Ahh, the angst and stress of homework. Such a frivolous thing it was, after all. Its only use was to pound some piece of knowledge into your head, which you probably wouldn't remember in ten years anyways. But, still, it was something that had to be done. And something that no student in Hogwarts would tell you they enjoyed. Especially not Rosie Weasley.
Splayed, arms spread wide and head face-down on an open book, on a table in the Gryffindor Common Room, Rosie wasn't exactly the happiest camper ever at the moment. Her stress level had been raising itself slowly all week, and now, on Saturday evening, she was forced to do all the homework that'd been piling up over the week. Essays and open books took up most of the table, as well as the potted Irish Cactus she'd been assigned to take care of in Herbology for the month of October. Though she'd watered it every Tuesday (as recommended; the plants were rather crotchety on any other day) with centaur urine, the cactus wasn't looking too hot.
However, the good news was, she was on her last essay of the day. She'd started at seven that morning with Transfiguration - practicing her Switching Spells - which she'd finished by nine, and then headed to her Potions essay, which was on the properties of Hepholas Tentacles, and a total waste of her time. She'd finished that by lunch, when she'd taken a short break to head down to the Great Hall to skarf down some shepherd's pie before heading back up to the Common Room and practicing some defensive magic for DADA. She'd worked on this extra hard, as she knew the New Order would need all the help it could get. After that, she'd observed her Irish Cactus for half an hour and written down observations for Herbology. Now, she was on her Charms essay, which was on the pros and cons of Cheering Charms. The sky outside was just turning a dusky shade of reddish orange, a signal that day was coming to a close.
How she could use a break right about now.
