"Not as long as you do Rosie. I had to wait at least a half hour for you this morning. And frankly, guys don't notice girls just because their pretty. It had to do with their personality to you know." Teddy said, his eyes locked onto Rosie's. "Not all guys are shallow. Take me for instance, I like girls who are a little crazy." he smiled, looking away for a moment, a noted small ting of pink in his cheeks, and the back to her as she spoke again.
"My my Rosie, I never knew you had such a dirty mind. Tsk tsk, you should be ashamed." Teddy laughed, wagging a finger in front of her face.
"Well if it was any other girl in this Common Room, you'd be waiting for hours," she answered, "I pride myself in being the fastest to get ready in the morning. At least in this house."
Rosie laughed a little. "Let me rephrase that. MOST guys (excluding Theodore Remus Lupin) tend to notice girls just because their pretty." Then she smiled tilting her head a little to the side. "You, m'dear, are one of a kind."
She opened her mouth, feigning surprise when he commented about her dirty mind. "The dirtiest in all of Hogwarts. Besides the one Hufflepuff kid who's only comeback to anything anyone says is 'that's what she said'. Believe me, he comes up with some pretty interesting combinations."

Teddy smiled and laughed as she called him one of a kind. "One of a kind indeed." He smiled, but then he felt his hair beginning to change it's color, stopping it before it had chance to. Not now. he thought-scolded himself, letting her next comment take over his thougts.
"Oh I know that kid. It kind of bother's me, especially when you're trying to have a conversation with someone and he just walks over and spits out the comment randomly. He's in our Transfigurations class right? Or is It Mythical Creatures.." Teddy said, thinking hard for a moment. Those two were his best classes, so he usually paid attention because he found them interesting, or goofed off and talked to a few other students.
Rosie noticed his hair change slightly before fading back to turquoise. It puzzled her a bit, but she ignored it, thinking it was just his emotions. She'd known him forever and she was still just getting used to his rapidly changing moods and his temper. Of course, after almost seventeen years, she was getting pretty good at reading his mood and adjusting herself to fit it. Sometimes, she had to be a little more serious with him than other times. She focused her eyes on him as he began talking again.
"I think he's in Transfiguration. Good Lord, he's the most irritating person I've ever met. You're lucky I'm not like that," she said jokingly, a grin spreading across her face. She knew if Ted was like that, she probably wouldn't be friends with him. Sure, he could be a little annoying at times, but she could get over that. He was less annoying that anyone else she'd ever met, most of whom had a rather irritating disposition. Practically everyone did. Except Teddy.
He noticed that she had been looking at his hair, she must of noticed the slight change, but he wondered if she noticed the color. He hoped to god she didn't, she could read his hair much to good for his liking. He just waved it off for now, trying to push it into the past.
"I'm quiet lucky you aren't like that. I think I'd probably have to kill you. But you do have your moments, like singing you Muggle musical songs. I blame your darling mother for that one." he laughed, shaking his head slightly at her craziness. But that song was apart of her childhood, and she always sang it when he was sad. And of course, it would always bring a smile to his face, no matter how annoying the song truly was.
Though she hadn't noticed what color his hair had been on the verge of changing into, she thought she had a sense of it. It was sort of nagging at the back of her mind, reminding her of something, but she couldn't quite remember what it was. However, it was no use trying to think of it now. It'd probably take her just about forever to remember. It always did. Even if she had a good memory, it failed her sometimes.
"Ahh, yes, my mother is to blame for everything. She got me hooked on musicals. They are quite an interesting idea, you've gotta give the Muggles that. They've got good ideas," she answered him, thinking idly of her mother. Hermionie Weasley was an interesting soul. She was a bit of a firecracker, especially when she and Rosie's father were having a fight, but other times, she could be the kindest person in the world.
Teddy thought for a moment, since his grandmother wasn't very into Muggle things, he only encountered them when he visited Rosie and such. The only musical he had seen was the Chocolate Factory one, which he did have to agree, had quiet a interesting storyline. Even now, he was still fond of the story about a boy traveling to the Wonka Chocolate Factory.
"I've only seen the Chocolate Factory one with you, so I wouldn't know. You should show me some more sometime. Though the songs get stuck in your head, that one had a good storyline there. I was entertained." Teddy mused, thinking about what the Muggles could come up with.
Contrary to Teddy's household, Rosie's was practically obsessed with Muggle things. Her fathers parents lived with them, and her grandfather was completely obsessed with Muggle things. Which was probably a good thing, as her other grandparents were Muggles. Even after almost twenty years, Grandpa Arthur had yet to get over the fact that he was related, even through marriage, to Muggles. It delighted the heck out of him.
"Yeah, I've GOT to show you the Sound of Music," she said, putting a finger on her chin in the common thinking position, "It's almost better than Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. Almost. And I should show you Mary Poppins. That one's really messed up cause there's this lady who flies with an umbrella and pulls lamps and furniture out of her suitcase. But I think you'd enjoy it."

