia stepped lightly onto the landing, without making any noise. She paused for a moment to see if the Gryffindor had noticed, obviously not. As the stairs clicked into place behind her, the Gryffindor turned. It must have looked as if Kia had appeared from thin air.

Victoire jumped. Kianthra was scary enough, even when she didn't appear from out of no where. She hissed under her breath, watching Zane's sister, cautiously. This wasn't what she had been praying for. This was the exact opposite. Trying to keep her voice even, Victoire smiled, fakely. "Kianthra" She said, simply, trying to walk past her. She kept her eyes on the stairs, just in case she was just about to fall -or be pushed- down them. How is someone as nice as Zane related toher? She wondered in the back of her mind.

She's afraid and right to be. She jumped foregoodness sake, urgh these Weasleys annoy me so much. I really just want to push her down the stairs, but no, that's not subtle enough. I need something more, more discrete than that. She stared into the girl's eyes, trying to anticipate what she would do next. Of course Kia could have just used Legilimency to read the Weasley girl's mind, but that was something she preferred to keep quiet.
As the girl tried to walk past her, Kianthra remained where she was, blocking the path. She raised her eyebrows as if to say "where do you think you're going?" She saw the girl look between the stairs and back to Kia. She thinks I'm going to push her. She seems to be on the same wavelength as me, for once. She replied with a smile as equally as fake, "Victoire"

She stared, wondering what to do, next. She silently cursed herself, knowing that she was an idiot. None of the rest of the order would be such a scaredy cat. She could always pull out her wand, but Kianthra probably knew some intense, dark arts spell that would end up with a misshapen Victoire at the bottom of the staircase. I'm such a wuss She insulted herself, trying to regain some confidence. "Exactly what are you even doing here?" Her voice cracked, letting her fear show. "Don't you have some First Year to torture, or perhaps some puppies to spit on?"

Kia looked into her eyes they showed just one emotion, fear. She smirked before she said, "Nothing you need to worry your little head about. I might ask you the same question." She paused glancing from the locked door and then back to Victoire. "Sadly I don't have any first years to pick on, but you'll do as a good replacement."
The fear Kia could strike with a single glance was quite impressive yet terrifying. She could reduce a sixth year into a sobbing mess if she wanted to, even some seventh years like this one. Easy prey. Why can't she just stand up for herself, at least she'd earn a small ounce of respect. Cowards are even worse than blood traitors. All these Weasleys seem to have those things in common, they are all cowards and fear me. Quite rightly I should think. Considering my considerable talent at Unforgiveables. But, I'm sure they are well aware of that fact.

"You don't scare me," Victoire said, trying to make her voice louder, more brave. She shifted the books, once more, and clutched the wand deep in her robe's pocket. She began reciting spells, trying to remember the ones this one used most often. Unforgivables Was all she could come up with, specifically Cruico. Torture hurt, or so she had heard. She'd never been tortured, but she didn't plan on breaking that streak today. Or any other day. With a wild thought, she wondered which would be more painful. Torture, or jumping off of her small ledge. I'll take my chances She continued to watch Kianthra, waiting for the first sign of an attack.

"Funny that, considering your eyes tell a completely different story," Kianthra said. She shifted the yew wand in her left hand, causing the Weasel to look from face, to her left hand and back again. I could just stun her, she might fall down the stairs that way. Or maybe, I won't have to do anything at all. She might just jump off the ledge or overbalance and topple down the stairs like a rag doll. It's a shame she's afraid, but then this fear might make her attack me first. I think I'll wait and then if nothing occurs, strike, but silently, so no one is none the wiser. Just one small spell and I could read her mind like a book, like my mother used to. Kianthra smiled to herself at this remark. It always pleased her to be told that she was exactly like Bellatrix.

Don't be afraid, She's only a person Victoire thought to herself, as she watched the devil in front of her pass the wand form hand to hand. Yeah A cowardly part of her mind cired out A person who's gonna either push you down the stairs, or torture you until you fall down the stairs. Either way, you might wanna write your will. SHUT UP! Victoire snapped at the traitorous thought, and drew her own wand, wondering if she was making a huge mistake. "Expelliarmus" She waved the wand, and hoped for the best, knowing fear was the mind killer.

