Avery snickered at Vikki's last question. He answered her, being very careful with how he used his words, "Well, no, not really. I try not to listen to what everyone has to say about everyone else. I'm not the type that judges people. At least, I try not to." Avery trailed off as he thought about Teddy. He had judged him, had he not? Avery didn't like Teddy at all, but he wasn't sure what it was that made him dislike Teddy. Rosie had said that Teddy was a good person. Don't we all have some 'GOOD', and 'EVIL' in us though? That's what Avery thought. He knew one person had good, and evil in them. That person was Corliss. He got the good side though. He had seen her use the Evil side on other people though. Just not on him. Avery Cleared his mind of those thoughts, and looked at Vikki.

"Hmm..." This was confusing. A good Slytherein would be harder to imagine than a Death Eater Zane, or a nice Kianthra. Yet, here one stood before her. He didn't judge people? Ha! She honestly doubted that. Everyone judged people. Rosie, Charlotte, even Noah... "Whatev" She hummed, and pulled out her wand, boredly. "Avis" She murmured, quietly, and a flurry of birds burst from her wand, flutteing around them, and chattering loudy, breaking the silence that had settled.
Avery turned to look at Vikki. She was kind of rude, wasn't she? Avery shook it off, and watched her as birds came out of the end of her wand. Then he thought about what he had said earlier. "About what I said before...about me not being a death eater. Well, I'm most likely going to become one." Avery said quietly. He looked away from the birds, and then looked at the moon.

It was silent for a few moments, as though Vikki just couldn't get what he was saying. She was confused. Bishop was just saying he didn't want to pick a side, so he surely must be messing with her. I mean, Rosie would be pissed if he did, and he was supposed to be a good guy. She let the silence go for another minute, waiting for him to go, "Suprise! Just kidding! I'd never do that", but the response never came. She stared at him, and the fact he was being serious suddenly occured to her. "You...cannot...be...SERIOUS!" She snapped, her voice getting louder in volume each word she spoke. "ARE YOU KIDDING ME? I THOUGHT YOU WERE A GOOD GUY!?! DID YOU JUST COME DOWN HERE TO HARRASS ME!?!" She was screaming, now, and she wouldn't be surprised if another Death Eater showed up, or maybe a very confused friend. She was on her feet, instantly, and the birds flew away as fast as they could. The strange girl barred the odd, pointed teeth she did her best to hide, and snarled like the wolf she almost was. Her wand was in her hand, and she was not feeling very reasonable, all of a sudden.
Avery closed his eyes as Vikki yelled at him. He needed to try to calm her down...to explain what was going on in his mind. "Okay look Vikki...I probably wouldn't be picking a side if Rosie wasn't so freakin' mad at me for dating Corliss! She doesn't understand how much I love Corliss! I wish she would just accept Corliss, like I did Teddy! I have to pick a side now! I don't have a choice! I can't stay on the side all of my life! As, Kianthra put it. I need to pick a side now. You don't understand how hard this is for me!" Avery yelled back at Vikki. He was trying to keep his voice down to a minimum, but it wasn't working out very well for him. This was going to get ugly really fast.

"Love? LOVE? This is about LOVE!?!"" She wasn't going to call Corliss evil like her cousin always did, though Rosie clearly had a reason, but she wans't overly fond of her, either. "TO HELL WITH CORLISS!" Yelling wasn't helping, but it certainly made her feel better. Trying to calm down, she took a sputtering breath, and counted to ten. "Bishop, so you know...they are going to kill all of the Muggleborns, and the half-bloods as well. Few Purebloods are even safe. If they win, everyone you know is going. To. Die." She was trying to keep her temper in check, lest it escape her and make this worse than it had to be. "Me. Zane. Teddy.......Rosie" She said the last name, softly. The protective feeling Avery had for the small seventh year was no secret, and it might have been a dirty trick, but if it worked, who could really blame her?
"Bishop, so you know...they are going to kill all of the Muggleborns, and the half-bloods as well. Few Purebloods are even safe. If they win, everyone you know is going. To. Die."
Avery listened to Vikki calming himself during the time she talked. He knew what the DE was doing. They wanted to get rid of the muggles, and half bloods. Avery hated that. He had almost forgotten about it too. Now, he had no idea what to do. He couldn't think straight anymore. He looked up at the standing Vikki, his face showing no emotion whatsoever. He listened to her speak the last sentence.
"Me. Zane. Teddy.......Rosie"
Avery's jaw clenched very tightly, and he tore his eyes away from Vikki's. He couldn't believe her. She knew how protective he was over Rosie. Even if Rosie wasn't exactly talking to him at the moment. Avery's eyes turned very dark, kinda...evil. He couldn't stand it when people talked about Rosie dying. Avery jumped up from the ground and stood right in front of Vikki. He got extremely close to her. If Vikki, moved her face at all her nose would touch Avery's neck. He looked down at her, his face very tense. "Don't you dare." Avery spoke these three words with darkness, and evilness deep inside them. Avery looked into Vikki's eyes, his eyes very threatening.