He gave her a curious look as she spoke of a women pulling things out of her suitcase. "Well that's quiet curious, but the things Muggle's come up with these days is quiet peculiar. Every time I go over to your house, your grandpa Arthur shows me something new that Muggles have come up with, it's really interesting, sometimes. But half of the stuff I find quiet useless. And it makes me wonder, what I would do without my magic, honestly, some things are impossible for them to do without magic." Teddy said, quiet astonished. He couldn't imagine traveling to and from places without a bit of Floo Powder. But Muggles could travel for days to get to one spot. It was a bit foolish in his mind.
"Quite strange, isn't it, what they're thinking of these days. Cell phones are a stroke of genius in my opinion. Even if I have no idea how to work one of them. They're still quite amazing. And computers. Have you seen those things? They're positively amazing. Muggles do quite well, surviving without magic. I sometimes wonder where us magical type would be without it. I mean, the DE wouldn't be that scary, if they didn't have magic."
It wasn't a bad idea, taking magic away from the DE. Although, it would be exceedingly difficult to do. But, it would work wonders on the well-being of the magical community. A threat would be taken care of, and the world would once again be safe from such evil things.
"Yes, that's what you grandpa showed me last time, a cell phone. Quiet interesting, but I would have no use for one. I find it funny however, I read the Muggle newspaper one day and they were going about how teenagers spent too much time 'texting'. Their world is being taken over by technology." Teddy said, shaking his head slightly, laughing at the thought of every Hogwarts student with a cell phone, texting away. but he had to agree, the computer thing they had invented was quiet a piece of technology.
"The DE without magic.. now that would be a sight to see." he said, looking away for a moment, just thinking about how much better the world would be without them. He looked back to Rosie. "Are you afraid?" he said, his voice nearly a whisper.
"Arthur's a bit obsessed," Rosie tried to explain, her brow furrowing for a moment as she worried over her grandfather. "He's getting older, but he has yet to retire. And he walks around Muggle towns, staring at them as though their animals in the zoo. He buys tons of their crap, just so he can take it apart and look at it. And they find him strange too. He has WAY too much money for a man as scruffy and old as he is, and I think they're becoming suspicious..."
Though she was worried over her grandfather, she couldn't help but find him a little funny. She would find him in his workshop in the basement of the Weasley houshold, tinkering away with a child's toy, chuckling softly to himself. She could watch him for hours, he was so interestingly amusing. "It's a shame that Muggle things go hay-wire when they enter Hogwarts. There are a couple of their gadgets that I wouldn't mind bringing to school."
Rosie looked down at her hands when he asked her the next question. She thought about if for a moment. "I'm scared as hell. Aren't you? I mean, I couldn't care less if they hurt me, but if they get to you or Zane or any of the little first years, I don't think I could handle it. I mean, we're supposed to protect each other, right? Have each other's backs. I guess I'm just afraid that I might not be able to do that."

Just picturing Arthur in the middle of a town, just starring at Muggles as they walked past made Teddy chuckled, shaking his head. The bloke was amazed by anything non-magical, especially little children toys, that's what seemed to amuse him the most. He wondered how such an old and wise man can be so interested in a rubber duck toy. Harry, after dealing with Arthur since he was a student at Hogwarts, still couldn't get over the old bloke.
He had obviously hit a soft spot with his question, even as simply as it was. His hands moved over hers, holding her small hands in his. "Hey." he said, looking at her face. "Look, nothing is going to happen to anyone alright? Of course I'm scared, but that's human nature. I just use that fear to channel making sure I'm going to be alright. I'm going to make sure, if a war breaks out, that everyone going in is well prepared. Last thing I want is anyone, especially Zane.. or you.." he couldn't even think about it. He looked down at their hands for a moment, moving one away to tip her chin up so their eyes could meet. "Nothing is going to happen to any of us." he promised her.

Rosie looked at him, worried. "How can you be so sure?" she asked him, a thread of urgency in her voice, "What if they catch you or Zane off guard in the corridors or something? We need to make sure that we always stick together. That way we'll always be able to protect each other. That's what friends are for, right?"
She was still worried as she finished up her proposition. That was one of her biggest fears. That the DE would do something to her friends. Something that was irreversible. Like Professor Longbottom's parents. She closed her eyes for a moment, before opening them, trying to rid that idea from her head. She knew what Charlotte, Kianthra, and Scorpius were capable of. That they were teaching it to the rest of their group. And that scared her. Pretty soon, they wouldn't be able to fight them off anymore.
"Rosie." he sighed gently as she worried some more. "One, you need to learn to stop worrying, you're worst then me and my temper." he chuckled, his eyes locked onto hers. "And two, you know Zane can handle himself, he has showed us time and time again. The only time he screws up is when one of us are near, because he is worrying about us and trying to fight at the same time. But, if its what makes up feel better, we can stay in groups when we are outside the common room." he told her, still trying to reassure her.
He was more worried about being caught by himself, with no one to tell him to calm down, that they are trying to set him off. Rosie was usually there for that, but when it came to Quidditch and such, since he wasn't apart of any of that, he found himself alone, and of course sometimes Scorpius would be around. He usually would say something about him being the seed of a metamorphagus and a werewolf, trying to set him off, and it usually would. But thankfully, he would just laugh and walk away. But what would happen to him if he was left alone? He would sure die the night they decide to strike him alone. But he wouldn't mention this to Rosie, this would freak her out even further.
