Hmm nice side step there...Kia thought as she glanced at Corliss. That was when it hit her, a simple stunning spell. Then all she felt was falling, weightlessness. In fact Kia had overbalanced and tumbled down the next flight of stairs. Constantly falling until... crunch. She hit the barrier on the floor below with a sickening sound that caused shivers in the group gathered on the floor above. Lying still, Kia breathed in and out slowly, trying to find the source of the pain. That was when she saw it, her right hand looked as if it didn't belong to her. It had been crushed between her and the barrier and was without a doubt broken, even a three year old could have told you that.
That was lucky, I could have fallen over the side of the stairs or I could have broken my left hand. How unfortunate for them that I am left handed. Her eyes remained closed as she pulled the Yew wand from underneath her, surprisingly it had not broken in half. She moved only slightly, of course to the group on the floor above it would look like she wasn't moving at all.

Victoire yelped as Kianthra plowed into the floor, with a sickening, deafening crunch. Something was broken, and as far as Victoire could forced herself to look, it was her right hand. She hadn't meant to do this. She really hadn't. Just a stunning spell, nothing more. She wasn't supposed to fall. That could've been you A small voice prodded in her mind. You could've been on the floor, broken and battered Swallowing, so as she wouldn't hurl, Victoire walked up to the figure -not too close, she wasn't an idiot- and tried to make eye contact. The figure on the floor terrfied her. She had really pushed -not physcially, but you get the point- down the stairs. "Oh my god"
A chill made its way up Rosie's spine when she heard the sickening crunch down below. She cringed slightly before realizing something. Kianthra would be mad as hell when she stood back up. "Vikki get back up here this instant," she called to her cousin before pushing Lily behind her, and muttering under her breath, "Protego!" This formed a barely visable shield in front of her. Any spell except Unforgivables would slide right off this. And Rosie doubted any of the Death Eaters were stupid enough to use Unforgivables inside the school. She hoped a teacher would come upon them before then.
Avery flinched as he heard the crunch below when Kia fell. 'Oh, hell no.' He thought to himself angrily. Right then, and there he had picked a side. The DE. He wasn't going to be 'sitting on the fence', as Kia had put it, anymore. Avery gave Victoire a angry look, as his jaw clenched, and started running all the way down to where Kia had fallen. This was going to get a whole lot uglier.
Finally Avery reached Kia, and looked down at her hand. It was so dis formed, not even looking like a hand anymore. he looked at Kia in the eyes, as he pulled out his wand, with his right hand. He looked back up to the group standing up there looking down at Kia, with sickened faces.

Corliss watched the two girls fight in silence. She laughed softly as the Weasley tripped. She never expected what happened next. She saw Kia fall as Victoire sent the Stunning Spell. "What in the HELL were you thinking?" she half yelled as she followed Avery down the stairs. She was pissed to say the least. She wasn't in the mood to mess around. She saw Kia's broken hand and shivered. The crunch had freaked her out, but she wasn't going to show it. She had to be strong. "Move Avery." she ordered, pointing her wand at the crumbled hand. "Kia, hold still. Episkey!" she said. She watched, praying the spell would heal the broken hand. She wanted to turn and glare at the three Gryffindors, but she was to scared for Kia.

"ME?" Victoire snapped at the fearfull Corliss as she attempted to heal the broken hand. "Oh! Right! Like I totally knew she was gonna fall down the stairs! Don't pay any attention to the fact she woulda shoved Rosie or myslef down the eact same steps. Oh hell friggin no!" She was scared, even with the protection of Rosie's spell. She wasn't sure what to do, and she was even afraid of expulsion. No one would care that Kianthra would have killed her, it only mattered that Victoire's spell had pushed her down the stairs.

Pain. Why won't it go away? My hand's not that badly hurt, a few minutes and it will be fine. Who am I kidding? I guess some Skele-gro's in order. Oh how I hate that stuff. I wonder what everyone else is doing, probably just staring at me. Or something along those lines. Mind you it's not everyday you say I hand crushed beyond recognition is it? I have to admit, that was a pretty big crunch, hopefully it sent shivers down their spines and maybe they'll all jump off the stairs. Oh please don't say the Weasley girl's coming to check if I'm ok. Doesn't she have any respect for herself? Actually she probably just thinks she's "doing the right thing". She probably thinks she's killed me, now that would be entertaining to watch. She'd probably try to throw herself down the stairs. Why do I keep saying probably, am I not capable of choosing another word from my vocabulary? Obviously not.
The approaching footsteps rung loudly in Kia's ears, followed swiftly by both Corliss' and Avery's voices.Oh I give up. The stupid wand can stay there for all I care. Here comes Corliss, my hand is in safe hands. Hmm that's funny I can't feel my hand at all now, oh it's glowing. No Kia had not lost her mind, nor was she suffering from concussion. The episkey spell had resulted in her hand glowing a feint green colour as the spell desperately tried to repair the shattered hand. Hmm I'll just lie here for a while then, there's no point in moving.

Looking bach and forth from person to person, Victoire was practically going insane. She had killed Kianthra. She had actually done it. "Oh my god..." She trying not to freak out. "Please be alive...Please be alive" She was whispering, though the words seemed to be so loud in her ears. She hadn't killed her, no. Oh, please, no. "Rosie" She tried, but she couln't think of any words to continue. Unless. "Should I go get a teacher, or something?" She was so confused. Anyone else would have done it, already, but not the cowardly lion. She wasn't sure what to do.