Kianthra stared into the girl's eyes, waiting, watching for any flicker of movement. She seemed to be debating whether Kia was going to push her down the stairs or not. She looked worried, ok, worried was an understatement, terrified out of her wits was more accurate. Like a rabbit caught in the headlights. As the girl drew her wand, Kianthra sighed, so predictable... as she flicked her left wrist to block the spell. She can't even do non-verbal spells? What's wrong with the teaching these days? I could do non-verbal spells at the age of 13. I think I'll give her a chance, after all what harm can it do?.
Finally she spoke in a sinister whisper, "Disappointing effort, not very imaginative was it Victoire? You could have at least put some effort in. I would have expected that response from a second year, not a seventh year." She paused, waiting for Victoire's reaction.

Kianthra thinks she's so great. I wonder how she'd be if I was the one who was a DE and she a member of NO Trying to muster up some pride, Victoire immitated that bored, aloof appearance she often saw on the Slytherein girls. "Imagination." She scoffed, and rolled her eyes. She knew what she was about to say would get her killed, but she had had enough of the Slytherein. She had to stand up for herself. "Maybe if you were worth it." She shifted the books and stood on the stairs, waiting for them to move, so she could get away.

What is she doing now? Trying to become a Slytherin? Oh dear. She can't even get it right when she's not being herself. Ooh, a challenge. Maybe if you were worth it... she was asking for it, and yes she would get it, eventually. At least she's trying to stand up for herself, admittedly she's failing miserably. I still hate her, stupid Weasley girl, she's not even pretty. Why do we allow people as such as this into Hogwarts? They should be banned... but anyway, I could just dispatch her now. That would be rather entertaining.
"Oh but I am worth it Weasley, I'm trying to test your skills, providing help to the, shall we say, less-talented than the rest of the year". The Yew Wand shifted in her hand once more, the impulse to attack was overwhelming, but some how, she had managed to repress it slightly.

"Do you really want me to attack you, Lestrange?" Victoire finally asked, raising an eyebrow. She ran her mind through the most random spells she could come up with, settling on one that would either tick off Kianthra, or distract her long enough for the Weasley girl to flee. Densaugeo A spell that Victoire had learned out of a prank book from her uncle George, that enlarged the victim's teeth dramatically. Though she still struggled with nonverbals, she had to try, or be laughed at from the Death Eater. "Remember you have two more wishes, Miss Lestrange"
Post by Kianthra Lestrange on Jun 26, 2009 20:12:25 GMT
Kia simply smiled, part of her mind game with the Weasley girl. When her teeth began to grow in size, she quickly performed the counter-spell to shrink her teeth back to their normal size. Ok the girl had slightly given it away that she was going to attack. For one, she looked as if she was challenging Kia to a staring contest, her eyes wide with concentration. Secondly, she looked as if she had seen a ghost. Kia laughed, well yes the girl had attempted a non-verbal spell, but she might as well have done a verbal spell. "Two more wishes, Miss Weasley?"
I'd like to push you down the stairs, or over the side, or for you to fall down the stairs, or something along those lines, so that I don't have to see your face. I'd like the NO to fall, crumbling before the might of the DE. I'd love to tell you that Noah will betray you, that he's using you, but of course that would reveal the plan. I'd like to crush the pitiful rebellion, gain total control of the teachers and most importantly teach my brother a lesson.

A dark glare formed on Victoire's face as she watched the enemie's teeth return to their normal size before they had even grown large enough to notice. But the laugh irked her most of all. This angered her more than probably anything else that the Slytherein had said, and despite her fear of her, Victoire tossed another spell her way. "Tarantallegra " Another spell form that book, this one that made the opponent dance, wildly, until relased by the spellcaster. She had given up on the non-verbals, seeing as both she and Kianthra knew she was no good at them, wahtsoever. I'll practice them if I... She was too much of a coward to finish the sentence she had thought up.