"You think threatening me is going solve the problem, Mister Bishop? Well it won't" She couldn't even breath, he was so close. He wand was practically shanking him in the leg, and she could stare right into his eyes, which had turned very nearly black. Putting up her left hand, she shoved him away, and took a step back. She was used to being the tall one, but Avery towered over her. "This is war, Bishop" She said, coldly. "People get hurt. People die for christ's sake! This is going to be your only chance, becasue the minute you choose a side, you are going to have live with a hundred wands constantly pointed at your throat. Don't think this is a game, or some silly school yard brawl. This. Is. War."
Avery felt Vikki's hand push him away from her. He didn't struggle with Vikki, he just allowed her to push him away. He needed to chill out. He needed Corliss. Corliss would calm him down. Avery had come down to the Whomping Willow to relax to forget about his horrible day. It didn't seem to be going the way he planned though. He was getting even more heated. He breathed in and out a couple times, trying to calm himself down as he listened to Vikki. Avery sat back down on the ground feeling weak all of a sudden. As if someone had drugged his 'drink'. He layed all the way down trying to clear the feeling. Then he hopped back up ignoring the feeling that was still growing. He stepped back towards Vikki, getting angry once more. "Listen to me, I don't give a shit anymore. I need to pick a freakin' side, and if you can't understand that or deal with it, then just go crawl in a hole, and die. I'm so sick, and tired of this." Avery snatched his wand from his pocket, and yelled, "Stupify!" Immediatly after this word exploded out of Avery's mouth, a jet of red light errupted out of the end of his wand. It hit Vikki in the chest. Vikki fell to the ground with a thud, and she was immediatly in an unconcious state. Avery walked over to her, standing above the unmoving body, of Vikki. Avery had no expression on his face whatsoever.
Rosie had been staring out the window, admiring the stars that had appeared in the sky not long ago. But, a moment later, something caught her eye on the ground. Movement. By the Whomping Willow. Then there was a flash of red light; a Stunner Spell. Rosie grabbed her wand and pulled her robe closer to her body, before writing a note to leave near a sleeping Ted, slouching in a chair by the fire. She hurried out the portrait hole, and headed down to the Entrance Hall, pushing out the doors and heading out into the night.
Across the Grounds, she could see movement, and as she got closer, she could make out two figures. And who they were surprised her even more than where they were. Avery Bishop, standing over a motionless Vikki, who seemed to be unconscious. Which got Rosie's usually non-existent temper flowing swiftly. No one hurt her family. Or rendered them unconscious near a deadly tree. Either one was completely off limits. As she approached, a look of pure hatred filled her face. "How DARE you!" she screamed at the boy, before quickly disarming him, pocketing her wand in a small pocket inside her fluffy purple robe. She walked towards him, her wand pointed towards her heart. "How DARE you hurt my cousin!" She was angry for a fraction of a moment more, before her anger faded, and it was filled with a perpetual sadness. "Who are you, Avery?" she asked, her voice hardly above a whisper, as she lowered her wand, "Are you going to turn into another puppet for the Death Eaters? How many people will you hurt? How many sick, twisted things are they gonna force you to do before you realize that it's all wrong?"
Avery's wand flew out of his hand, right as he heard Rosie threaten him. She threatened him once more, this time she was standing close to him. He looked into her hate filled eyes, but then they softened becoming sad. Avery wanted to hold her, to tell her it was okay. He knew he couldn't though, that she wouldn't let him. Avery listened to her ask him many questions that filled his head. "How am I?! God, you hardly have the right to ask me that Rosie. I am freakin' torn apart! Mostly because of you!" Avery yelled at her trying to keep his voice down. He couldn't control his anger anymore he needed to let it all out. He couldn't hold it in. "If you would have just accepted Corliss as my girlfriend, like I did for you with Teddy, then we wouldn't be in this shit! I wouldn't be just an inch away from picking the side of the DE!! You're forcing me to go to the DE! I can't stand it anymore okay? Not being your friend anymore is tearing me apart! I'm dying inside, Rosie!" Avery kept yelling at Rosie, he couldn't help it. He was about to go kill something. That's what he felt like doing, at least. He had so much anger, and sadness in him. He picked up a nearby rock, seeing as it was the only thing he could use, and chunked it at the Whomping Willow. He turned back at Rosie, seeing the hurt in her eyes. "I'm sorry Rosie, I just... I couldn't hold it in anymore."
She looked at him, a question on the tip of her tongue. Pocketing her wand, she walked around him in circles, pondering over what he'd just said as she did. Silence reigned over the two of them for a few minutes as she thought and wondered what she should say to him. Finally, she'd thought enough, and it was time for action. "Do you really think Corliss would still want you if she knew you were friends with me? If you came over and were a member of the New Order, she wouldn't. It's not so simple. She wants the twisted image of you she has in her head, where you're a Death Eater, and you hurt people like she does. If I'd kept being friends with you, you'd already be an NO member, and she wouldn't be your girlfriend. Is that what you want, Avery?"
Avery started getting a whole lot dizzier in a matter of seconds. He didn't know why though. Maybe it was all this stress going on in his life? Or possibly the lack of food? He hadn't eaten all day long, because he was so stressed. Avery tried to shake of the dizziness that had swallowed him whole. He could still see Rosie, but everything else was blurry. He felt himself shaking. Something was wrong with him, but he had no idea what. He couldn't seem to find his voice either. "Rosie..." That was all Avery could say, he began to crash. He tried to fight it, tried to fight the dizziness, but...
Rosie was confused. Avery looked a little dizzy. She rushed over to him, steadying him on his feet before sitting him down on a conveniently-placed boulder. "You all right, Avery?" she asked, looking at him, concern in her eyes. All her anger of before was forgotten, even if the sadness was still there. However, she was still a little frustrated with him, even if he was in a rather odd state at the moment.
Avery heard Rosie's voice, but it sounded very distant. He felt himself sitting on a boulder the next moment. He didn't know how he had gotten there, all he knew was that Rosie was by his side, asking him if he was alright. "Yeah... I'm fine... no... no, I'm not..." Avery clutched at his hurting stomach. What was going on with him? He shook his head, and tried to clear all of the fogginess. He couldn't seem to shake it away though. He blinked several times, and turned to to 'look' at Rosie. He couldn't stay focused on her, then his stomach made him gag. He didn't puke, though, he just gagged. Avery closed his eyes, and then reopened them. He did this several times trying to allow himself to see once more.