Corliss waited, watching Kianthra's hand glow. She smiled softly as it began to look slightly less deformed. She listened to the stupid Weasley girl freak out. Finally, after all of her babbling about Kia being 'dead' Corliss turned with a sharp motion. "Would you shut the hell up! Kia is not freaking dead! There is no need for you to get a teacher. Just keep standing there looking as stupid as you are." she said, her voice hard and evil. She wasn't in the mood to deal with their stupid thoughts. She knew Rosie would be mad a her for being so 'rude' to her family. She brought her attention back to her friends broken hand, it seemed to have healed more. "You know, I would like it if you moved. The stupid Weasley girl is freaking out, saying she killed you. I'm about to kill her if she doesn't shut the hell up. Please move, do it for me." she whispered for only Kianthra to hear. She glanced at Avery. She hadn't said much to him, but this really wasn't the time to talk. She returned her attention back to Kia.
Rosie pushed Vikki behind her before turning to the two girls, her face serious, her bottle green eyes commanding. "Both of you get your asses outta here," she said, glancing over her shoulder at the trio on the stairs, "I'll follow you once I can, but for the moment, get the hell out." With that, she pushed her two cousins towards the staircase on the opposite end from the one Kianthra had fell down, before putting on a brave face and turning to the three Slytherins. She was gonna have to patch this up pretty nicely before heading off herself. Perhaps she could heal Kia's hand for her.

Victoire allowed herself to be pushed- she was doing that alot lately- but stayed there. There was no way she was going to leave her cousin to face all three of them by herself. She wouldn't do that even if she was drunken off of Firewhiskey. "Lily, go." She said, to the fourth year, protectivley. She was worried thigns were goign to take a turn for the worse, and she didn't want Lily to get hurt.
Lily let her older cousin push her back and command her to go. Lily crossed her arms in front of her chest. She wasn't going anywhere. She rolled her eyes as Viki told her to leave. "I refuse to let you two face three Death Eaters alone. I will not leave." she said firmly. She looked around Rosie to the three below them and laughed.
Rosie rounded on her cousin, urgency in her voice. She took the girl's shoulders with her hands, looking up, rather than down at her. "Look, Lil," she started, her voice barely above a whisper, so urgent that it commanded attention, "Zane's not here, which means I'm in charge of the two of you. And I'm not going to let either of you get hurt. So go. Get Professor Longbottom. Tell him the three of us need help with our Herbology assignment or something. You're good at making up stories, you'll think of something." It was a sorry assignment, to send her cousin out in search of a teacher, but they really needed one to get them out of this mess, and Rosie needed to get her cousin out of range of some angry Death Eaters. If Vikki wanted to stay, it was party her choice. After all, she was older than Rosie.

Ha ha. The Weasley girl's freeking out, well that's nothing new. She should be pleased with herself, managing to cast a spell that made me fall down the stairs. Surely every one of those NO members has thought it some time this week. Mind you none of them actually had the guts. They seem to be terrified of me. I really don't know why. Do I look dead to you? Actually I probably do from her view point. Get a teacher? What help would that bring to the situation apart from landing the whole lot of us in detention, exactly no help at all. Honestly is that girl brain dead? She never seems to think things through. Surely she knows that every teacher in the school would side against her, including Longbottom, for no one can deny that she pushed me down the stairs. She'd get expelled, and I don't want that, there'd be no one to laugh at. Go ahead, be my guest. Actually that might be a bit messy and would cause a lot of unwanted attention. Oh but Corliss, I'm really happy here. I don't want to move. The Weasel's using her authority, for once. Shame, it doesn't seem to be working. That's another thing that's wrong with the NO, they have a complete lack of respect for authority.
Darkness. So peaceful, exciting and filled with opportunities to cause mayhem and general chaos. Kia's thoughts were interrupted with the mention of Professor Longbottom. He'll side with me, he has to, even though he's the only teacher in the school who still sides with the NO. A tiny spark flitted across her mind which resulted in the fingers on her left hand moving slightly. Kia swore with the wave of pain that swiftly followed. I don't think I'll be getting up from this one and definitely not starting a fight with the NO. I'd still win, but I wouldn't want to risk it. She breathed in slowly so as to avoid causing any unnecessary pain.
So let's count up the injuries. One. A hand smashed beyond recognition. Two. A badly bruised right arm, but I don't think it's broken. Three. Badly bruised right shoulder and there must be a cut there somewhere. I think that's everything, no doubt they'll find something else when that Professor comes.

Charlotte was walking down the halls, rather bored. She was full-filling her duties as head girl and making sure the corridors were clear of students. It had been uneventful so far, she really was in the mood for some kind of entertainment, maybe a third year out of bed or something. She wasn't really paying too much attention as the walked but when she made her way out onto a set of stairs, she heard a spine tingling noise.
She ran up the staircase and saw something that just made her blood boil. Kianthra, on the floor with a very unrecognizable hand, Thank god it wasn't her wand hand. She glared at the three NO members and also noted that Avery and Corliss were there as well, it looked like Corliss was trying to help mend the bones. She clicked her tongue, "Well, well. What has happened here? I highly doubt this can be Kia's fault at all seeing as she's the one hurt, and I see no reason why Malfoy and Bishop would have hurt her. So, as Head girl I demand to know what you three did." She smirked slightly, she was surprised her voice was completely calm as she spoke. She was ready to curse the face off who ever was the one to do this to Kia.
