As soon as she said she would sing, his eyes lit up in horror. "Oh please Rosie, anything but that." he pleaded. That whole year she drove him insane with the nonsense songs from this Muggle musical. He was still wondering how he managed to live through the attack, day in and day out. He shuddered with the thought, then a wide grin grew across his face.
"Thanks Rosie." he said, knowing he had to move one, it had been almost 17 years now and he was still grieving. Beside, he had a family, and they cared a lot about him, and they hated when he sulked, just as much as Rosie did. And of course Rosie knew him the best, they had grown up together.
Rosie grinned at him, watching his hair turn back to its regular turquoise. Although, there was still a hint of blue, his melancholy color, in it. She worried about him a lot. He could be so down in the dumps at times and she just wondered if maybe he was wasting his time, grieving over something that he couldn't change. Sure, he should remember Tonks and Remus, but Rosie was sure they would't want their son thinking about them all the time.
"Not a problem, love," she answered, pushing her bishop across the board and taking one of Teddy's pawns. As she saw his face go into thinking mode, she began to hum loudly, the same song that he hated so much.
Teddy scoffed as one of her bishops took his pawn, but smiled and moved his knight to take her bishop. He smiled as the two pieces had their fight before Rosie's bishop fell and moved off the board. "You don't stand a chance Rosie, you know I'm the king of chess." Ted gleamed, sitting back in his seat, a crooked smile on his face.
Rosie had to be one of the only friends that new everything about him. Heck, she was practically family, or at least he was practically family to the giant Weasley clan because of his god father. Rosie was definitely the only one who knew him the best out of everybody he knew, they had been friends since birth after all. She knew what to say to make him feel better and when he was just hiding his emotions, to the best of his abilities.
She prodded her pawn forward to take his knight, watching the fight, amused. His knight was no match for her ferocious pawn. In fact, it was the same pawn that she'd previously had to encourage into wanting to even play.
"Cheer up, Charlie Give me a smile What happened to the smile I used to know?"
As she sang in her rather loud voice, people from around the Common Room turned to stare at her. She laughed uproariously, prodding Teddy to join along with her.
"Don't you know your grin has always Been my sunshine; Let that sunshine show..."
Teddy looked hopeless as his knight was taken down by her pawn. His hair turned a light red as she began to sing. It would never turn a true blood red with angry from Rosie, she was just too close to him for him ever to be truly angry. "Rose Ginerva Wealsey, I swear to Merlin, if you do not stop at this moment, I will unleash my rath upon you." he said, his hair turning a more orangey color as he laughed, a mischevious smile upon his face. He had known her too long now not to know where her most ticklish parts were. But he used them only when need of course.
Rosie barked a laugh. "Unleash away, my dear Teddy," she answered, before contining to sing.
"Come on, Charlie No need to frown Deep down you know tomorrow is your toy..."
In her breaths in between, she glanced at Teddy, giving him a wolfish grin and scrunching her nose up in happiness. When she did this, she looked a slight bit like the badger that she took the form of in her Patronous.
"When the days get heavy Never pitter patter Up and at'em boy!"
Teddy giggled, actually giggled, when he saw her scrunch up her face. For now, the game was forgotten, more important things were coming at hand. "Don't say I didn't warn you Rosie." he chuckled, his grin wolfish. His hands rose and he lunged for her sides, attacking them with full force. He wasn't even sure the game would make it through the attack, all he cared about was to stop her from singing that bloody song.
Rosie let out a scream as she saw Teddy attack her. However, it was cut off the moment he touched her sides as an attack of giggling overwhelmed her. In fact, she was laughing so hard, she could hardly breathe.
"Alright, alright, I'll stop!" she said breathlessly, still laughing her head off, "Gawdd, I though you'd forgotten about my ticklish spots Ted. I suppose I really do underestimate you, don't I?"
Still laughing slightly, she pushed him off of her, and got back up on the couch, seeing as she'd fallen off in the process of being tickled to death.

He laughed as she agreed to stop, pushing him off of her. He was laughing just as hard, after her squealing. He sat himself back up and looked at her. "GAWWWD." he mimicked her, bursting into laughter again, falling onto his back. It earned him a few stares, but he didn't mind. He sat back up and smiled at her, before taking his spot on the couch again, a victorious smile on his face.
"And how could I forget your most ticklish spot? It's my job after all, to know everything about you. And yes, you do underestimate me." he smiled, leaning back in his seat.
Now with the whole Common Room staring at them, Rosie adjusted herself on the couch, slapping him when he mimicked her, but laughing all the same. "I do NOT sound like that, young man," she said, trying to be stern, but failing miserably. How stern could she be when she was trying your hardest to breathe between her bouts of uncontrolable laughter?
Still grinning, she leaned forward and pushed her pawn forward to take one of his own little fighting force. "Y'know, that's kinda creepy," she said, thinking hard. "I know everything about you..." She said it in a creepy voice, looking at him with twitchy eyes. After a moment, her face went back to normal. "C'mon Ted, how cliche can you get?"
He fake flinched as she hit him, pretending that it had actually hurt him. "You totally do Rosie, well not really, just when you have your moments." he laughed, watching as one of his pieces fell again. This really wasn't turning out to be his game. He then noticed his rook and took down one of her pawns, the one that had taken his down in the first place.
He burst into laughter again as she spoke in her creeper voice, earning a groan from some first year. When he looked over, he noticed the tint of red in their cheeks, and he apologized and turned back to Rosie, a look of pure amusement on his face from doing absolutely nothing wrong. "Why am I cliche again?" he laughed, actually forgetting what they were talking about before.
This statement, in itself made Rosie burst out laughing. She couldn't stop and she feared that her lungs would simply blow up and she would just keel over right there next to Teddy, never to be heard from again, the shadow of her suicidal laughter still haunting the air around her. After a moment of calming breathing, during which she used the common in through the nose, out through the mouth technique, she was finally able to talk again.
"Honestly, Ted, you're like a giant dog," she told him, still giggling a bit, a huge grin plastered across her face, "Can you say ADD?"
As she burst into laughter again, he couldn't help but laughing along with her. Heck, that was his usual nature, he laughed and mostly everything. He was terrible when someone got hurt, he would have to leave the room from stopping himself from being rude. Oh goodness, it was bad. He began to calm down a little before she did, and began to chuckle as she called him ADD.
"A giant dog am I? Must be the wolf in me." he chuckled, scrunching up his mouth and nose, moving them every which way. He had seen photos of his mum doing this, she usually did a duck though. His specialty was, ironicly, a dog. Soon on his face was a brown muzzle, a tongue hanging out to the side, and one of the goofiest smiles on his face.
Rosie couldn't help but remember Tonks as he changed his nose into the muzzle of a dog. Her father and mother as well as her Uncle Harry and Aunt Ginny had told her stories of the famous Tonks and the silly faces she used to make. She seemed like she was a wonderful person and often times, Rosie wished that her Teddy would have just gotten to meet her, if only for a day, or even an hour. And his father too. Remus seemed to her to be a bit like Harry, although more serene and fatherlike than her uncle.
Coming back to reality, she giggled hysterically at his antics, reaching up her hand to pet his furry muzzle. How real if felt under her hand. Like an actual dog. She idly wondered what it would be like to be a like Teddy, a Metamorphagi. "See, Ted? It's TOTALLY you. Although, I would feel kinda weird walking around with a half-dog, half-human at my side. People would stare," she joked, her nose scrunching up again as she continued to laugh silently to herself.
As her finger grazed his nose, his tongue darted up and licked her hand, chuckling as he returned his face back to human. He nodded his head, agreeing with her. "Yes, Wonderlass and he side kick Wonderdog. We'd be quiet a team Rosie. But to tell you the truth, we already get quiet a few amount on stares already." he laughed, and he suddenly felt that there were a lot less people starring at them now. Serves them right.
"I'm just wondering now, how Zane can ever put up with us?" he laughed, looking out the window, to see if he could see someone flying around on a broom out there.
